thats a REALLY SMALL grow... how the fuck they come up with them numbers????

A classic case why it's best to stay a small mom/pop operation instead of trying to become a fortune 500 company.
I'll guarantee a min of a dozen outta the 16 will cop to plea's and drop dimes on others. Wouldn't want to be a part of that circle.

I couldn't have said it better! Having just one partner is stress enough. You'd be surprised just how skilled the pigs can be at persuading/intimidating your best friend into selling you down the river! FUCK PARTNERSHIPS!

i call shenanigans... they get pulled over...( by feds), smell like weed, roll over on an "empire" that has 6000 plants in multiple spots. I mean come on. One joint leads to one of the "biggest busts in NY history". This seems like a crock of shit. They weigh the houses too?

In reading this story and the continued bullshit that is obviously spouted by these agencies after a 'huge bust' like this, it makes me wonder if they KNOW that their days are in fact numbered. Seriously - ANYBODY who has even a half an education would know from the word jump, that those buds that were portrayed in those bust pics were weaksauce and nowhere near the caliber that they are playing them out to be.

I havent even popped my growing cherry and I know better than that.

it's pretty plain that they told the media what they wanted to, nothing new here
just a bigger scale, though the expertise seemed to be on the light side, these growing mafias can't get better help than this? sad i'd say
what tipped them off, they won't say, and aren't going to say

These type of syndicate groups are exactly what keeps more of our representatives from sponsoring Cannabis laws. The Asian syndicates bought thousands oh homes in Florida for grow houses. The law picked up on it. The media sensationalized it and the hysterics started. At the cost now of harsher cultivation laws and increased surveillance. I have no sympathy for these people. They make med users and hard working family type smokers suffer because of their greed. They can rot in prison. But I am sure most will serve light jail term and be deported.

These types those types the hippie types the Asian types the Mexican types the hillbilly types the redneck types the gangster types.

You don't have many posts, but most that I see seem like you aren't too far out of DARE class and Nancy Regan videos.

FUCK their current or future laws we are fighting a revolution based on INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS. If there are no INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS there are no HUMAN RIGHTS.

Every time the PIG says NO ask yourself WHO THE FUCK IS IT HURTING? If the answer is THERE IS NO COMPLAINING WITNESS then fucking case closed leave it alone. Judge not.

haha yea you gotta love how they make it seem they are actually doing some good.

They did do something good. Now more of NY's pot will be produced by somewhat law abiding, tax-paying individuals rather than by people who don't belong in our country. Its best to have the money 100% American so that it can be used to stimulate the economy. Luckily the medical seed seems to have been planted on the east coast.

wait.............wait.........

what??????

did I read that right????

1) NO, they didn't do something good. They busted someone for growing plants. PLANTS.

2)

really? Do you believe your own line of bullshit?

You can't LEGALLY grow herb anywhere in the US unless you're that one scientist who grows on the gov farm that pumps out chopped up crap herb for Federal med patients.
Even in Cali and the other med states, still technically can be busted for growing.

NY doesn't have any laws that I'm aware of allowing growing by anyone, so in no way can you have a grow in NY and be a law abiding citizen.

Its not like any growers in NY or other non-med states declare income from growing, so its not helping the community tax wise.

Why don't these people belong in our country?

Are people who are 1st generation suddenly not supposed to emigrate to the US. Same attitude people had against Chinese in cali or Irish people in NY back when those populations were emigrating en masse.

Hope these people ALL get off on legal technicalities. The article paints an obvious picture of a ratted out grow that just needed one insider to roll.

ITS JUST A PLANT

How did they get caught?

The story about how they pulled someone over and he ratted on the WHOLE operation seems a little too much. Doesn't make sense.

Either someone made a plea MUCH earlier and was working with them or something else tipped them off....

What was it?

FirstTracks: I think he is conveying the point that the income gained from the grows that were busted was intended to go back over the border. Thus never being spent inside the U.S.. Even illicit income helps stimulate the economy....dirty money buys groceries just as well as taxed. I could be wrong, but thats how I interpreted what was said by cannascholar. Peace DLB

DLB: I agree on the point of income being sent back over the border.

I just don't think its a good enough reason to wish someone in jail over a plant. That's all.

by the way...I think everyone here has a pretty good idea that it wasn't $20 million worth.....Maybe 100k-200k tops.

Sure, I'd love to see locals get more of the cannabis revenue.....but doesn't mean people should be going to jail over sending money back to their families so their kids can eat another day.

correction: they did something that resulted in a benefit for YOU.

There is no such thing as a law-abiding citizen that produces pot directly for New York. It's illegal to distribute and use marijuana in New York, so whoever decided to distribute it in New York is in direct violation of NYS law as well as federal law.

You are an ignorant person who thinks people that are similar to yourself should prosper more than those that are different. The differences between American and non-American are arbitrary and have little relevance to the topic.

The use of the money has little relevance either. People use their money in all different sorts of ways. Some people just keep it at home. That would be far worse for the US economy since there is absolutely no chance of it being spent on American goods. Note that American goods are NOT only offered in the United States.

This ignorant perspective is what allowed American car companies to nearly fail. Some people fostered this belief that American citizens should purchase American cars and it is wrong to do otherwise. This allowed American car companies to think that they could produce a sub par product and still be successful. This mentality is not okay and goes against the natural laws of economics. American car companies almost failed as a result.

It's their money that they earned, and they can do whatever they want with it. The economy will improve regardless of this petty issue.
