Ha, thought of you when I snapped that picture. Was doing the last one and was like "Man, I know DF likes that root porn :tiphat:

wow nice! curious to see that 2gal auto as well

I knew I was forgetting something!

Still not flowering. Growth exploded after I transplanted, so I decided to wait an additional week. Will be getting on that Monday.

As for the Biker Le Blanc... 0 males so far, 1 female. Really want some of these males to show so I can cull 'em.

Also, just ordered 2 more packs of seeds:

Cheesy Rider
Jack O Nesia

Already got...

D-Kush
Biker Le Blanc
Biker Kush v2.0

Reduce your photo period...if you are running 24hr veg light then reduce lighting to 18/6 - should help them show sex a bit more. I had to reduce lighting on my Brotherhood OG to get them sexing...even then it took about 7-8 before they really started showing.

man thats a nice canopy , even with the different strains they are all right on par with eachother. nice planned setup , dialed in, what your humidty hover round in that smaller box with that thick foliage

Watch for sideways growth once flipped so they don`t choke one another out as they stretch and end up competing for light and environment.....

DF, thanks for the input. I've been on 18/6 for a little while now. Got to have been at least 2 weeks. Lots of pre-flowers and alternating nodes... just no males yet. I was thinking about trying 16/8 for the last few days of veg. Really don't wanna transplant them into good soil for 'em to turn male.

Speaking of soil, I'll be using a new mix, kinda. It'll be straight Promix BX, amended. No FFOF or Dr Earth soil mixed in there, I want 100% control over my soil for easier dialage for the strains with repeated runs. Gonna be mixing it today.

Really great build mate:)

Looking foward to seing how they will fill out that space

Thanks man! Here's to hoping for a dense, full canopy!

In the donut, it's been running about 76-78f and about 48% rh. I need to put the thermometer in the veg to let you know about that one. Temps are higher in the small cab (82-85... hit 88 once or twice on a hot day)... I'll be putting a 6" intake in there to see if that'll help. Not sure on rh in the small cab, but I imagine it'll be about 48% as well.

Good advice there DHF! I'll be cloning most of these girls just before putting them in flowering... Kinda why I'm so determined to sex them before flowering. Don't have a clone factory set up yet and can only take maybe 20-30 clones, tops. Can't be cloning all the males with those limited numbers.

Anyway, cloning and some pruning will take care of the lateral branches, I hope.

I've got some fencing, but I was not able to mount it in the donut for marlo-style anchors. The problem is the insulation doesn't provide a good anchor point and the fencing falls off with little pressure to it. Needa find some staples or something that'll go through the insulation and into the plywood. So I'm a little concerned about training. Stakes may have to do for now until I figure something out.

In the future, I'll probably just pull out the insulation, put another 2x2 vertically in the middle of every wall for another anchor point, and then re-install the insulation around it . I can use the corner 2x2's now as an achor, but the middle sags too much to be able to use it with any weight.

"Romex wire staples" in the electrical section at Lowe`s or Home Depot will hold that barricade fencing through the foamboard insulation and sink into the osb/plywood behind FTW Bro.......

Hammer required though , so....Handle it....

Add about a 1/3c more of your base ingredients to compensate for the nutrients lost from the baggged soils. Watch you liming - if necessary at all - I know we discussed Pro-Mix DOES lime their peat (dolo and calcitic). IT SHOULD be in theory pH balanced...might run a bit low, as that is typically my experience. If you added dolomite to the plain peat, no worries, just don't continue to add it - and get yourself another LONG TERM source for recycling your soils - ie oyster shell flour and DE make a great pairing for fast / long term Ca.

Diatomaceous Earth is a 7 on the hardness scale, meaning it isn't TOO readily available until made into a smaller particle - much like the oyster shell flower. However, DE (food grade) is roughly 20+% Ca which makes it a great addition for cannabis. Just a thought. Very little of it goes along way - as it is also very high in silica, which will help in other various measures. I'd add about 2tbsp - 1/4c MAX in your mix and see what you think.

I think it is an important addition over looked by far too many growers, simply because they don't understand it's various benefits. DE releases anions in the soil, helping form necessary chemical bonds for retention of minerals and greatly affects CEC...

Yo, DF...

Need some setting straight here. You stated to add 1/3c of the base ingredients to make up for the loss of nutrients in the bagged soil.

This here is my original mix:

15 gallons of Pro Mix All Purpose (About 2/3 bale despite their 4 cu ft claims)
11 gallon of Dr. Earth Pot of Gold soil
3 gallons perlite
1 gallon vermiculite
3 gallons EWC

To that I added 1c of each - bone, blood, kelp, lime.

So... that mix is for 30 gallons. Are you saying to amend 30 gallons with 1 1/3c of each? Or is that 1 1/3c of each for roughly 20 gallons (minus the bagged soil volume)? I feel like that's for the 20 gallons of soil, and not the full 30 because LC's recipe calls for quite a bit more than 1 1/3c.

I made a new mix using LC's mix as a starting point. Here's what I put together:

15 gallons promix BX
5 gallons super chunky perlite
4 gallons EWC
1 gallon vermiculite

Then I took a 5 gallon bucket with roughly 2/3 promix and 1/3 perlite and dumped that on top for 30 gallons. Wet it and just need to add some food.

Now according to LC's mix guide... 30 gallons = 2 cu ft = 2 cups blood meal, 2 cups kelp meal, 4 cups bone meal.

Can you advise? I feel like LC's is calling for more than is necessary for some reason... but that could be because I've always mixed a bag or two of FFOF in the promix.

Also forgot to mention... I've set the timer for flowering. I'm debating on whether or not to transplant the ones in the 2 gallon pots in the donut into 3 gallons. I KNOW they'd appreciate it as they're just over 12" tall at the flip. Will probably just hit 'em with AACT weekly after the stretch. Can only mix 30 gallons of soil at a time, and the stuff I just mixed is for biker le blanc.

Biker Kush v2.0 are in soil. Got a little behind with these due to the lag in sexing. I think in the future I'll turn the light to 12/12 for a brief period early on to force 'em to show sex early. Don't have room in my veg cab to be growing males. Took a bit longer than I was expecting on these.

I've culled 4 males so far... 2 white rom x biker, and 2 biker le blanc.

3 confirmed biker le blanc females. (good lookin') 3 suspected females (all 3 finicky ones with leaf issues, heh), 4 more suspected males (all the pretty ones).

Biker le Blanc is on 16/8 and will be put in flowering as soon as I confirm the status of the suspected males.

I'm saying if you drop the soil component...ie Dr. Earth or FFOF, etc - and went to a straight peat moss - you would want to compensate for their nutrient content...

I'm saying that the 30-45-60 day life span those soils provide, is equivalent to *roughly* a 1/3c - 1/2c of each of the the various amendments they contain...

LC's uses no pre-amended soils / composted content (outside of EWC, but that's different and not what I mean) - ie low base nutrient value by comparison - and thus why the ratios are a bit higher than the ones Phillthy uses...

Keeping in mind, of course, what you are running is a modified Phillthy mix... ;)

WHICH - interestingly enough, not sure if you are aware, was a modified version of BlazeOneUp's organic soil mix...

WHICH - again, was recently been adapted / modified for use by PureKnowledge via BurnOne's sticky...

So, if you want to study a few more organic mixes that can give you a comparative basis of how to amended given growing style....ie - a plant under Co2 and and high umol is going to feed more and demand more from it's media than will the same plant under a less intensified environment...

But it should help give you an broader idea of the flexibility of true organic gardening and perhaps provide with some more ideas to study those other mixes. ;)

Biker Le Blanc. Transplanted the remaining plants into 3 gallon grow bags in a fresh (uncooked) organic soil mixture. I'll give 'em several days to grow into their new bags and then they're off to flowering.

Biker Kush v2.0 will be taking their place, followed by Shoreline OG. After those two testers, I'll get around to popping new packs.

Took clones of all of the remaining Biker Le Blanc as well. I attempted the cloning in vermiculite with the fem seeds, and had some pretty shitty results (3 outta 14... I know what went wrong), but now I'd like to try cloning in root riot cubes, with a humidity dome. Just gotta figure out a cloning method that works for me, and get this clone factory running.

Not too fucking amused right now.

Ordered Cheesy Rider and Jack O Nesia... except the USPS delivered it to the wrong house. I attempted to ask my neighbor for my package, but the dude is legitimately crazy. Spent 15 minutes trying to deal with him yesterday, but I got nowhere. Don't even think he understood what I was there for.

Gonna talk to the postal guy when he comes around in about an hour or so. I shouldn't be approaching neighbors looking for mail that I wasn't responsible for at the time as its their job to ensure mail gets delivered to the proper box. He can go tell the crazy guy he dropped a package off at the wrong place.

And yeah, my box is clearly marked with a number... as was the house he claims he dropped the package off at.

The issue isn't so much the seeds... but it's a security risk. There is a package out there, with illegal contents, with my name on it.. and my address. Yeah, no safe addy this time (my safe addy is nearly 2.5 hours away... lived here less than a year.) So this is a pretty big issue for me right now, especially with a new family. I will not hesitate to cull everything if this shit keeps getting weirder.

that sucks man, I hate those weird random occurences's...always gets me paranoid as shit... stay safe and I hope you are able to get your seeds... but most importantly STAY SAFE!

It's all good, man. I'm not tearing anything down, but I did not receive my seeds either. Not gonna get into it, or really worry about it. I'll re-order if they don't re-ship.

Now... we've got a slight change in plans. Since I got those new timers....my stupid ass didn't know how to work them... and instead of being on 12/12 they were on 24/7 for a few days... and then they were on for 15 mins at 6 am and 6 pm..... for about a week.....I finally got the damn thing figured out and lights are set on 12/12.

So the change of plans:

I'm putting Biker Le Blanc and the only White Romulan x Biker Kush female in flower. I'm removing the fem'd freebies from the donut and temporarily sticking them in veg. I'll be taking several clones from these and flowering them along with Biker Kush v2.0. This is due to the Biker Kush hermie tendencies. Plus I need some cloning practice. Gonna butcher these trying a few methods and seeing what works best for me.

Biker Kush v2.0 is stretchy as fuck, my fault. Germinated them on top of my T5 with no lighting above them... no biggie, i'll just transplant 'em deep. 11/12 broke soil. they're under a 2 strip T8 right now, will go under the T5 as soon as I clone.

Pics tonight.

Looking good smokinerb, really nice healthy plants, such lovely color and vigor. Hope the mail siduation sorts itself out, that sucks when the postman delivers to the wrong house. I had it happen this year when I sent someone a present in the mail, thankfully it turned up a couple of days later unopened! Anyway if it does get to weird I'm sure you're ready to cull! I hope it doesn't get to that but if it does best to be safe than really sorry. All the best.
