Hershel was showing Rick how to clone..who would have thought.

All so wasn't Hershel a veterinarian. So why did the pig die.

The swine flue?

Any one joining a group should all ways be quarantined for the minimum of 7 days.

Zombie squirrels on the way! Just consider the havoc those fuckers will deliver.

If you look at how the influenza virus works, it always signifies an escalation of danger when a virus jumps the species barrier. Also, when the mode of infection goes from requiring actual physical contact to one where the virus gets aerosolized through the act of sneezing.

Shits going to hit the fan this season.

I was a little disappointed in the new episode. Alas

At the start, maybe. But, I think it was just to set up the rest of the season. I think it's about 6-7 months later (from the end of last season) and things are going well for the group. Look for an escalation of blood and gore! Hang onto your emotional hats! We're about to go over the cliff!

I thought the zombie storm was pretty funny though!

I thought the Creepy Clara segment was pretty good. It also gave a reference point for the pig. I wonder if Rick will regret his decision to respect her wishes, but...maybe not.

Carol and diabolical in the same sentence?

1. How many walkers have you killed?

2. How many people have you killed?

3. Why?

Question.. that kid in the shower , he had a bad fever right ? Went to the shower to cool off, but passed out, cracked his head and died. So now he's going to become a zombie.

Or did he catch a zombie sickness ,and him pasing out/falling was him becoming a zombie ?

Also, that pig is definitely foreshadowing something...do you think its related to that kid ^^ ?

I think the way they focused on his becoming ill, and not having any other characters be part of that focus, suggests that him being sick is more than just a regular fever/illness. I think they are going to put a huge giant twist into the story line. Tune in next week, eh?

There was a scene at the end of the first season where the CDC guy told Rick that everybody carried the virus, but was "dormant" until death. I know, it contradicts the idea of having to be bitten or scratched before somebody turns, but that's on the writers.

it's has to do w/ the DEER they ate.... something about infecting the animals....
rather it's in the air, water, soil, or eco system... the disease has morphed into other forums of transmission....

me thinks.....

and YES, it's going to get wild.....

It's a shame they don't do many/any flashbacks!

I bet the military battle for Atlanta was a dozy :whee:

Everyone is already infected. It doesn't matter if the disease/virus goes airborne or sexually transmitted, they all have it. The pig and kid dying was showing that other sicknesses can cause a whole bunch of problems in a confined area such as a prison. I can't wait to see what main character gets bitten by that kid.

I love the show, hope it doesn't get "silly" though.

What happened to the Governer, is that group still out there plotting against our heroes?

At AMC's site there are some webisodes (5-10 mins ea.) involving other people not on the show. Last year's was not particularly bloody or gorey, but it is particularly brutal! Human calculation should never be underestimated!

Anybody who lives on the west coast...the TV show Mythbusters has a special on zombies right now...on Discovery channel. They just had that actor who played Merle on for one of the segments, he was there as a "zombie killing specialist"

lol...To be honest, the whole idea behind a "zombie apocalypse," is pretty silly in its own right, anyway. But, it's fun as hell!

The Gov should show up sooner or later. Michonne's been looking for him...and she'll find him!
:dueling:

I'm guessing that there'll be some back and forth on that. At least, a good portion of the season devoted to it.

After Merle's solo suicide mission on the Gov, he split with the few soldiers still alive and left Woodbury to fend for itself.

I know that the show requires a leap of faith, but I'm just hoping this new turn of events with sick animals isn't jumping the shark! Patric, we hardly knew ye!
