Damn DB that sucks!!! At least your still on this side of a prison wall.

OH, weez, Grey, and all the rest of you guys stay safe!!!!!

They hit Puna hard. I had a tray of seedlings just coming out of the soil and that put me 8 over they dug out the seeds that had not popped and they took everything saying I wasn't in compliance. He told my wife if you are over on anything they will take it all. Wipe out. My bud number was under and they took them. The DEA came to my door to check my numbers. My wife was the only one home and now they really pissed her off. Our 4th stash is no more.
Where I was working they came and took all of that guys too. Glad I was just a dumb carpenter on the job.
Sounds like they are changing the rules and want to make a statement.
That's bad news, but the good news is that even though you were over your numbers they still didn't charge you with anything. That's actually good information to know. So, thanks for sharing. Did they come in your house? And if so, was it after they found your seedlings or before? I don't have anything going on right now, but that could be good info to know how it went down in case there is other patients who need to have some early starts to keep from running out of meds.

Shit DB....What can I say?

Sounds like they came down hard this go round. I've been in your shoes. More than once. I've had people PM me asking why I was so damn paranoid about GH.

Now everyone knows.

Outdoor growers on the mainland have to deal with the pricks once a year....we get'em once a month....

Small consolation but SB 642 passed. If Abacrombie signs...and I think he will....after Jan 2nd 2015...the mature/immature crap will be a thing of the past.

Your warning has been put out there. You know how this works. I've called everyone in my phone to warn them what will be comming down next week. They will call everyone they know. and down the line. Put the word out. By Monday this island will be buttoned up tight.

Here...at the casa de Oldhaole, I am under my total numbers and Sunday afternoon a Skunkdog or two will be taken. Due to the late changeover from clones to seeds, once one of those Skunkdog clones is taken, then I have 8 in flower. Just for insurance I may dig up a slightly mature plant...just in case. I also may plant a couple more babies...bring my plant count up to 21.

Now comes decision time. Once I'm all buttoned down...I'm legal.
My plants can be easily counted from the air. There is no reason for them to step foot on my property.

DB...which way did they come in? Under the chopper? or did you wife deal with the ground crew comming in off the road? How many choppers?

If they insist on a warrantless search...which I will try to discourage...I'll try to get them in the blackberries. I'll also leave some starter pots on front deck...They won't find anything there....but I can make it lool like there is. Just to watch them root around. I can't promise to make them bleed...but I promise you I'll make them sweat. See if I can get some pics to boot.

A Friday GH is a new one. A new wrinkle to watch for. They may be there (BI) another day or two. I wouldn't put it past them to try it here.

Liteweight... I'm gonna run thru this yet again.

When they stepped on DB's land they did so without a search warrant. They will say they saw extra plants from the air...that gives them probable cause. But they can't see small plants from 500 ft up....where they should be...so they come way lower. Another illegal search....and breaking FAA rules to boot. Ask them to duplicate their sightings at trial....they can't...or ask how many illegal searches of garden they made where no plants were taken and everyone was in compliance...more than a few....It's been done before. Anything they find is fruit of the poisoned tree. So regardless of what they say...and it is ok for a cop to lie to you....anything seized is not admissable in court.

Hawaii follows the Home is your Castle doctrine. They can illegaly search outbuildings....but they can't search your house without a warrant. Any space under your roof is covered. Should they see a shitload of weed hanging in plain sight they could arrest you, but then we are right back to fruit of the poisoned tree. And once in your house they open themselves up to tresspassing charges at least. And a juicy lawsuit. Once they hop that fence a court case isn't gonna fly. There just thieves with badges.

When they want to bust someone they will fly over, take pictures, count plants, check to see how many you can legaly grow...if way over... take it to a judge, convince him to issue a search warrant, serve the warrant...bla bla bla. There is a legal way to do this.

Takes way more time to do legaly. So what you get is what happened to DB. He is in no danger of arrest.

GEMiNi...what the hell you gonna farm in Kona? Rocks? That's the only thing that grows in the natural "soil" there. Head up to Waimea...way nicer there...with actual soil and no active volcano at your back.

Mahalo guys!!! I had my gate open and they drove up in a p/u truck with no air support. The yellow hele was at my house and the silver hele was at where i was working.
They took all of that guys stuff he had a expired blue card. They landed in the lot next door and dropped off 2 local PD who were nice. I have had my card for 3 yrs and have done the same thing but this time they changed the rules on me. So now it is a different game. No way did they see my starts from the air. Some were just breaking ground and those were the only vegs I had. The guy told my wife what if we let 2 in plants go then people would have hundreds. How f--en dumb can you be. Life of a pot grower even if you think you are legal. DB

Db .... Tell em that they can only chop the males ;)

OH .... I was thinking about it cause the cost and size of the lot .... But your totally right .. Rocks n sand galore ..... Either Maui or hawai'i ... Just depends on the property ..... Buy it in the next couple years and build it up over a decade then retire and grow a few trees year round ..... The Dream!!

Did you put your plant counts on boards OH ... Or were you just joking about that? :D

I gotta get down there and explore the islands. I suspect I'd like it.

Wow DB sorry to hear that... Not sure what to make of all this? Seems like things are going backwards in policy.

Wtf? Thats the most "active" drug war bullshit I've heard about in a "medical" state... good lord...

If you need a ray of Humboldt Happiness drop us a line...

Thanks OH for the info, it all makes sense.

I was super tired the other night when I made this reply, but I should've also thank you too DB808 for giving us the rundown.

And thanks for typing all the info out OH. I know you've gone through that before, but I didn't know the "fruit from the poisoned tree" thing would fly if you were actually over your total plant numbers and not just over your "mature" plant numbers. Anyway, it makes sense now, so thanks for being patient enough to repeat yourself.

Also FYI, it's been quiet this week so far where I live; only tour helicopters and GoMokulele planes.

Ohhh Boy.

What a mess. This is kinda fucked up. Like throwing a party...or a wake...and nobody shows up. Your left waiting with your thumb up your ass.

Needless to say, GH this week is MIA. I thought, guarantee, they'd be here this week. Normaly we are right behind the BI. Not this time.
But the week ain't done yet.

And of course I put the word out...been getting calls all day..."Well? Thought they were gonna fly."

What can I say?...so did I.

Needless to say my credibility is shot....Shit, it was on life support anyway. Took a perfectly good week out behind the barn and kilt it. And I'm not gonna stop worring until they do the deed.

Fly already!

What are you suppose to do? Either way your screwed. Put the word out....nothing happens....everybody is pissed. Say nothing....they do fly, guys lose plants...the're pissed then too...just not at you.

Remember...no good deed goes unpunished.

No story tonight kiddies. The wayback machine can stay whever it is.

GEMiNi....I put my MMJ numbers off of our Blue Cards on a board. One that can easily be seen from above. Not my plant count. I doubt DB had any males to chop either.

DB....that's my experience with GH too. Guys in the choppers are cowboys. They'll let you wheel and deal. Guys in the truck (ground crew) are assholes. Without a doubt they didn't see those starts. It's rough when you have to go to work...and leave the kids behind. Were you home I'd bet the starts would have been stashed.

Lucky for me, either wifey or I am here 24/7.

Lightweght...there must be some mistake...I seldom make sense. I did oversimplify the exact rules. I also make some assumptions...ie. your property is fenced with a locked gate.

Mr Sterling...if you like to smoke a wide variety of cannibis, and don't take yourself real seriously you'd fit right in. Type A people don't do well here.

JOJO....how many choppers did you guys see? They fly all week or just Friday? Was that BI's first GH of the year? Or the second? The last time we dealt with them, the bossman said he was gonna take them all if I was even one over. Luckily I had harvested the day before they flew...and had 17 growing at that moment.

Hella...let's just say it's all messed up....but very few get arrested.

Knock wood.

Topped off the garden today. Added three more plants from seed. hauled a lot of mulch too. End this post here.

Before I fall asleep on the keyboard.

wanted to post this quote from my grow diary
Saw the DEA copter with a guy on the skids in a yellow rain suit flying around the other day. Then saw the local copters the next 2 days,
That was April 19 2013
And no copters over upper puna as of today that I saw. I know DB says they are here,I just have not seen them personally.
I am way spooked over all this "abnormal" activity that we are seeing and hearing about let me tell ya..
Stay safe everyone:)

I'm from one of those weird rural places that might as well be an island. Very small, very rural in terms of population, but the attitude toward city life and outsiders who move here reminds me of islanders

Any cheap but decent farmland left there OH?

Back to Boring.

Back to Boring.

Last week was pretty messed up.

This week appears to be just as messed up.

The rain doesn't want to stop. Last week we had two fronts crawling toward the islands. The first front stalled short of us. The second had just enough juice to push the both over Maui County....where it stalled for a few days.

Then an area of high pressure brought the trades back...but in the process, all the rain that passed over us, was pushed right back on top of the island again.

Wound up to be horrible timing. Pull the plants out from the GH that never happened....straight into the weather.

The rain doesn't hurt the starts...if anything it helps them. It sure messes up the flowering clones though. Since it looks like a week of rain was heading our way I harvested a couple of Skunkdog clones and another Unknown OG.

Took long enough to dry, but the yield numbers from the last take are in. The Cheesy Thai put out ten.

picture.php

An Unknown OG gave six. And a Gorilla Glue yielded seven and a half. There are another two Skunkdog clones taken and drying....that strain is my biggest yielder....so we'll soon see what they put out.

It appears that the last GH was only a BI trip....once I say that... they will probably fly here tomorrow. Let them. Yesterday I emptied the lightroom into the overflow gulch....in the rain...at least I didn't have to haul water. Keeping those inside was killing me.

Soo....The last week of non GH and this wet week forced me to hit the reset button. Too bad too....we were just starting to get into the grove. I'm keeping;

Skunkdog
Unknown OG
Gorilla Glue

Those stay...on the bubble we have;

Triangle Kush
Alien Dog
Daywrecker

Probably keep two of those. Maybe all three.

JOJO, DB...thanks again for the heads up.

Mr Sterling...Short answer...no. There are big landowners that will allow you to lease farmland. Here farms are being turned into houselots at a good clip.

Hella...I'm confused too. We tend to wander here.

M

MrSterling

Yeah, same story almost everywhere desirable for farming unfortunately :/. Sorry to hear about all the rain OH. It'll turn around!

aloha OH. Sorry to hear about the weather. It has been overcast and voggy here, no trades made the vog thick. It smelled like a campfire and the smoke was thick in the trees for a couple days. It gets super muggy, sweating just sitting in the shade with no trades.. Now we are getting mad rain and sporadic sun, however the trades are blowing again and I think soon this crappy weather will leave, I hope. I feel sorry for those with buds right now.

I don't have any flowering plants as I learned my lesson last year, only vegging plants till june 21.

Now about this BI only GH.. I believe that DB said they hit Oahu also and I am surprised that you have not seen them. I am not doing anything outside in the open this year as I wanna see what they are gonna do with the new policy before I lose my crop or worse.

It's all in the greenhouse and tightly wrapped for me this year.
