177w CFL 12/12 from seed

I'll post the link here once I start it (probably when I put the first round of plants out).

I tried my small sample of the CK. It was only a few hits, but the effects were very promising :woohoo:. The plant still has some newer pistils, but they are beginning to turn. At least 50% of the hairs appear to have receded into the buds a bit. I think I'm sticking to a week from next Friday for harvest, give or take a few days.

Sounds delicious! :)
It was

I had some free time so I took some photos of the Critical Kush with my jeweler's loupe. Pardon the hairs on the buds, it's amazing how much those sticky buds will pick up.

Trichomes appear mostly milky to me, not much amber from what I can see. These pictures are all from the lower buds because I couldn't get a good shot of the top. The top bud still has a decent amount of white pistils, but the lower buds only have a few and appear nearly finished in that regard. I think heat stress from the top bud being close to the bulb is a possibility. I'll give her a better look tomorrow and give a full update on the plants.

Hey guys, update time!

All the buds are very dense/hard, and they smell just amazing. The Skunk has the best smell to me, it's very fruity with musky undertones.

From another angle, the bud formation on top almost looks like mild foxtailing:

Her lower buds, they look a bit further along, but I'll harvest the whole thing at once anyway:
picture.php

I think I'll let her go another week, depends on how I feel and how she progresses. I'm feeding only water now.

Skunk #1, doing well, the main bud is fat and rock hard, but the lower buds are still pathetic lol:

The next update will probably be harvest for the CK, my first successful indoor harvest
That's all for now, thanks for stopping by my thread!

Hi RossettaStoned! Very beautiful buds! You've done a very great work! Compliments! Bye!

:smoweed:

Thanks guys!

I started my OD thread here

I harvested the Critical Kush a few days early. I had another power outage beforehand, so the timer was set off a little bit. I did what I could to fix it, hopefully the other 3 girls will be okay.

Group shot before the chop, the Five-O was leaning a bit from the weight of it's bud and from thirst as I hadn't watered in a few days:

After a fan leaf/ rough trim:

Main cola fully trimmed:
picture.php

She was very dense, and some of the growth got very little light, but still budded, so I got these weird albino buds:
picture.php

Took awhile to trim, but I got a little chunk of scissor hash and I got to try my 1 gal bubble bags. It made only a little hash, but it was great. Very potent, bubbled and turned to liquid. Tasted awesome.
The CK is drying now, I'll post the dry weight soon.
The others are doing okay, I propped the Five-O a bit since she was leaning. They should fill out a bit more now that more of the 125w is reaching them. Still a few more weeks at least on the rest, maybe less for the white widow. I'll be back with another update next week, thanks for stopping in.

Very nice ... this was a great read! Just a question, I read that it's not healthy to plant several plants in the same pot because it causes the roots to bunch up and takes away form the growth - is this the case? I see you've got all your plants in one pot?
I'm putting the finishing touches on my case, and I was just going to do one plant, but if I can put two or three in a single pc case, I'm laughing ..
I look forward to your sound advice!!

Thank's NKOTS, I try to be pretty thorough, it just means more trim for hash :)

In most cases I would agree, unless the container is quite large, they may end up choking eachother's root space. Since I did 12/12 from seed, they didn't grow very big, and didn't need as much space, but if you plan on vegging them for awhile, I would only go one plant per. It may not be a bad experiment to try though, I've seen it done on here with good success if I remember correctly.

Are you suggesting I do 12/12 from seed?
This is my first grow ... I've got butterflies and the scared shakes at the same time ... kinda like the first time getting laid .. lol

rootidec :thank you:

Ogonzo I suggest you give them a few weeks of veg beforehand, it'll leave more room for mistakes, which are bound to happen, it's just part of the learning process. I killed quite a few plants before any made it to harvest. I know that feeling lol, it'll pass, growing is mostly a waiting game imo.

Cabinet Ninja She is most definitely the most dense plant I've harvested yet.

Although it doesn't look it in the picture, this one top bud is over 6 grams:
picture.php

Stiff, hard nugs. I've never had weed this dense that wasn't brick weed lol

The smoke is great, still needs a cure to even it out and bring out the smell/taste. Definitely stoney, but with a bit of a psychedelic kick to it :rasta: Very powerful! Here is most of it, about 15 grams:
picture.php

I smoked some, but altogether there was about 18-19 grams total! I'm very happy and this will keep me going for awhile.

Everything's doing well in the cab

You can see how I propped the Five-O up, just a coat hanger, but it works. I believe her main cola is now so heavy she can't keep it up herself.

Here's the Five- O top:
picture.php

The top is funny looking because it touched the top of the carbon filter when I propped it up. She's even fatter than the Critical Kush, the main cola is longer, and feels denser than the CK did before chop. She still has tons of white hairs though, and looks like the furthest from harvest.

White widow:

Very few fresh pistils left on her. Also very dense, definitely getting a few grams from this one. Maybe an 1/8th if I'm lucky. Going to let her go at least another week. I thought she was going to take much longer, but she surprised me and is finishing up nice. Happy I'm finally going to get to try this strain after hearing about it for so many years.

Skunk #1, going to be top quality smoke without a doubt:

Thanks for the feedback everyone! That's all for now, I'll be back next week with an update, and possible harvest of the Widow :tiphat:

rosetta, you rock :headbange

good job on securing the main cola of five-o. the last thing we would all like to see is that stem break before she finishes.

stay relaxed, buddy

Well this Critical Kush is definitely doing a good job at keeping me relaxed :) My solution for the Five-O is working well, she is secure for now, I had to do the same for skunk's main cola as well. They have put on quite a bit of weight.

Update!

I harvested the Widow today. Things have been a bit rough the last week, it's been hot here and I can't keep the box below the 90's. I also had another problem with my timer, it's just badly designed, and I'll use the better one I have next time. They got maybe 18 hours of darkness, probably 12 of those without airflow. I hopefully got things back on track. The remaining two don't look too bad, no serious foxtails, no nanners or anything that I've seen whatsoever. They are taking it pretty well all things considered. Just been watering with plain water + carbs (honey is all I have at the moment, works fine for me).

Group shot:

Five-O Top, a little rougher looking now (buds looks fine though), she appears to be finishing up, few more weeks I imagine:

And her three nice side tops:

Skunk #1:

She's definitely my favorite this year. The best trichome coverage of the girls. Absolutely the best smell, and it continues to develop, it's incredibly fruity and potent. I'm quite desensitized to the smell of weed, but this is something else :p Can't get enough of it. Her lower buds are still small, but it seems they are forming small rock-like nuggets, and there is so many of them for such a small plant. The main cola is fat as hell.

Wonderful smell to this one as well.

That's all for this week. I'll be back with dry weight/ pics soon and another update on the other two. I'm not entirely sure how much time they have left, maybe 2 weeks. The skunk looks a little closer to me.

Thanks for stopping by :tiphat:
