Hey what strain is that above? and how u rate the diamond reflector?

arriba staiva! lol

arriba sativa ,was my name at vibes collective lol.The purpling picture is just some random bagseed.I enjoy the journey of the unknown!i prefer the grostar for sog or scrop to the diamond but they do a decent and better job for trees.Depends how i grow and what i grow i suppose mate.

Hi Lex,sadly my mate being a paranoid ,forgetful stoner, through away all his spare clones.I managed to get three unrooted untrialled lsd cuts though.Better than nothing.I'm going to flower the seedlings pretty much next week and i will use natural sunlight ,during the boxes dark period to keep the clones in veg.So any clones will get 12 hours t5 light and the rest of the day natural sunlight. So crop times will be completely random!chop and change constantly is the plan.I can get the nl 5 x haze if i pursue it but i get a bit tired asking sometimes lol.The seedlings being put into flowering light cycle next week are 5 x sweet pink grapefruit xswaziland redxmango and a few random uk collected bagseeds for the hell of it.

had a minor problem with heat issues ,especially when i fired up all 8 bulbs....was running close to 38 c!haha.A combination of too many angles in the ducting [i know it was mentioned earlier but i expected the 4 inch inline to be much more efficient than it is]and the small filter being too low and not having enough surface area. So,i had to unwire everything ,take all the rockwool out, smash my way through layer upon layer, dig out my fan embedded in expandable foam, redo the ducting and i basically screw fixed the fan with a layer of foam to the lid of my box[not ideal ,i will fit a shelf at some point and sit on foam and re surround it],take off the tiny filter[for now that's cool as little to no smell on my seedlings]and try put everything back together....Monumental pain in the arse!however, essential, and worth it...ambient temps are around 21 and 6 inches under the light unit[had it far too close before] is topping out at 28 c.The light is much more powerful that i imagined, which is a good ting mon!Made a right mess but fuck it ,lol.

i've decided to veg my seedling until pre-flower and just be patient ,then i will fit a scrog screen and go that route.

back to growing,i will update with plant pictures once they have grown some.I will top them super early tomorrow [sativa dominant]and start training and bending once they get through slight stunt.

only other slight tweak needed is an extra hinge on the main door as the mdf has warped a touch.Minor glitches and snags on this prototype that i have solved.Panic over.

loving the fox tailing on those buds man!! looks amazing. keep it green. Peace

FThe picture with the fox-tailing is old timer haze crossed with o.g kush. All the phenotypes had sativa structure and smoked and tasted like the og,with a soaring sativa high.I can access more seeds but that would grow right through my box ,lol.Good hybrid ,grew like monsters too, hybrid vigour.Old timer on its own is not bad ,but not great, crossed it seems to improve almost anything.Finding an old timer male is not easy and you have to try ten seeds to get two to germinate, heavily inbred,so can be a nightmare but worth the wait.

all the best,Spirit

ok ,did a few further tweaks.I fixed four strategic shelving brackets to the wall above the intake and attached two fans, for further air movement and taking the heat away from the bulbs.I angled my unit one chain notch and it seems to have made all the difference.I also put the extractor on the outside of the box,not ideal, but clears space and positioned for max air flow, and seems to be working fine. The seedlings have been topped and a little stressed from that and the excess heat, but that should be a thing of the past now and it is essential they stay low as i have limited grow space and especially height. The screen can wait until clones, seedlings have been vegged to decent spread and the seedlings sexed.

Hopefully no more hitches, all part of the fun.:woohoo:

ffs!temps are running at 24 c with 4 bulbs on 24/7,and 34 c with 8 bulbs on!For now ,before i stress the plants further i will remain on 4 bulbs ,while everything is small.

Plan of action, will be,to install another 4 inch extractor that will only be in use on lights on and i will attach 8 inch of ducting that will attach to the side of my light fixture ,to work as a hoover at the source....Or ,i could buy a 6 inch fan that clears almost double the amount with two reducers to fit existing set up...decisions decisions.

Things are chugging along ok now just on 4 bulbs.Next week at some point i will take the 4 inch [200 m3 /m] out and the small 200 m3/m filter and save them for an filtered intake on a small mum and clones room[fuck it, may aswell make another cab].On friday i will order a 6 inch temperature monitoring and adjusting fan with in built fan controller and probe for grow room[552 m3/m],along with a 6 inch 600 ml silencer attachment, and 6 inch 600 ml filter.
That will solve any heat issues, complete overkill !!environment and ideal grow conditions are more important than money haha.I spoil my babies and prototype.

i wanted to go scrog but it is not practical starting from different strains and seeds,so i will just top train the plants a bit that i have and do a sog at one end of box with plenty of seeds to fill the space faster and have lots of options ,in selection , for mothers.
to be continued.......

cheers amigo.Alot of pissing about ,i know, but should be worth it in the end.

Today i ,topped/cloned ,labelled and started training the spgxmangoxswazi red plants.Looks brutal but i plan on keeping them as low as i can, without a screen.I would love to do a scrog this time round, but i cannot predict the stretch on any of these seeds until they are flowered out and i will not know sex till preflower,so i will just keep bending and training until i have a good low canopy. Two weeks more veg with 4 bulbs ,then one week veg with 8 bulbs[once new extraction system installed],so will flower them in 3 weeks time, approximately.

Next grow i plan on a 6 plant mini scrog ,but i'm just concentrating on dialing in the box for now ,finding good keepers, and filling up my empty stash.

I will be back to update in two weeks ,with all 8 bulbs on,extraction dialed in and mini bushes hopefully.

the seedlings in the trays are outdoor seeds i planted in the ready for outdoor growing.

peace
