And this is while they are practically starving, can't wait to see them all juiced up.

Shots from the jar. Skunk is on the left with LA on the right.

Thanks CDM, just finished beefing up my soil mix for the next 3 gallon run. I think I am done with the perpetual approach for a little while. If I had a space like yours, I would probably be all over the place ;)

Right now I have 6 plants in 1 gallons, the goal is 9. I can let the soil mix cook for a while before potting them up to 3 or 5 gallons. Then veg them in the 3x3 for a few weeks give them a little extra time before the flip.

Nice grow mate I'll be looking out.

Mind if I ask where I can find such led unit? I'd love to have one of those in my grow.

Good to see you around these parts lloyd :D Not too much action over here in LED land.

frozty, whats up man? I order them directly from the company, but they don't sell singles that way anymore. The company is Evergrow, and they mainly make products for other people to resell, so maybe if you contact them they can point you to a distributor. I found them on ali-baba after an aquarium friend told me about them. You can find the specs earlier in the thread, probably on the first page.

I am honestly not sure, and it has been an evolving process the last 8-9 months.

Probably 2-3 weeks in solo cups after rooting, then transplanted to 3 gallons. Another week, then topped. The most recent 3 hazes I think were also topped again a few weeks later and stayed in veg for a while. I had to thin them out, some of the branches were really thin. The mature 3 gallon haze was only topped once and probably spent a month in the 3 gallon pot before being flowered.....same with the LA and NlxSkunk I took down just recently before the 1 gallon haze.

I think my veg lighting is in-adequate, and is my current priority now that I have amended my soil and have it cooking. Currently I rooted clones in solo cups of soil, and let them get practically root bound before transplanting. They went into the 1 gallon smarties, and will get bumped up to 3's or 5's once the soil is ready. I will then veg them for a week or two in the larger flowering tent before flipping them. I am done with perpetual for a while.

This haze is a funky plant

It is happening on all the buds top to bottom on that plant, the one gallon did this a little bit... but not as bad. Certainly not temp related, unless it's the temp swing. 64-73 lately.

Actually, this plant is always leaning over pretty good... maybe it's having some distribution issues? Like it LST'd itself?

I need some bamboo sticks.

Wow, just fell onto this!!!!! Fantastic------- On day 58 (from seed) 2 plant DWC @ 300w led... Using Cutting Edge 3 part in 36 X 24 X 56 tent......12 on 12 off from germination...

My indica is growin' short and the sativa branched and I bent and tied them down, looks like I will receive good joy from it.....

Seem to get bigger buds and more of them on the indica under HPS, but don't really know yet, probably have 28 more days till harvest though.....will know then.....

Wondering what you think of the quality & quantity of LED vs HPS------this is the first I've had with LED, usually use a 400hps......

400/600g + under 400w HPS

Now, please remember,,,,this is A DWC system.....

Nice dude, certainly packed a lot of buds in there. Does the LED draw 300 watts, or is it 300 watts worth of diodes? Right from seed huh? Thats awesome!

The quality is no doubt, just as good if not better than HPS. I have, and will be again, running one of these cuts under 1k HPS.

As for quantity, I am still getting my feet wet with this water only organic recycled soil. I think my yields reflect my noobness with soil, rather than the LED. I have a couple of friends running this same brand and spectrum, they say the yields are fine.

I am a lot more proficient at growing in hydro.

Here are some shots from the next victim

Looks delightfully healing!!!!:tiphat: Using Full Spectrum 300 watt.....(100 3Watt)

Used soil for years in 1 - 3 gal pots, but really like the yields from DWC...can do a 3 plant run and get as much as a 6 - 1 gal and even 4 - 3gal at most times.....Water temp was a trick for a while since there is almost no heat, but keep the nutes at 76/82 F. the only question is why does the Indica shorten so much? This Aroura Indica is 10" shorter than using HPS.......and its yield looks to be somewhat less.......

I operate on a 12 on 12 off from start....water temp @ 76/82F w/Cutting Edge 3 part and top twice.....once at about 7" and again at 12/13". then bend and tie or break and tie....only remove fans if they are blocking rays.....Flush every 4 weeks.....Using less nutes with the LED's

But, let the good times roll :woohoo: and I will try to return every once in a while to keep you posted...

Santa is coming soon and I want to be ready......:peacock:

Have great Holidays and keep the pains away

I have yet to start a seed 12/12 under LEDs, does your spectrum contain 720-740nm? It could be causing the plant to mature faster and you have less early growth thus less yield because of it. That is just a guess.

Also, 100x 3watt LEDs likely draws ~ 225 watts from the wall. From my experience with them, I think it would be closer to 300 watts of HPS than 400 watts. That could be some of the yield difference. Are you running the same strains?

Hey DZL - sick plants and great photos :good:

What tent do you have - I am in need of a few 3x3 tents was wondering which one your using and if you could chime in on its light proof abilities as that seems to be the biggest of issues with and for tents. Anything else to help me make a great investment with my purchase and not a headache?

Thanks brother! good vibes and blessings

In my experience, the far far red (it's not really infrared, I don't think) keeps the plant's flowering hormones at a higher level due to the phytochrome activity. This, for me, causes really rapid onset of flowers and reduced stretching. There is a chance it could be shortening the period your seedlings have to grow and they start producing buds at a smaller stature.

Lots of people seem to be running Black Jack, and I think I want to give it a whirl myself.

Thanks LyryC, I got this tent on the cheap on amazon (90 bucks shipped). The material is fine, the poles are strong. The stitching is not great, especially on the zipper. There are flaps along the sides and back for passive air intakes, and they are far from light proof. The corner connectors for the poles are plastic. It works for me, but certainly can't recommend to someone who needs a true quality product.

Lyryc: I use a black tire marking crayon on the seams to fill the voids in the stitch......On the intakes I use 2 90 degree L's the size of the opening, sprayed black to cut down on the invasive light.....works great and you can run your electric out thru the L.s.....

Thanks brothers.

I was looking at investing in my tents so that they pay daddy back ;)

Gorilla - Growlab - Hydrohut or Secret Jardin - I already have a veg tent from amazon on the cheap and it opened my eyes to the nightmare of a job a tent this cheap would require for quality - worry free flowering operations.

I love the tire crayon - that shits legit - I hope more people find that little 4 leaf clover - great advice thanks man :good:

Good idea on the elbows 2 - flat black for sure! with electrical tape on the outside seems as you can torque around and get a super nice tight seal that will stick.

My Hydrostore has quoted me MUCH cheaper on tents they have that are also on amazon. They are currently redoing their tent displays and have one from each maker they carry being put up so i'll get a good idea of what I can fuck with.

Rather have a tent I can prop up and use right away and getting going without wasting lots of time fiddling with it to make sure its not going to fuck me over down the road. Aint nobody got time for that!

Thanks again for spreading the love fellahs - good vibes n blessings

:smoke out:

Yea I went cheap because the tent is usually in the dark anyway, more of a light container.

That three gallon came in around 43 grams

A lot nicer than the 1 gallon, can't wait to see them in the heavier soil mix.
