the next 1000 miles should go by much quicker...the weather is much better for cycling now...i can go pop off a 2 hour ride without needing to drink 2 gallons of water to rehydrate afterwards....plus im just waaaaay fitter than when i got this bike...even with a wind out today for most of the ride i felt super comfortable and was really barely breathing all that hard holding onto a 15 mph pace, thats not that fast by any means but i can do that for several hours straight now...feeling ready to tackle 60-80 miles in a day....another 6 weeks and i should be pushing 100 mile days...

No never leave windows open to your grow. I use a 8" inline to bring in fresh air that's all I need plus the fans.. I cant get away with this in summer AC is a must then.. All of my intakes/exhaust are under the house.. Nothing is visible from the outside.

Great job on the 1k miles Unc:)

can I use Golden Grain or ever clear 190proof/95% to doo the same.? Absolutely
whats grape spirits ?

I have used EVerclear 151 proof (Its the strongest they sell in my state), but not for quick wash. Its not strong enough for that imo. If you can get Everclear 190 proof I would recommend that. Im not familiar with Gloden Grain, but I like at least 90%(180 proof) Alcohol content and above for quick wash.

The Grape Spirits is available from organicalcohol.com. Its the tits. The pro's use it. If you wanna start making oil, or purging extracts, this is what you want. But if you just wanna make a little oil, you prolly just wanna go with the Everclear 190. This organic Grape alcohol is pretty pricey. I think its $140 per gallon. $500 for 5gals.

I prefer grain alcohol. You can use ISO though. We do when we don't have everclear

I second that. I prefer Everclear 190 proof to ISO as well. I just cant get it. But i'd still prefer the Grape Spirits over the Everclear.

An example of grape spirits is Italian grappa

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grappa

BeL

That stuff is different from the GRape Spirits i meant. But that stuff would work for making oil i suppose. You'd have to soak the bud/trim for a while though. Then take it from tincture to oil by slow reduction. Im not sure how it'd turn out. Slightly Brandy flavored id suppose.

ConGrats on the Kilo-mile UNC!:respect:
And if I knew where the patio was, id be there!

You must live in one of those "normal" states. In my state, only the government is allowed to sell Wine or liquor. And beer can only be sold through beer distributors. No grocery stores/gas stations. This commonwealth thing is some real bullshit. I need out i tell ya.

Ahhhh i love it when i speak to soon. temps are around 84 right now....little warm for my liking

I run my lights from 7pm-7am..With the lights off the temp is 72f. Both 8" intake/exhaust are running. My room is cooler then it is outside @85f. With lights on the temp is 82f running 2k Gavita and 1k vertical. All fans are running when lights are on the big high velocity wall mount is not running at light off.

You could try to increase your turnover rate? see if that helps .

Im glad you posted this. I was gonna buy a 2' x 4' piece of plywood to make my window thingy(my window is exactly 4 ft wide). But your idea is much better. Having the window completely open, so it looks closed. Genuis. :tiphat:

well yes,of course, its a compromise between lamp coverage and heat management, but its a well understood technique often used in larger gardens.since the plants are still getting side lighting on the unlit side they are still doing their thing but the loss of efficiency isnt as bad as you think...
just yanking your chain unc:moon:

Obviously I'm not as serious as you guys,. I just use metal vortex type fans to draw cooling air through the lights, and leave the second story window open a crack. I put a four inch vortex as a redundant cooling on a thermostat. The six is on a speed control for cold weather, and if its real cold, I just POP the light glass out.

If I was half as serious as you guys, I wouldn't have forgotten to harvest the manglax plant three days ago. It's over a pound, and I fjust forgot. LOL

I remove all green material first with the tumbler. Pure kief processes very clean, very fast. The hi proof flavorless everclear melts it into solution quickly. Then its through a coffee filter.
