this story hits close to home, I was close friends w/one of the sons (Doug) of the Margolies. Known as the 'CBS Murders' in NY as 3 innocent CBS employees were executed in a botched murder for hire plot involving Irwin & Madeline Margolies in a diamond & cash embezzling scam.

Doug moved from a big mansion in Scarsdale to a tiny boarding house room in Thornwood NY, I visited him @ that room a few times and it was as small as a single person holding cell, shared bathroom in the hall. Doug prevailed & took a job in the bar I worked @, his brother Steve however turned to crime.
