I could only imagine 707's expression opening his first CanniMed $360 30g container only to find its already ground up for him! Not to mention sketch irradiated, which has been proven to degrade terpenoids.

Cost of Commercial Production Licenses from MMPR

Cost of Commercial Production Licenses from MMPR

I was surfing the net and I read that some applicants for a MMPR license are extremely worried they won't be able to afford the cost from MMPR for licenses.

Is this true?...That you have to buy a Commercial Production License(CPL) from the government?

If so, does anyone know what they are charging for the CPL?

It never entered my mind that the government would charge for the new MMPR licensing, because they never charged for any MMAR license. But that does make sense, since the government charges for all licenses issued from "Fishing to Business" and these CP are a business without a doubt.

If anyone has info on this subject, I would like to hear from you.
This could decide who gets licensed and who doesn't.

Peace...B

You don't buy a commercial production license from the government. The CPL is for large scale commercial producers, not personal grows. Under the MMPR you have to buy your meds from a CPL. People are worried about the cost for the meds under the new system, not the cost of the license. As far as I know applying for a CPL is free. Getting approved is unlikely unless you have a lot of money to invest. As far as getting a script goes in theory it should be easier as you wont need a specialist, or a condition that falls into the b1 forms.

LOL yeah I know who this is lol. I heard they were told to keep the cannabis at 8% or some bullshit #... I also heard that they will not be restricted to what they have? Not sure if this is at all true but it will be worth trying and seeing. I don't think there is ONE GREAT grower with great product here in BC and if there is,, I'm not finding it and I go many places to find my cannabis. The second guys on the list I contacted and they say they are not ready yet. I will obviously try these guys cannabis and if it's not what works for me then I will move on lol stay frosty headband 707:biggrin:

Well seems some of the others might have more reasonable pricing compared to street prices.
Not reasonable enough for me to bother with personally, but it's better than nothing for those who accept it.
Far as pps goes how many grams worth have all of us already paid them for in our tax dollars.
I'd say they OWE patients free meds for at least a year with as much as they've already been paid by us all.
I'd gladly let any sick person out there have my share added to thier own.

Welp, hope 1 of 'em has something that suits ya 707.

cheers,...................................................gps

Check out Mettrum's fine print in their application form:

The applicant acknowledges that medical marijuana is not approved for the use as a drug in Canada, that its indications, safety and risks
have not been adequately studied and the appropriate dosage is unclear. The applicant acknowledges and agrees that he or she is using
any medical marijuana product obtained from Mettrum Ltd. at his or her own risk, and releases Mettrum Ltd. (and its production partners,
including Prairie Plant Systems Inc.)
from any and all actions, claims, complaints and demands for damages, loss or injury whatsoever arising
directly or indirectly as a consequence of the use of medical marijuana obtained from Mettrum Ltd.e of the use of medical marijuana obtained from Mettrum Ltd.

Looks like their reselling PPS garbage...

makes sense why there was no word on them finding a production site if they're just reselling pps's garbage.
Though I don't remember any section of the mmpr saying you could get a license to just buy n resell what's still considered contraband from an actual producer.

lol gonna be fun watching all these chumps fail gloriously soon as a court tells the gov they still have no right to tell any patient they can't grow.
Very entertaining days ahead.lol

Hm that's interesting that means there's gonna be some legal action from employees vs employer or vs gov soon. If its not a registered drug people will be liable for anything that they cause if they had a prescription and were high at the time. This also opens up employers to a lot of liability I would think.

Hmmm there are several people I talked to over the last year who talked about master licenses and sub license or umbrella companies.

If Mettrum doesn't grow that means the gov allows resellers as long as they go through the process like everyone else.

reselling is fine. as is importing/exporting. its all legal under the new regs. all LP's are allowed to sell to one another.. to be a LP you dont actually need to grow.

my understanding anyway.

What's really fucked is how their websites look like pharma drug commercials. Just wait till the day you see Plextera, Zoltrof, Cannibrex names for strains being sold.

I guess I didn't make myself clear in my post...

I am not asking if I need to buy a license to grow meds from a commercial producer and the cost of that license.
I was asking, from those that have applied for a license for Commercial Production from the MMPR...Are they being charged? and if they are...What is the cost?

I totally understand how the new MMPR works.

The MMPR in a nut shell:
Health Canada, takes away my right to grow(of 8 years), in return, I get the right to buy "Substandard Swag" for "Outrageous and Unreasonable Prices" and as a bonus, I get to lower my prescription buy 50%...:woohoo:. This will all happen as soon as I register with a LCP using my original License to possess and produce, as my Doctors request. But(the threat!...:fright:)...I only have one year to do this after the MMAR's end date or I will need to get a completely new request from my Doc to give to the LCP or I won't be allowed to buy the "Substandard Swag" for "Outrageous and Unreasonable Prices" with the added bonus, of a 50% less Medicine(FUNNY...I really don't remember changing to Dr. H. Canada, allowing my prescription to be changed). I will take 99.9% of the year that has generously been gifted to all patients who were in the MMAR when it expired.

I do this because...

I am patently waiting that year, because the MMPR will be found unconstitutional, and at which time I will grow legally once again...:plant grow:.

REMEMBER...
As soon as you sign on with any LCP, your license and agreement with the MMAR is completely undone and will be absolutely "Nil & Void".

Peace...B

PS. I did this tongue in cheek, because I can't believe the stupidity of it all...:biglaugh:...Fuck Me!
