I just soaked the rest of the California Orange seeds I have. Only a few out of the 30 popped but they are up and growing. They came from an old cali grower that moved out here to Colorado. He had a bunch of old seeds and this was one strain he let me work with. Guess we will see what happens!

This is the one strain I really really, REALLY want to find again. Had her ten years ago and it was the best taste, smell, and yield. This is the reason I joined this site.

I grew out some sour orange( ae77 Cali-o x ecsd) by breeders choice back in 2009 and made F2's with selections towards the Cali-o phenos(which were not only the better smoke but better yielders as well).
That was fucking exceptional pot. Tasted straight up like orange flavored sour d and was better than both its parents. Super thick, greasy orange smoke with a really strong but happy high. One of the best tasting strains I've tried.

Anywho- I finally got around to cracking the f2's. 100% germ rate. I'll start a thread here in a couple of weeks. I plan on making f3's as well as outcrossing it to select clones that will jive beautifully with it.
Such as:
• exodus cheese x sour orange
• chem 4 x sour orange
• chem d x sour orange
• Albert walker x sour orange (if I can get the AW clone)
• and hopefully the thread will inspire some kind soul to float me the original ae77 Cali-o clone to bx.

This is a strain I'm committed to working for years to come.
I believe it has the potential to be the best orange strain ever. I've grown/smoked many orange strains- agent orange, jillybean, nirvana Cali O, orange skunk, etc. None came close.

I have many hybrids with half Cali-O clone, the real one. I snagged the Cali-o from my dads weed connection back in the mid 90s. He was a DJ at a VERY famous Bay Area radio station and I`m not dropping names but he had the REAL... 500$ an ounce before medical mj.

Great to hear! I really hope somebody can get you a real deal cut so we can all get some if those beans I fell strongly about this strain as well!

i have some ae77 calio x deepchunk f3's i breed them to the Calio side they all come out smelling/tasting like oranges/tangerines even when i out cross the orange/tangerine dominates in the off spring.

last year i made a hybrid crossed to lvpk x hindu kush i call orange grove that turned out great smells & taste like orange/tangerines & more potency from the lvpk, im making a second batch now. its a wonderful strain to breed with.
