miracle gro..low funds had to go there

I would hang myself at the garden center entrance at Wally World if I felt it was my only choice to grow........just saying.

There are much cheaper ways to grow good bud. Hell, I would have went into the back yard dug out a couple cubic feet of local soil added some perlite and a bag of Bio-starter plus and tore that Miracle whip shit up.

Guess it is all what you know.

Read, read, read.........

That Moisture Control stuff holds too much water...and is pretty hot too. I used it back in '99...I'll never buy another MG product I don't think!

Learn from your mistakes, man. We all make 'em. Read the stickies. ROLS is super simple to get started, stupid cheap in the long run and will grow the best plants you'll ever see. It's all laid out, right up there. Best of luck.

My bros old school recipe is Miracle grow moisture control with 60% percent hydroton. Gh 3 part and some for of tricantinol [Liquid Light, Canna Boost, Or amended Alfalfa]

Awesome combo. Ive replaced the 3 part with miracle grow flower formula, I noticed that stuff plumets ph though.

I thought id also add the obvious, Mircacle Moisture Control is hardly organic. The Amoniacal Nitrogen works wonders in veg, Although i do believe the slow release will deliver a tad to much of this in bloom, I make adjustments by using less of the flora gro.

That's right, I had problems with excess N in bloom when I used it. The smoke didn't taste so good because of all the chloropyll, but the buds themselves smelled incredible!

I have a feeling why you are getting some shit over this, if after all the amazing information here is laid out for you and you still turn to the devil (MG) don't expect to get a warm and fuzzy welcome.

Also I looked back and before he sighed he laid out how to do organics with out turning to the enemy. So have a few respected true organic growers.

One general theme from all of the educated posters here READ READ READ,

Knowledge is power, ignorance is bliss and with knowledge comes responsibility.

Choosing MG anything is NOT responsible...

Me personally I strive for mimicking mother nature, and she is perfect....

Like Von said, Dig a hole amend with available amendments (Compost, wormcastings, gypsum, Bio-tone or what ever you need) and plant.

Use nature don't let a chem company use you!!!!

He started this by mentioning he did a stupid thing. Let's just talk about how he should deal with it! Not QQ over what he should of done.

I recently acquired a bunch of plants from somebody who was kicked out of their house. The plants were probably 30+ days in flower when I got them. A bunch of them were in the evil Miracle Grow soil with 6 months of nitrogen or whatever that stuff is. I think it's the moisture control. I have my own plants that I give nutrients, so I made a bigger batch and shared with the new plants. Since I didn't know some plants were in the miracle grow I burned the crap out of a few. One plant popped out a few male parts fairly shortly after I gave nutrients. After that, I called guy to ask about why some plants were light green and some were dark green and decently burnt. I've been giving them straight water since then.

Since there is so much nitrogen it's hard to deal with. If you give it nutrients it will burn. If you don't give any it will go deficient. The plants I acquired are going through deficiencies but luckily they are almost done. The nitrogen will cause the plants to produce way more stems and leaves. So there ends up being fluffy larfy buds. Also the plants are lacking in smells. I have plants of the same strain that are in some other mystery soil that are delicious. These buds are properly formed and will obviously be good smoke. The miracle grow buds are lacking in good smells, and have a strong diesel/burnt rubber type of smell which is only minor in the non-miracle grow plants.

Just be really careful about adding any more nitrogen. The plants will go stupid if you do. But you will need to add other stuff. I'm not sure what the best way to do all that would be.

Big steve, I would suggest using only a nutrient with very little nitrogen. I have had success with Earth Juice's Grand Finale. It is an organic finishing base nutrient with zero nitrogen. Also, Transplanting this late does have its downsides but you could throw them in bigger pots with a bunch of perlite and a neutral media like sunshine #4

If you are gonna buy some shit at Wally World or some flower shit, try the Peter's stuff but you need to look up the threads on here about it before you try it. Some have had some success with it but it is still not for this ... and it takes some time and efforts to grow this stuff and not many really get there with it...all that shit of it's a weed it will grow itself is bs... as many many have found out the hard way...expect a 5 years learning curve and it is not free or cheap to do it either...go mow some lawns, read a bunch, watch some videos, and then start by using about 1/4 or less of what's listed on the bottles and you need to learn to do an accurate PH and measure PPMs to get it right (er anyways)...many people have their specific brands of shit and to them nothing else will do. Gettin mad just sets you back...

The plants were in bad shape compared to how I grow them. Since they won't be alive much longer I'm not messing with them any more. They will get chopped here in a few days good riddance. He brought over probably 24 plants. 4 or 5 are garbage, so larfy that they are unusable. About 9 are Miracle grow. The rest are something bland. I doubt all the plants combined will be more than 12 ounces. A ton of work for nothing in my opinion. I have 2 plants of my own. I'm expecting almost a pound from one of them. And maybe 7 ounces from the other. My plants are only on day 21 so it's hard to predict. It's WAY easier to take care of a couple big plants than a million little ones that flop over easy and barely produce.

At least I got a little something something to keep me going until my harvest.

I don't usually do much transplanting while in flowering. From what I've noticed, the plant doesn't seem to grow roots after the first few weeks of flower. If you transplant now you might end up with a plant that's sitting in the fox farms soil. Not growing in to it.

I'm not sure what you mean by the fan leaves are turning lighter and lighter. You will have to put up a pic or explain differently. I don't want to give bad advice.
