Yes I should have kept a few more males but with my shop closing up for a bit I was worried I'd have too much to take care of on auto pilot when I was gone. Normally I keep 4 and mix the pollen up but my clone box is jammed full and I could barely fit the two clones as it is now. Trust me, sometimes I hardly know what I'm doing, trying to hang all this bud, trim the dry stuff, stay awake etc, it all wears me down!!:)
The big late CBDB turned out to be much stronger than the early one. I smoked a chuffer yesterday and let 2, 5 gal bottles overflow onto the floor and made a big old mess. One bottle is normal but two means I was "over the limit". Luckily there's a hole in the floor there and the water goes down into the sand. In the winter I cover the spot with a carpet and yesterday was freezing in the morning and the cold was coming up fast.
Everything is finally down and I'm trimming what's coming up the rear dried whole. Now I have plenty of space to spread out the plants I have crammed into my other rooms.:) My carriage turns into a pumpkin on Jan 1st.

Been a bit busy lately. Finally cleaned out the room and took the last bud on the 96th day of 12/12. I just plain and simple put myself in over my head and I was overwhelmed with the maintenance.
Having some excellent luck with the Early Pearl X Mullum S5. This one I'd finally had a chance to move from w cramped spot into a luxurious HPS setting. This is one of the bigger, broad leafed 9 blade units. The fans were big so I counted the blades...:)
The weather's changed for the better and I'm having great temps. Still loads to clean up. You can see the jumbo blue pot I'd used for HL's F-13 x HW. Now the coco's drying out and it's a table for a seedling.:) Not a bug around...I think so screw it!!

Yes I'll be shut down but keeping some veg going with a friend at the house. I need to do a few things before I have no knees left.:) I can't tell you enough how I need two weeks away from my tiny town, perpetual growing can be a prison and I want to break the long running trend!:blowbubbles:

Well buddy enjoy your vacation...before you know it it'll be here!

I guess its a blessing in disguise growing OD.... busy every spring(prep), summer and fall(harvest) but at least I'm not there daily and get winters off lol

Time spent in the grow room, stoned, just taking it all in, priceless!

A month off and he'll be doing cup grows, just cause he has to. :D

When I was a younger man I had the winters off too. I had 2k of non cooled lamps and 2 rockwool trays on drip. All in the back room of a cold adobe with 12' ceilings. I still regret not having the genepool or the balls to take advantage of the cold room and high roof. I had a woodstove in there for heat and smell wasn't an issue because I had one visitor in 4 yrs that I didn't know. I was more scared in the early 90's they really wanted to bust your ass then. Colorado used to string you up!
The 2 lights were a vacation from summer growing although they did keep me close by because you can never ever trust for too long!!:) I certainly miss my outhouse and the donkey that stood outside making noises. All I have here is a motorcycle madman who comes out when I get up and drives up and down at 100mph popping wheelies. I watched him from the bushes one night. He must be a cop or crazy. He's out every night burning rubber. I don't mind one bit, I'm glad somebody's blowing off steam!!
No pictures, same old thing around here although I dry trimmed a lovely Frisco yesterday.

That is a beautiful plant Slip! I know to most people looking at them, they are at extreme opposite ends of the spectrum.
I see them differently. Just smoked 2 bowls of Mullum, 2 of Early Pearl, and 2 of them mixed.
These lines will combine VERY well.
:woohoo:

edited to add: I wrote this last night but was so stoned I forgot to post it before I crashed.

I pulled out the big 8 tube T5 yesterday that I'd raised these under and dropped in my 1000 HPS. Then flipped the T5 on it's side vertically as a wall because the room is open at that end and wow:) those plants jumped up like crazy. I thought they might cower from the 1000 at first so I kept it high. I swear those plants were moving their fans back and forth.
Now they all have plenty of space and more and the last transplant I made late turned male so I'll have 2 male cuts if I choose. When I transplanted from 2 gal to 4 etc I cut back the roots and shaved off any ugly patches. Some took a bit to jump up again but they've taken off fast.. I have a giant Tahoe in the way back and another big Frisco in front.
The Sour BX buds I'm packing away have the tough, stickiness of the Lucifer clones. I'm happy as hell about that. I have some nice sour to compare it to, they're nothing alike , I doubt I'll beat the sour clone but I can sure try!:)
This cold weather is making me really happy although in the middle of the day, around 9 am they need ac and the thing's been icing up on me. I wonder if a 6" pipe from my other flower room, through a scrubber into the ac face would solve this? I was hoping to take the thing out but the daytime has been in the 50's and I can't help maxxing my lamps to meet the cool weather. I wish I had a picture but I've been trimming and watering...not much to see!!

This is my shorty. I cut off the lower branches for late clones. She's the only one that stayed short and fairly tight while the others have taken off. This was taken 3-4 days back. I'm hoping for an EP dom cut to run a few times.

Slip, last winter I had a similar issue with my portable AC, kept freezing up on me and I tried to fixed it with no avail. It was at that point I invested in a mini split, now temps are the last thing I worry about in the garden. Beautiful plants by the way, have fun with that Tahoe she stretches like a bitch and IME doesn't like to be blasted too close to the lights.

That setup sounds like a golden triangle incubator, hatching prehistoric jungle weed
I want pics :)

Great news on the second male.
When you say "turned", I guess you mean finally flipped?
Dad was a reluctant groom until you turned the lights down a bit.

Cool about the Sour BX buds.

The ac seems to only freeze up when it's cold outside so in the early morning when I need it I took off the filter and I think the radiant heat from the bare 1000 kept it unfrozen. The dust built up quickly though so I placed the filter back over lightly and didn't lock it in.
It's too warm to run the 1000 today but it's been great on the cold, dry days with no ac. The Tahoe is 4ft from the 1000 and 2ft from a 400 I have vertically hung on the roof. My 1st SFV is coming nicely, I think I kept the lamp too far away but the bulb could have been shot too.
It's been warm and wet a bit and I'd lit the place up because I could, then it's 60 again before I blink. The little problems in my garden are what keep me going, hell if my ac wasn't screwing up or my Lucy being burned I'd be bored to death today!!:) I was worried my plants had gone too dry, now this rain is putting moisture back in the stems.
