vaped up some of my NL tincture in my portable vaporizer called the da vinci. it has an oil can that is cotton wick filled. it worked pretty well. best temps seemed to be between 385 and 390F...

pretty cool, i wanna try my thicker 100%VG based, non-flavored tincture in the da vinci next

Nice!!! That Da Vinci looks legit! I like the adjustable "straw", where'd you pick her up? You should check out http://ruvaped.com, they got the concentrate skillets, so there's no need for the whole chemistry major lol... Their glass globe looks nice, a friend of mine has one on a Lavatube (Their distributed from hawaii ;P) and it gets red hot instantly! Im kinda in the same boat as you, not wanting to blast BHO, but got Bubblebag's and some brain's lol. Im hoping to decarboxylate/ISO wash the bubble I end up making, and either buying a skillet like I mentioned, or getting down with this Alchemy you got going on. Another little tidbit, I remember reading that certain natural flavorings contain terpene's, I wonder if we could enhance the bland high of BHO? Cheers!

the da vinci is legit !!! very nice vapor hits from ground flowers or oils/tincts in the oil can. prolly any VG/PG based eliquid as well, i don't really know yet.

i just purchased a glass globe from rupvaped thanks and i will be making BHO for this, but have to wait until i can get the proper weather and privacy in my backyard (no fence, but know when the neighbors will be going on vacation ) to spray butane.

tell me more about the eskillet. how does it work?

EDIT: i forgot to answer your question regarding the "snorkel", the long mouth piece. the unit that comes with it is about 3 inches long. the "snorkel" is 8 inches and allows the vapor to cool a bit more. it can also be routed into a bong or bubbler

i feel like shaking it just dissolves it temporarily .

i havent tried mixing everclear yet but i guess it the next step kus my pg/vg mixes end up with bho settling on the top.
although the mix has taken on a nice light green hue.

i've been wanting to dabble in the concentrates. guess i'm dabbling

i have not noticed a change in potency yet, but i now think the mt dew flavoring did not really affect potency that much.

i'm still shaking my cold process tincture each day. it appears to be blended more each day. smoother overall texture.

can't wait to try that one.

got my glass globe in and the tincture works in it

it's really designed for BHO or wax.

i was worried about tipping it and the tincture running out of the nail and it would so i just kept it upright.

i love it !!!!

i also received my lavatube VV (variable voltage). really nice with a BIG ASS battery (16850). it's nice to be able to dial in the perfect voltage and wattage

here's the collection of e-cigs, vape pens so far. got more kanger clearomizers (not pictured, with diff flavors). i also ordered a pink and a blue pyrex colored glass kanger protank.

this shit is fun and since i can infuse my drug of choice into my tincture i'm loving it !!!!!!!!

ok, i started this thread with a lack of knowledge on concentrates. but my knowledge is growing.

i now have a good grasp on VG, PG, Tinctures, E-Cigs and E-Liquids.

what i still need to accomplish is some BHO and then finally some wax and/or shatter

ready to step up the next level...



i'm armed with 5 cans of 7X filtered Liquid Brand Butane, a pyrex dish for spraying, an extractor tube and some 160 micron screens.

i guess i still need to get another pyrex dish for warm water butane evaporation, at least as i understand the process.

here is the plan i will follow, most likely without the use of a blow dryer.

I blast directly into a glass cake pan. When i'm done blasting i purge
using a hot water bath via a larger cake pan filled with hot water.
Just recently when i bring my cake pan inside, i have been running a
hair dryer under the pan to purge residual butane left in the oil.
Then i scrape the pan, to get all the oil in my glass ashtray. I then
do multiple vac purges with my little $20 food saver from walmart.
That's my process, works like a charm every time.

i have a small vacuum sealer, jars and jar sealer to further extract moisture and butane from the oil, which will now soon be turning to wax.

do i understand the process? do i need to read more, before i try to make BHO next weekend?

what am i missing?

i will be reading intensely before i go outdoors for some BUTANE extraction. i've already read and read and read. a little tired and majorly stoned right now, so i will refresh my memory and try to post some pics of my process and results.

i can't wait to vape some BHO from my glass globe e-pen vaporizer and lavatube mod

i'm really stoned tonight due to my last batch of tinture, my lavatube mod (and my ego passthru battery pen) and my glass globe

im sure ull get a grasp on the bho tincture soon, then u can show me how .

recent attempt at vg/pg tincture with bho, u can see some stuck on the dropper.

3 different mixes, clearest one on bottom of picture, just there for scale, only little bho in that one. all of um have not mixed completely and still stuck inside dropper and bottles. gonna start messing with dissolving in ethanol then evaporating once mixed with pg/vg mix.

so i think this is important and i will share.

no hair dryer......use a heating pad on high to get bubbles to form in the sticky bho. pop them or scrape but it easier than hair dryer. peace

so this is my understanding of making bho.

please critique this for me

1. start with dry bud. doesn't need to be ground up, but any bigger buds should be broken up.

2. fill extraction tube and packing, but not to tight. do not leave any air pockets (as this will cause the butane to turn to gas and result in poorer results.

3. cover end of tube with filter. i got washable, reusable 160 micron silk screen. use hose clamp to hold filter on tube.

4. over a pyrex dish at least 1.5" deep but small enough to fit into a second pan of warm water hold the extraction tube with an oven mitt. spray butane down into the tube in 30 sec intervals, wait 15 secs and repeat.

5. once the butane is running clear out of the tube, take the pyrex dish you sprayed into and place it into a warm bath in a second dish. this is done outside also.

6. once all i am left with is an oily, bubbly residue, place the pyrex dish on a heating pad to do a final butane purge from the oil by letting it sit for 1 hour.

7. scrap and enjoy


a few questions, should my bath be WARM or HOT? i know it should not be boiling. plus butane's boiling point is really low. for that reason, i am going to guess a WARM bath would suffice.

also should the heat pad step be done outside or are you good to go indoors at this point?

ok, so here are most of the VG/PG based flavors i have created. i forgot to add Honey Carmel Cream and Peach Tea to the photo

from left to right:
Mountain Dew, Coffee and Sugar, Chocolate Covered Cherries, Vanilla Coke, Neapolitan, Vanilla Bourbon Cream, Cherry Limeade, Cherry Coke and Hot Chocolate.

as i perfect these, at least by my taste buds, i will post recipes. a lot of these need to steep.

on the heating pad....i set it on high for 1 hr then 1 hr on medium...popping bubbles every 20 min or so.

i dont make it very often and some do a more thorough purge by pulling a vacuume while hot/warm.

on the topic of purging, thanks for the clip. the only thing i am doing different he what he said not to do, although others do it successfully.

vacuum purging with a mason jar, a mason jar sealer and a handheld foodsaver vacuum pump.

i will purge, purge and repurge until the butane is gone

my hand pump is just now ready after charging. i just ran a test on a mason jar and it works well. should do the trick.

got me a seed sprouting heat mat that will help here and in germinating

prolly gonna make this run on saturday.

oh btw, in the video the guy uses the non stick pads. i have both of those. big one to blast onto and the small one to go inside a mason jar.

should be fun !!!
