There's a big difference between wanting to share quality genetics with the cannabis community and make a descent profit and just looking at this just as a way to make big money. The good Dr. appears to be the latter. There is no way he can justify those prices!!!!!

A. Gold never grew gold it had that color from the girdling of the stem and the slow drying process they used on the cure. You must of had a special phenol.

Plants can also turn gold from the sun if left to mature long enough. They stop taking up nutes and the remaining nitrogen from chlorophyll is used, the green colour dissapears and leaves a yellow or gold one. Basically that's sun curing before it's chopped. Girdling will stop the uptake from nutrients so it will happen faster.

I suckered into to his story out of lack of knowledge. $200 talked to the A hole on the phone. Junk. The biggest fastest growing strain to ever hit my garden. But nothing but swag. I couldn't give it away. The amount of time I lost was devastateing. Dnt waist ur money.

Whats funny I called him to complain. He said I said "You Wanted Big" "You Didn't Say Anything About Special" "If You Want Special You Want ChemDog"
I hung up.

He treats people so poorly..........I hear this same story over and over. Poor germination rates, bad customer service, high prices, SOME questionable genetics.......I'd just rather give others my money then this jerk.

Amen brother. And u know it was the first seeds I bought. Then I turned around and ordered serious seeds chronic and white rissian only to find out they suck. So I had a ruff start with my first seed ventures. But thats how u learn the hard way.

So drgt is what not to do imho

I've grown out Greenthumb's Malawi and Acapulco Gold. Both were outstanding land race weed. The AG buds turned a light gold, even the small stems, in late flower.

The first time I ever got high was on AG in 1972. The high is distinct. A floating, out of body, giddy experience. Greenghumb's AG was right on.

i've got an acapulco gold pheno out of his golden haze (ag/phz) that is very special. i'm very happy with it.

the doc was a complete prick to me over the phone. he wasn't just short with me. he was a total prick

i don't buy seeds. i buy genetics (in seed form). i don't think in terms of "popularity contest" when deciding what genetics to purchase. however, i will go elsewhere for equal genetics if possible due to his manner.

Don't know if you guys trashing him have ever even tried his strains butif u had u wouldn't be trashing him, as far as he only does s1s that's bullshit he made his endless sky, jazz, niagra, niagra shiva, grenadine, all from strains that people know very little about, and came up with some fire, his endless sky to date is the best I've ever smoked, unbelievable fruity floral taste like your in a field of exotic fruits and flowers, and it is just fire, best most complete high I've ever had and I lived in LA for 3 years with an actor and spent months in amsterdamn not including all the other strains I've tried from mr nice, gage, bodhi, hazeman, cannaventure connoisseur genetics, sin city, cannabiogenm all top breeders in the industry and believe me they have some great strains and a lot of them are right there with the endless and a lot of them were a lot better plants overall meaning out of ten beans you might get 3 or 4 keepers sometimes more where with his endless u might get 1 or 2 but that 1 is crazy and that's just that strain his s1s which people on the east coast or in non medical marijuana states can't get, and that being said ive yet to see a hermie from his fems or even a hermie report, I've done his uk cheese suicide cut its like a berry cheese flavor great Xmas tree like structure never a leaf covering a node, don't have to train or Scrog, after months of cure its more cheesey but always great and a great high, his trainwreck is crazy and a exact replica of the arcata clone only and out of ten I got all keepers some better than others but all great, his ghost og just fire, best rep of og I've had, only smoked it though, c99 cup winner what else to say very tasty and very potent, bubba katsu I hear is the tastiest smoke ever like eating a fruitier Juicy fruit gum from what I hear and very potent and purple too. His chem 4 is exactly like the clone huge yield great for commercial growers, and his other strains like jazz and dope both great didn't like oh zone, had trouble with the matanuska few non germs and the rest males but I heard great things, so overall he has great gear and genetics its too bad his prices are absurd but if u got the money the quality is there and from what I hear everyone should try his bubba katsu and I recommend anything above especially that endless sky keeper if u find it u have a treasure I promise

Just a few comments.....

1. Doc reported losing the mother of Endless Sky last year and basically started over with the strain. The newer seeds suck. There are numerous grows recently with the new beans with many complaints. Back in 2009, it was a great strain. Now, it's not. Who cares about a strain that was special 4 years ago. I could say the same thing about many strains i.e. White Russian, Northern Lights, some Skunks, etc. Doc doesn't even mention the strain in his recent advertising anymore, which says alot if you ask me!

2. It was also reported Doc paid $10K for the G13 strain clone, not $20K. He also stated he'd lower the price when he recouped his money, which hasn't happened yet. Total bullshit, if you ask me.

3. The G13 Nevil was selling at The Seed Bank was a hybrid (I think) with his Hash Plant. It was very good, but we are talking 1989.

Before saying anything chimeras schnazzleberry 2 is fire, I've haven't tried any of your other strains but from what I see your using a lot of DJs work so what makes you so different than any other breeder, as far as docs skills go, I can tell by the uniformity and consistency of his strains are excellent. He has unique and potent strains some he created using genetics no one hears about, and the end result is fire, his s1s are 2nd to none and have yet to see a hermie and b4 u say I'm doc or someone that was sent to this forum by doc ilk start out by saying his prices are sorta outrageous as far as the g13 and bubba go and some of his other strains are a little overpriced. Also I'm not someone who ran 1 or 2 of his strains, I've run his endless sky keeper phenos are harder to find in this strain, but I'd say u will find at least 2 keepers per 10 pack but when u get it ill will be the top plant in your garden hands down you will know it when u see, smell and smoke it, it's like your in a field of exotic fruits and flowers, his chem 4 I had 7 or 8 keepers out of a 10 pack, Cindy 99 serious, uk cheese suicide cut the perfect looking plant no lst or scrog needed, berryish cheesy taste, cheese comes out more the longer the cure, great high even a nice body high for a sativa Dom. Ghost og best og I've had had abusive, Joseph, underdawg, sfv's, fire, emerald, and a few more overall I like docs the best. Trainwreck just like the clone 10 for 10 keepers some better overall than others but all frosty as can be, oh zone didn't like but only did a pack, bubba katsu I hear is the tastiest shit ever from a few different people, potent too, yet to try that though, his jazz is nice, some blah phenos but I got a nice colorful citrusy pheno similar to pic on site, dope was high quality, didn't get great phenos the 1st pack 2nd was way better, top notch smoke, matanuska had some germ issues and a bunch of males but my cousins running a female now so we will see, sour d haven't run it myself but my cousin did and its just like the sour d we all know and love and my cousin popped 3 all keepers so far 1 pheno a 10 out of 10 the others were 9s, his big purps which no one bought I guess so he stopped selling was awesome, most unique smoke I've had, never tasted anything even close to the same and his flook juice which was ES x big purps was a light purple underneath layers and layers of thick trichs I had one pheno that I couldn't get enough of never cloned it such a mistake. Overall doc knows his shit and anyone who has actually tried his gear and not those ass wholes who are growing for the first or second time grow 1 pack make 4 seeds in the pack not germinate kill another and wind up with 5 that aren't the best phenos, then they trash doc cause they can't germ seeds, they don't use ph testers or there rooms are a mess and filthy, to me if you haven't tried 3 or 4 of his strains or any breeders strains u have no business trashing anyone.

I've had shit phenos from every breeder I've tried including mr nice mango haze, ssh, nl5 haze, nl5 skunk, I've had great phenos too, same with cannaventure, bodhi, gage, mota, hazeman, sin city are all breeders I use and all have top notch gear and still some phenos aren't half as good as others of the same strain does that mean they are hacks, no it's just the way things are in the seed game just the breeders I mentioned along with doc have more keepers per 10 than say Cali connect, or dna/ rp.

Greenthumb great breeder, crazy prices but worth it especially if you clone, if you clone and you ran ghost og, katsu, chem4, trainwreck, ecsd, endless sky, uk cheese suicide cut, exodus cut, bubba og from what I hear doc will probably wind up taking over part of your garden. For me ill always run some mr nice, bodhi, gage, hazeman, cannaventure and sin city but doc will always have a special place in my garden

one more thing.. I don't care how good the individual seed is, there is no traditional cannabis seed subject to the intricacies of sexual recombination, worth $100. Cannabis is simply too heterogeneous and variable for any seed produced via conventional means, to demand that price and guarantee the desired outcome.... certainly no S1 seed is worth that price tag. That type of pricing is gouging, and people willing to pay such for a seed are woefully manipulated by marketing hype, have money to throw away, or are just plain ignorant.

My $0.02,
-Chimera

Perfectly said.

That's just your individual experience. Mine has been completely the opposite and I know a lot of people who feel the same.
Out of an 18 pack of ssh I found nothing even worth smoking.

Out of a 6 pack of Headband by reserva privada I found this

and this

I really wanted to try the IAF(iranian autoflower) for a really long time, it can be cloned and kept as a mother under 24h hours of light and will autoflower once the light regimen is reduced. Intresting option for outdoor grows..

But as i did some heavy research on the net, i found out that there was a new account with 2-3 posts made on basicly every site related to an IAF post or review claming that this strain was the holy grail and what not. Im not saying its the breeder himself but who else would it be? .....

that + the ridiculous prices has kept me away from trying any of his gear.

He seems to be a good breeder for sure nonetheless.

He's a good breeder, and the iranian auto is great. I grew it a few years ago and it performed awesomely at 44 deg latitude.

The iranian crosses are also great. The Iranian chemdawg has been the staple of my garden. It's the only strain I've kept. Every other strain has gone by the wayside.

Honestly it's become kind of a staple around my way and it's the only strain that people consistently ask me for, due to the amazing and pungent chemdawg funk. Believe it or not there's been an extensive waiting list for the "IC" quite a number of times during the drying/curing period.

Here she is @ 9-10 weeks, right before the chop.

It is well known that Dr. GreenThumb has a team of internet shills that go on site after site attacking anyone who states anything critical about their seeds. I did an Endless Sky grow, which was my worse grow in 20 years- documenting it every couple days along side of some other strains by others. It grew fine, but never finished properly and was cut around 10 weeks- it was supposed to be a 6-8 week strain. Nobody wanted to smoke it- tasted terrible, light buzz, smelled like hay, etc. For the price, the worst seeds I ever purchased. A moderator on here was also growing it and had the exact same experience as I and called Dr. about it- where he then admitted and the mod reported- that he lost the mother and was basically starting over with the strain. Then the attacks started- site by site- claiming I was a novice grower, etc., etc. I showed multiple pic's of other things I had just cut and were wonderful- only his hay turned out poorly. For this reason alone, I would never buy another thing from him. But I try to be fair and say I'm sure some of his stuff is good, but a lot of his offerings are not. Very hit and miss, I guess.

There are more bad grows of IAF on the net then good ones. Some people like it, but most of the research I've done are complainers that had bad success with it. If your looking for auto's, I think Sweet Seeds is a leader with those and everyone should consider any of their auto's for great strains.

You're right I got tons of endless that I didn't like or no one like what I was saying about that strain in particular is if you find that pheno you will never let it go, now I was lucky enough to get it a 3 or 4 times in a couple of ten packs one reg pack and one fem pack but stupid enough t not clone it and its the one strain that if I could go back in time and pick one to clone out of everything I've done it would be that endless, and I'm not sure what ssh u had but mr nice ssh is fire and I can't imagine striking out on an 18 pack because I had 3 that were perfect all around and another 4 or 5 that weren't as good but still fire. And as I said before his chem 4 is fire and a huge yielder biggest I've had to date as you can see above in the Iranian x chem cross great job eastbeast I might have to check that out

How's the taste on the Iranian x chem 4 and potency, I'm sure yield was nice as the chem 4 is a serious yielder

Thanks Blis,

The cut I run is very chem dominant. The high is very sativa-like, as are some of the growth traits; stretch, lengthier flowering time, etc.

Out of all 11 seeds that germed, they all had the chem/diesel stink and taste. Some were a little more stout and had a little more leaf to em from the Iranian side of the cross.

The one I'm running has EXTREME chem stink that fully translates to the taste/smoke. A very close friend who I gifted a cutting calls it "the carbon filter killer". You want to be legal when you're running this one.

I have yet to run it outdoors. I'm curious if the autoflowering traits carried over into my cut, which would be pretty cool.

The original endless sky was beyond overwhelming in potency. It was bitch to grow, too damned finicky. It took me a long time to figure out what it needed.....dolemite lime, sandy soil and fish emulsion. I crossed it to a pungent, garlicky afghani chemdog hybrid. The end result was outstanding!!
