I definitely notice the further prices drop, the less work the growers put into the product. That might explain unflushed and uncured product

Couldnt agree more, the less they get it seems the less they care. IMO thats bullshit, you should always strive to be the best and create the best, no matter what you get for it...the fact that you grew it and your reputation goes with that grow, id say it's best to put your best bud forward...

Shit a buddy of mine gets Cali bud over in N.J. its always alternates between strains for 32 nad zips of that Ear wax for 325 witch I dont understand cause that stuff is not cheap to make

yea most of calis best gets shipped out. rarely it stays in CA, mostly because the local smokers are so used to cheap 200 dollar ounces that they dont want to pay higher no matter how good it is. 250 is the most you can really squeeze out of most folks these days in norcal for the best of the best....i got a friend who does alot of breakdown, sort of an informal club of sorts in SF, was hanging out over there last week and saw a handful of customers come through, every single one bought greenhouse sour/OG for 140-150 an oz range, alot of 80-100 dollar halfs of greenhouse...most folks passed on the higher priced indoor at 200-240..

AMEN AND HALLELUJAH..truth has been spoken!

Props post just reaffirms, imo at least, that the economy is starting to have a bigger influence on this industry....something that was hard to say not that long ago...

truth.....i know a commercial cash cropper who just had some cookies ready for sale....they looked pretty nice but he said they were speed cured and only picked less than a week ago, so the smell was slacking. i told him if he cured them an extra week properly i could get 26-27 for them easily...but he didnt care. told me he would take 23 this week because he doesnt care to wait longer.....so yeah some folks dont give a shit about having top notch quality they just need $$$ fast...

and 325 for wax on the east coast is insanely cheap...the stuff is time consuming to make and very risky even in CA its a seperate felony for hash on top of whatever weed shit, lowest sentence for felony hash is 5 years probation if youre lucky, no jailtime but still a pain in the ass and a fat F on your record.....id figure at least 600 back east. if its only 325 i bet its barely even purged or its made with old OD trim.....

lol shit I heard just a pound of trim goes for $250, and peeps getting wax for $325? Crazy?? I have been told a lb of trim will make about an oz of wax?

being from Canada, I find this all very interesting..and the fact that people are surprised the best top shelf nugs are being sold elsewhere...is quite funny...this has been going on in Vancouver and the west coast of Canada for decades..

Rule of thumb...quality goes where the money is...Period...end of story

and it seems what has happened in Cali, is supply has shot way above demand...

I guess, being legal ain't so good

Personally, I am happy so many people are getting into growing and throwing around this bunk. It will make our top shelf stand out that much more. OD will get cheaper and indoor will stay flat for awhile. Supply and Quality supply aren't the same thing. There will always be room for both as a lot of smokers still want the top shelf.

Saw some last year outdoor nitro packed wifi for 22 the other day on the hill, they got swooped up immediately.

Here in Canada I'm finding the bunk and mids are driving down the price for high end. I grow boutique, it still goes....and goes first, but for a few bucks less, as the flood is bringing the average market price down. Top dollar ain't what it used to be round here.

Let my garbage go for 13 the other day, glad I waited. Hoping to see 18 to 22 soon for my nitrogen preserved AAAs that have been mistaken for ins by multiple people.

can anyone direct me to an explanation on how to nitrogen preserve a crop? A quick search didn't turn up anything useful. I presume this is the most efficient way to store meds long-term?

I could explain my methane technique.
It involves tacos, zip lock bags, and a short length of hose.:moon:
