Y'all need to step up to a manly saw.

Awright, I confess, I threw a plant out, an extra Candy Chem x A11 I was sprouting for my OD pals.
She's got scant attention, but I did bring her some worm tea a few wks ago, and when I went back yesterday, flowering had commenced. :D

Otto, Lloyd, killin' it per usual, ya wily veterans! :good:

otto ,llyod looking good man as always ..llyod whats the story with the trainwreck x rom ?

growing up on fishing boats I had to learn to be good with my hands , doing what we do we cant always have a handyman come in and do things , s so I handle all the carpentry , electric , etc . just installed a 36btu minisplit in my new big veg room , first time using a flaring tool and vac pump , took my time and every thing worked out perfect , shit is like a snow machine in that room ... speaking of boats I see a 36ft Contender CC in my future and Ill do 3 day trips in the canyons with that fucker !

One of my neighbors has that same boat, it's called "Way Out". I've seen him out at wildcat knoll doing about 30 kts in a heavy sea.I was just wondering what the hell I was doing there and was I going to make it back...I can use a circular saw but I have this voice in my head that says I'm going to lose a finger.I can't hire anybody to do anything here because of the weed so, despite my inhibitions with the saw I'm on my own for most everything, the only thing I can't do is pump my own septic.:)

Baph, your like me. You like your women like you like your boats and mini splits....HUGE .

HL, you think that girl will be able to finish up outside in time?

Slip, I am with you everything gets done DIY style cause of the garden. In the end though I've learned just as much about growing as I have the trades and I find some of the info priceless. I seriously think I want to get my HVAC License and hook up mini-splits for a living. Ain't that hard and you can charge people an arm and a leg. Also cutting off my fingers aint a worry for me, electrocuting myself is another thing. I can't count the number of times I've done unlicensed electrical work on a live 200 amp panel.

Tyga, good luck with all the new genetics seems like you got plenty of dank on your hands.

Llyod, Nice pics bro. sounds like some pretty killer returns on that Rom x TW. Every chance Ive been able to score some romluan or a rom cross its always been extremely frosty buds. Seems no different for you.

hey guys.. I was just wondering.. whats the Easiest way to go Hydro.. cheap and something that if a power outage occurs there has to be a backup plan. or maybe Grodan Cubes.. or just COCO

Wow Lloyd that shatter looks tasty man .... vac oven is worth its weigh in golden errl!

Most trade jobs can be done DIY style if ya got common sense and are willing to learn..... but I guess its an acquired skill to break down and pick up new trades and skills. Otto you'll make a killing doing HVAC so many homes have it and yet very few have the skills to fix em. Were looking at a place down my way and it has HVAC which would be amazing during the summer.

Tyga ..... sounds like you got some killer genetics .... have run w those pk crosses .... sure to be fire in those...... knock out strong smoke too!

Heyo baph, some friends up north run the trainwreck x romulan. Was told they got the cut at a music festival, big yielding and very frosty. Kinda hazy/trainwreck-y smelling. The buzz taste and smell were alright but as far as being run into oil she jogs very well :) It's a daytime smoke, killer work but she's no diesel/og/etc

K.O., coco is more forgiving than hydro, and hand-watering coco in pots pretty cheap.

HL, you think that girl will be able to finish up outside in time?

Banking on it, I popped a bunch and gave the gals out to friends for OD. The Apollo has always finished for me OD, and I gave out a cut of CC 2 yrs. ago that finished.

I also have a small one indoors for some variety. :D

HL steering you right there KO.
Passive hydro with coco medium, maybe a bit of perlite added for drainage.
Start off simple with hand watering if you like, or easily upgrade with pump driven drip system, drain to waste (no recirculating res.)

Lol Otto, I coulda typed that paragraph if I didn't know any better .... Me and my buddy are doing that same thing, he's in the middle of his classes right now... All stemmed from hooking up the split and seeing how damn easy it was; really it was after we "fixed" our improper install & did a full evacuation of the r410a, vac'd the lines & recharged it. Couldn't have been easier, felt like a scam ;-)

And hell ya man, when I'm talking about growing with some homies that's always in my song, "I've learned so goddamn much in this biz cus it's all up to me, something goes wrong and I just gotta get it done, not like I can pickup the phone book and make a call."

Lloyd -- what is the shelf life on Met52, or whoever uses it.. @ 20 & 35gal pots I'm gunna be using it up pretty quick, if a do a full 6g every time. I figured I'll cut application rates in half for re-used coco.. Or do u think the heavy flush between cycles will wash everything out? In that case it's 6g/gal every time.

Honestly man I think getting rid of root aphids is a lot less expensive than met52. Ask any of the local guys who know me, a house I used to have years ago was ruined by those bugs. They literally drove me out. Root aphids make spider mites look like fungus knats. I'd use double whatever they tell you to.

Shelf life must be 6mo-year if I had to guess.

ya in the thread on Met52 the dude was (inreplyav i think..) saying app rates are 3-6g/gal, so he does 6g/gal & i figured i'd start @ the same. if you think i need to go higher than that i def will. ill check the website for storage info, maybe it keeps longer under certain conditions.

ya these bugs are a bummer, thought i had them in my rear-view mirror forsure.. i guess not. but im gunna handle them this time. thanks for y'alls help.

The thing with the met is you need to keep on it for a bit. Its not one and done. Also I found a pyrethrum/rotenone drench will thin em out. The rotenone is esp. effective if not popular for og growing so much anymore. IMO it's important to knock down the population and then go forward. If your not in flower check out the bayer tree and shrub for a chem systemic. good luck.

ya the Imid & pyrethrum knocked these out last fall for me, spent like 6-7 months without issue and now they're back. couple drenches with the merit & gnatrol and shit is looking much much much better. what do you mean by "you need to keep on it for a bit", HIghsteppa? i thought it was to be used at transplants, are you saying you top dress the stuff or something? and yes i plan on using it from here on out.

Just saying that that withe the met 52 your going to want to keep at it for a while even if there is no sign of RA. Use your root zone as a trap for the little bitches; any RA hiding are always going to make their way to some roots and you'll have a toxic enviro waiting for them.
