My pics suck next to the professional ones. It's still fun. This is 4 grams of shatter made from Sensi Star buds last weekend. This was my first time trying vacuum purging.

I started with 35 grams of Sensi Star bud. I had 10 Sensi Star females from seed last grow. This wasn't the best of the group but very dense and crystally. One butane extraction yielded just over 4 grams shatter after vacuum purging with no heat. This smells and tastes just like the original buds.

I then did 2 longer isopropanol extractions on the bud to get about the same amount of a dark green oil. I purged this with ethanol and redissolved in 50 ml of everclear to make a batch of tincture. I haven't tested it yet, but from previous batches I'd guess I'd get high from half a medicine dropper full added to a drink.

I've spent the last 3 weekends making amber sap / wax / shatter from the last harvest. This weekend I'll do a new batch with Mystic Gem.

I rolled a joint with the used up buds afterwards as a test. It tasted awful, but I swear I got a little high smoking it. I wasn't expecting anything good to be left after 3 extractions. I'll try making a big capsule with ground up bud powder to see if I get any effects that way.

Sup guys, i just found this thread so i felt nessacary to post some of my recently errls here.

This was a nug run of Platinum Kush. Was getting 25% yields on this stuff, i blasted 2 oz's of it, got back a half oz of oil. Used Vector Butane. Heat/Vac Purged.

I've got all my supplies. The tube has 42 grams of bud from an unknown sativa dominant strain from the last grow.

This stuff is between shatter and honey - its hard when you poke it, but sticky when you touch it - Do we have a name for that?

Sap, as long as you can see through it and pull a gossamer thread with your dabber. Otherwise it'd be some sort of wax.

Just a heads up to everyone in here blasting bho.... make sure you are using butane from the UK and not Korean stuff. I often see people bragging about using vector - and when people dab me out on oil made with vector I can taste it as 11% of that can is the propane they use as a propellant.

UK butanes:
lucienne, newport, collibri, etc

Korean butanes:
vector, power 5x etc.

Huge difference in quality.

The stuff you got looks great man, good color and consistency.

hard but sticky? id say its just some Sticky Shatter. Nice stuff bro!

If you think that UK butane's dont use iso butane and propane in there canned butane you better check the MSDS sheets. Even colibri has 22% of stuff that is not N-butane

True, but there is a huge difference in quality still. Anyone can taste it. I've had friends dab me out before and I mentioned their oil was made with korean butane before they did

You do know all of the uk brands are also blends of iso butane, n-butane and propane. I believe colibri is the only one without iso-butane.

Also propane isn't much different than butane just another simple alkane hydrocarbon. The main difference is how low propane boiling point which is about -43F. A propane extract winterized with ethanol won an extract cup in the northwest not to long ago.

well the MSDS for colibri does say it contains nothing other then n-butane but i find that a little hard to believe. Dont all canned butane's have some kind of either odor to detect gas leaks, or the infamous 'mystery oil' that everyone is hyping about right now? Im thinking i may want to call the number on the MSDS and find out.

I believe the problems with Korean butane have to do with the anti-inhalant they use in factories there, a sulfur-garlic nasty something.
