The difference in heat isn't a whole lot going from my 400 to 600 in my tents. Going from my 600 to 1000 in tents is like Holyfugginshit!

I threw up a 1000 in my 4x8 a year ago with a stand alone ac unit but i found out how shitty the wiring was at my new place. Breaker wouldnt handle it an i couldnt run a dedicated sub panel like i usually do for 240v s8nce the breaker box was only a 100amp. Screwed on that situation.........to much wattage for a personal grow too.

So if my ambient is 75 and im using a 8" xxxl raptor enclosed hood or my 8" hydrofarm radiant enclosed hood,while ducting the heat out through a hole in the closet ceiling into the attic, what do u think my temps would be at using a 600?

Id say you could prob keep it under 70 depending incoming air temp. In that space you could probably ditch the air cooled hoods all together and use a good adjustable reflector. Or at least loose the glass and save a few lumens.

I have 2 400 w, 1vert 1 not in a space of 4ft x 6ft .when I took off the hood for the 1 vert my room got cooler who would of thought

I was going from 250 to 400 W, is a big difference in special in small cap (60x60cm).
With 250W temperature inside cap was about 4-5 °C higher, with 400W it is about 8-9 °C higher inside than outside. Both with cooltube.

pics from 3 days ago; night before 12/12. bigger plants have 6-7 week veg the 3 little guys are almost 4 weeks old minor stunt because of heavy nutes (bigger guys food) and minor light bleaching. big gal in smart pot is hso blue dream then in grate i have 3 larry og bagseed 1 grandoggy purp bagseed and 2 underdawg bagseed. in the weaver is also another underdawg bagseed.

Little gear update. Got lucky and scored a second hand mini aircooled reflector and a new 400w MH bulb. Will try and post some pics up but my phone is the only camera and it's not the best, but at least it's something.

The plan is to do a scrog. My seeds didn't fare as well as I would have hoped, so I got a clone of skunk #1, and a cut of og wonder. I'll scrog em both and try for some scrog magic. I do have a soft spot for severe lst.

Well as Murphy's law would have it, my lumatek ballast stopped working. I got a few 55w cfls in there right now to hold them off till I can find another ballast. I'm thinking of going back to a magnetic switchable, but I like the dimmable option of the digital. I know I can run the 400w hps in there just fine with my air cooled hood, and next year I want to upgrade to a dr90, so maybe a 600w dimmable will be just what I should be lookin for.

Enough of my pipe dreams, the og wonder and skunk 1 are getting some lst treatment right now, but just as they reached the res my ballast died so growth is a little slow. I'm in no rush as I'm also managing another garden right now, and it's taking a lot of time prepping for flower.

Even with the 400sl setting running in the little dr60, my intake temps are at 66, ambient temps at 65 and tent temps are at a steady 73. I'm thinking this May be a little too cold. What are your thoughts on temp, and is 73 too cold? I know it's not terribly cold but I would like them at 76-80.

Running a metal halide for the first time and I notice that the internodes are a little tighter then when I was running my hps.

This is how I have my ducting into a phresh filter to a 180cfm inline fan that is actually pretty quiet for how well it keeps my tent cool.



Simple duct work makes for efficient ductwork.

And now the whole reason this tent was erected(always wanted to say that)




She is an og wonder I got as a clone from my buddy. he has also given me a few cuts of some chocolope, and a really nice skunk. I haven't taken any pics of the new cuts but once they get rooted then I'll slap em in one gallon jugs and veg them a little before flowering.

The specs are as follows:

DR60 tent (23.5inx23.5x55 tall)
Method: hempy buckets and soil
Strains: og wonder, skunk2, chocolope
Nutrients: maxi bloom with a little liquid cool bloom, and a pinch of super thrive
Lighting: 400w lumatek dimmable, 400w sylvania mh and hps lamps
Exhaust: phresh filter to generic 180cfm fan with 4 inch ducting
Location: 2nd story in my bedroom closet

if u want e24 i dont know if u have a fan controller but i do know for a fact that if u did and turned it down to 120cfm ur temps would be 10 above ambient so things would be 7-8 degrees warmer. mine are at 75-79 ligths on lights of it must be high 60's ill peep it in a lil bit.
