thats some terrible law making right there for sure....basically shutting out 99% of pot smokers from ever being able to make a legal buck running their own medical cannabis..the industry will be hijacked by mega millionaire corporations and investment banking firms....they will employ low wage labor to do all the agriculture work..

such BS...there isnt any kind of fees for growing winegrapes or hops to make alcohol products with...alcohol licenses to brew your own beer or wine arent anywhere near 500k...

Yes4prop, I am on the same mindset as you, its a damn shame too this industry could really help out with unemployment, more tax revenue, and the chance for new entrepreneurs to be successful in a wide variety of ways.

Lol, ya I cracked up laughing when I first opened the evaporater.. Damn near 8' long! And about them, yields.. Yup yup, my biggest weight was coming from my second flower room, where I had the 2x vert cool tube & 1k overhead on a short mover.. So with all verts, no glass, better plant placement, and better cooling I should see things go up.

The amount of 6", 8", and 12" fans I was using for my main trunk and branch lines is almost equal to the amount of power my split pulls.... Now I just got a truck load of hoods & fans

They cannot charge you with distribution for passing a joint to someone in public. Even in front of a cop.

It's been law since 2011 that the smell of cannabis is not enough of a reason to justify a search.

If you think that was just recently passed then you've been living for 2 years with a completely false sense of what your rights are.

Many of the cases involving small amounts of cannabis possession have something in common... the people involved didn't know their rights and allowed warrantless searches of their car or their backpacks.

If more people knew their rights and exercised them, we wouldn't see so many cops trying to pull one over on people. Or at least they might not give those of us that do such a hard time about "being difficult." Just because a bunch of dumb shits roll over out of ignorance and fear doesn't mean we all have to.

What was recently decided was that if you pass a joint or a bowl to another person it cannot be considered distribution of a controlled substance. It's not a criminal offense to smoke a joint anymore, it's a civil.

Also, since passing a joint is not a crime, it cannot be used as a reason for searching a vehicle, a bag or anything else in your possession.

Where I live we have Park Rangers and local police.When you are on park property the law is totally different, although even if you have a bag with 2oz they'll take it and give you a $100 ticket.I was surprised to see this happen a few times recently.It's funny if you park at the beach in the back of the lot, you'll come back to find the rangers digging through your vehicle.They told me that "lots of people go missing or commit suicide around here so we have to check vehicles suspiciously parked".They also say they are looking for guns because people like to shoot the turkeys!!! I never travel with cannabis on me, I keep it at home.

Slip .... That to me sounds like rent -a-cops ..... Anything found in an illegal search is useless ..... And if they even think they have the right to search a vehicle because of where it's parked they are .... RONG .... yes I spelled that wrong just to make the point ...... It tales 24hrs to fill a missing persons case so unless the car has a BOLO or is not moved after 24hrs then they MAY have reasonable cause to search .... But even w a BOLO on a vehicle they still need a warrant.

Well, they do it!!I know these guys who parked on a dirt road by the beach to go surfing and came back to find their cars contents all over the ground, which included the 2oz I mentioned above and they had to pay the fine.I honestly don't know the law but the rangers have a wide authority within the park.In the summer time when the surf is high from a hurricane or some such they close the beaches and entering the water will get you arrested, I swear!! I guess maybe nobody wants to go to the federal court or, geez, I don't know. You think I would know better but all I know is I don't go over there with even a tiny roach. They have speed traps galore but hey, you can drink beer on the beach!!Many of the rangers are only stationed here for a yr or two then move on, many are huge dicks.I've only seen one person arrested and that was a man openly molesting his daughter on a crowded beach, it was surreal...

Yeah, I don't doubt that they do act differently on park property. I keep my distance from Rangers, EPA, and the like. Those guys are a whale of a different color in both attitude and latitude. They can hit you with some far fetched penalty you didn't even know existed.

Anything found in an illegal search can be thrown out but the reality of it isn't so cut and dry. Location matters, for one. But also if for no other reason than because the friction involved in having to go to court and fight it. It's not as easy as saying to the cop on the scene "this is an illegal search so I am free to go!" If only.

Yeah Ras I wish it were so cut and dry ..... Only one time have I had 5-0 try to do an unconsented search ..... I told him I neither deny nor give permission for a search of my locked vehicle (not saying no and not saying yes .... Had a chill state trooper for my driving instructor so he taught all kinds of tricks lol)... If you want to search it you can get a warrant ... But without one it will be an illegal search...... Needless to say I got a ticket for a BS reason but better than the bud in the car ...... They won't even waste their time or a judges time to get a warrant over something so small .... If they friend suspect high volume then they may wait for a warrant

A little side note ... Park rangers are not dubbed "Police Officers" where as they are actually considered "peace officers" but with the same powers as a town/local cop ..... Same powers means they have to follow the same rules .... But obviously they don't because they have a mall security complex .... Gotta make up for what's lacking. With all the new laws Mass is passing/passed it will be much more difficult for them to get away with these types of actions ..... All we have to do is stand up to them and make sure they know that we know our rights ..... Cause in the end the higher powers can toss out any evidence and tickets done wrongfully ..... Thank You for that input RAS. This is exactly why I posted this. Incase someone didnt know their rights and just let the police search the vehicle and make you pop your trunk and stuff.

2 years ago, right after they passed this law in 2011, I had 2 top colas in 2 seperate jars I was bringing to a patients house so he could try both of them and see which was better for his PTSD and nerve pain.
I got pulled over for nothing. Just a random stop for 0 reason other than the cop felt like it.
My eyes were white from eyedrops.
No smell of MJ because it was in jars.

Still... he asked me to search my vehicle and I refused.

The cop got sooo mad he turned red in his face, went to the police car and got a small bag of schwag weed, and said if I didnt let him take a look, that he would say that weed was mine and would say the car smelled like weed and that if I didnt allow the search, he said he would have my car towed to the police station until they scored a warrent to search.
He said if he found a small amount of weed now, he would let me go no problems. If they found weed, even a small amount, after refusing the search and getting a warrent they would charge me for 2 ounces he would plant in there that he had in the trunk of his car!
He showed me the 2 ounces and said it was my choice. MY CHOICE?!? Assh*le!!!
I reluctantly and saddly/angrily had to say ok. I really had 0 choice. He took the 2 colas and let me go luckily.
Cops got a way around everything. I hate them! Not all... most.
