6 dollars a gram from the new one...plus taxes I would imagine..12 strains to choose from if the website is wrong.

These companies do realize they won't see any sales most likely till March 31st from 99.99% of the population.

IE you register....your other licences get revoked......so why would anyone register early.

Lose your old script (down to 150g max per month)...

Sounds like a win-win for me :p

Respect to their efforts, but they'll never see a dollar from me.

What I find really amazing is how if you grow this plant with out a license you get some insane mandatory sentences while approved companies can grow it for profit. Talk about government approved/protected profits.

IMO...There's going to be a lot of rewriting of laws when it comes to mandatory sentences over a legal plant. Because soon as these LCP get up and running, it will no longer be a legal or illegal thing...It'll be just a licensing issue. It's usually a fine when caught doing something without proper license...not JAIL time(this will be addressed with first case and if it isn't...u need a better Lawyer).

This new MMPR is going to open Pandora's box...The Harper government have no idea what's coming.

Good on you...Mr. Fuckin Harper.

CLP is the new DPPL(DG) only on hard mode.

Its bullshit the PUPL are not included but should be first on the list of issues that will hopefully be positively resolved in court.

I have known him my whole life is all...
Never seen his name on a forum of this kind, he is a very quiet guy so I was really just curious if it was an industry thing or what? No offence intended and totally understood your response.

Yeah I dunno what's up with this company.
I'm pretty sure they were booted from that arena, but dunno, did they just find another municipality?
If so why wasn't it news like it always is since it should have been braught to the public to aprove.
thaught for a minute it might've been trudeau's buddies company but it's a different 1.
Dunno how great an idea it is bringing a grow into a town with out bringing it to the ppl.

Nothing on Tweed inc yet either eh, supposed to take over the hershey factory in smiths falls.

Meh, fuck em, something somewhere will happen soon enough, n than they'll have to clean this train wreck up.

cheers all,........................................................gps

That's the first article listed when searching for them since their site is bare, I guess all the money went to the lawyers.

Sounds like a righteous argument to me.
Though, I don't know if it wouldn't just be a straight walk out without even as much as the fine, if they actually have the right to fine someone.
Unless those stipulations have already been written not only into the regs, but I think they need to write out specific legislation for said types of regulatory breaches to be an actual fine no?

Frankly I am getting tired of dealing with the whole Designated Grower thing. It would be one thing if there were lots of great growers out there but there are NOT and if they are around they are not selling their wears here. Stay frosty headband 707

^^^ thats funny you see cause you have folks that love to grow and they will be still doing so. I can say that my patient of 3 years is fine and would continue with me if that's the way it goes. But you have to look at this realistically. You have a whole wack of folks jumping on to this thing trying to make a wack of cash and then they realize they can lose a whole crop just like that and still have a pile of bills at the end, not so easy eh!....Grower unite! Not sure why you would think that. Plenty of licenses out there right now but if you get caught growing without one it's off to jail you go, not just a fine or "licensing issue".

Above is the original post, to make things less confusing. Nothing worse then reading a comment on a previous post and not knowing what was the original content or subject.

I will attempt to clarify my thinking...GPS

No, of course, it wouldn't be a straight walk out...This matter would without doubt, go all the way up to the supreme court, a lower court wouldn't have the power to change the law.

This would be the course or argument of the lawyer for the first case of a patient caught growing their own medicine, after LCP's are the only source of medical MJ in Canada. It would have to be proven in court, that growing Marijuana plants, is not illegal, for persons with medical needs. That a person with medical need, and a doctors consent, can purchase Medical MJ, without legal repercussions, penalties or charges, from a government appointed and approved organization. There for, the situation has been proven, not to be, of a criminal nature, more of a civil issue. But, since a license is needed to grow Marijuana for Medical needs and Medical MJ has been proven not illegal for those with a medical need, then the only punishments available to a judge, would be to fine or to release with all criminal charges dropped.

I personally, can not see any judge releasing the patient without attaching a fine or fines, to act as a discouragement to the others that will or may follow.

I intend to continue growing my Medicine...AND...This will be my lawyers instructed argument if arrested.

Peace...B

This scenario would apply only to persons with a medical need. This would not help anyone growing for profit or for recreational use.

PS. See you all in court...:tiphat:

Yeah I dunno, you are right in mentioning this realy only does apply to ppl who can actually prove they are sick otherwise they're fucked.lol

My view is there are no laws on the subject expecially once you're considered exempt from the cdsa anyhow.
But I've never seen any legislation anywhere ever stating that anyone not following these regulations deserves any sort of consequences or sentencing outlines.
There just isn't any laws on the books for it so technically it's not illegal unless the cdsa applies to you like maybe a company, or not actually being able to prove your sick, so they have to follow the rules or deal with the consequences set out for not doing so but a patient exempt from the cdsa there just isn't any law on the books about it.
It's the price they pay for never removing it like they were ordered to.
Tell a crown this n I bet charges wouldn't even be laid or they're leaving themselves openly vulnerable to an attack on not just the new and old systems but the cdsa itself.
Tell a crown you will make a point of telling your lawyer to make sure the jury at trial is fully aware of thier rights to jury nullification n see if they bother going through that(knowing full well you're exempt from the cdsa already).

Dunno but if the arguments are never made they never get approved or disapproved, which is why all the plea bargining out of cases with just joinging onto the mmar hasn't done anything but givven some legitimacy to the mmar which they only set up as an excuse to not follow through with the cdsa changes they were ordered.

Cuttin off thier own noses to spite thier faces, when ALL should be ready and prepared to fight when the time comes if it comes.
How many ppl are kicking themselves now for joining such a crap program n selling out that info they've now got, just so instead of tellin the puppet of a legal aid lawyer (any low income person has a right to once charged with an offense, they're just not available to open cases against) to do what your hand tells him to do, n fight for thier rights.
Nobody can blame anyone else for all the noses on the floor.

The post was not a slight to DG I have nothing but respect for anyone who tries to grow and does a great job. My real problem is my own immune system to the "B" grade varieties that seem to be grown just about everywhere now lol. I can go to Jamaica and get the exact same weed for $50.00 to $100.00 per lb. I have no interest in buying oz's for $100.00 if I just don't get high on it. I can and do make eatibles but that only goes so far. I really do miss the "A" grade cannabis which is hardly ever around anymore. Stay frosty headband 707:biggrin:

Perhaps price is the issue for you. If you are not willing to buy B's cuz ya think they are worth a 100/lb. ,then maybe the problem is you don't want to pay the 25oo's the A's go for lol. Peace GS
