Cool thread so far and thanks for all the pictures. It looks like you've got things down quite well. What is the name of the manufacturer of your LED light?

Nice, LED's are really coming on. Plants are liking it. Good idea to use a couple of plants to find the right height for the light, before they really take off.
Like the sound of 3watt LED power being used. So I have the same question. Who makes these fixtures ?
how'd i miss this thread
is that an HGL array?
I would go 20/4 on the light schedule.
I have tried 12/12 and it was no good...
Other runs were done on 18/6 and they improved a lot.
One done on 20/4 was the best producer in terms of yield and potency.
That is exactly what it is, and it is tied to the metabolism of the plant but also the growing environment and food source. Farmers use it as a general indication of crops, and fruit growers use it for sugar content. Cheap hydroponic tomatoes would have a brix of 2 while expensive soil grown organic tomatoes could have a brix beyond 8-10 range. The best tasting grapes are said to have a brix of 22. When you find something with lower than expected readings, often attributed to the plants stress response or immune system.did a quick google and it looked like it was a measure of sugar in liquid, a weight measurement in the end.
At a given co2 level, for me room/ambient, I believe each strain has a maximum brix level they can achieve. I am trying to see where that is, and how I can affect it. More specifically what soil amendments and water additives I can use to increase it, if possible. I recently switched those two plants shown over to a flowering mix, from the veg mix, and in the past the plants have responded very well. I am interested if that will be reflected in the brix reading.could you explain a little more about brix readings and what they mean to you? what action would you take based on a given reading and so forth?
yeah that makes sense for sure!! thanks for taking the time to break it down. so i suppose strains would have different max brix levels, but a higher brix should produce better tasting flowers? count me in.
What sort of investment for a decent brix meter?
cool, thanks for the explanation.
good luck with the grow!
