Have to admit that I was super baked when I saw this thread title last night and instantly thought "What the hell just use the yellow ones......" Then I realized it was like forum stickies and not pest traps! Wifey could not figure out why I was laughing so damn hard.

to me it's like saying, what's more important, your lungs or your heart.. all information is information



go into the DJ section, and tell me what you see... I was the one to get rid of the only sticky in that sub section, as it was wrong to think "this" information is better then "that" information... who's to decide?

one Idea. instead of making everything a sticky why not take everything that is currently there, make one sticky that is locked that links to them all. start fresh and see what becomes sticky worthy. then repeat the process annually.

You could also include a sticky explaining to casual readers how to use the search functions and that most of their questions have probably are already addressed or perhaps including some faqs or something. I was not used to the search functions when I first started posting here.

hopefully avoiding some redundant questions and maybe helping guide

i'd like to see a sticky/thread(just easier to find i guess) about all the plants that are useful to start/seek out/have around if you do the whole organic thing... nettles, yarrow, cilantro, and basil are the only ones i can remember but i do remember cootz posting up his arsenal of herbs to fight pests with(it was in one of the huge threads - i looked for it but couldnt find it)

its not like many of these new posters care to read the stickies before posting in the fitst place

im pretty confident
most will ask the same question to see as many response as possible to make there own conclusion,with or with out stickies

shame we lost soo many experienced & well read members to repeat them selves
hence some threads are gold for the rare info junkies

This is our biggest problem with this section.

There are mass amounts of information available in the organic soil forum, but it is impossible to find any of it.

actually; there are chunks of good info aggregated in random collections

some folks "notes" in the ROLS thread are actually pretty complete

of course; the keep it simple rule kinda applies here too.... you dont really need all that info/just a good soil mix and the skills

I'd like to see a STICKY of "side by side" grows. Using cuttings of the same plant, do two or more grows at the same time using different growing methods. As far as I know, it's never been done in this organic soil forum.
