I lit Rodney Dangerfield's cigs a couple of times, stage front table and when Rodney asked my date for a light she was so excited she couldn't even spark up her own lighter, of course he started humiliating her so she handed it to me.

after the next comic finishes his set Rodney returns to stage, needs a light, leans toward Debbie, quickly insults her and then facetiously leans in toward me to spark up his cig.......


that would have been '79 or '80 and sitting @ the stage cost me $60, hadda slip $20 to the doorman/bouncer that got me past all the folks waiting outside on line (a line around the corner btw) and then $40 to the maitre d for a decent table. I guess it made good business sense to let better spenders in the door, once inside there was also a 'table minimum' posted depending on the size of the table, I believe it was a $29 minimum for two.

I also met Rodney in Vegas in 1980, in Caeser's Palace.He was having breakfast, and my buddy was pointing @ him and saying "there's Rodney!".
I smacked him upside the head and said "will you leave the man alone and let him eat in peace?"
Rodney observed the goings on and invited us to join him. So we did! Rodney was a player, and in those days was into the coca. He was a funny guy and he loved to get high. He was looking to score, but we couldn't help him.

I smoked a blunt with Too Short at the Arts Center Tower in Atlanta GA back in 2002.

I was visiting a "friend" and we decided not to burn in his apt so we went up to the pool deck. It looked like the coast was clear so we blazed. Then we noticed two black dudes across the way and we had a sort of stare off. All of us trying to figure out if the others were going to freak about the weed smoke. Then once it occurred to us that we were all out there to blaze, they waved us over and we matched blunts of chronic. We chatted about weed and bullshit and it was only after dude started talking about being from Oakland and the weed difference that it started to sink in. This is too short. Pretty cool. Our blunt had better herb in it than theirs though.

me and friend were in a side street cafe.
he came in and heard me and friend talking
in english. he asked could he and this lady he
was with could join us. he said it had been 5 years
since he spoke english. so we ate and chatted for
like 2 hours. he was translating to the lady she was
married and he was trying to get a lay out of her. lol
so as we were leaving i asked if he wanted to puff.
he was like yes i would lol. so smoked 2 joints with
him and more wine another hour. so i kind of knew
his name but could not place it till 3 days later.
he was a very cool old man. told me and friend that
we should go to india and live like kings for $10 a day.
i still never have done that maybe someday.
