i went on a bit of a cloning rampage for the last couple months, 10 72cells, in order to get rent paid and constantly thought about how to setup an easy watering system.

my best idea was using regular cloning trays as flood tables for the 72cell trays, just gotta install drains and get the timing on point.

any flood system would probably be easiest for lots of tiny little plants that are always being checked on and are at different stages. ball valve on each one so when you're tryin to get newer clones to dry out they don't get anything...

This definitely interests me. I get 6-8 bucks per, and whatever doesn't sell in cubes, I transplant and sell as teens for twice as much.
My concern is the root riot cubes are like sponges, and flood and drain would likely keep them too moist, and slowing the rooting process down. Did you get a chance to fiddle, or just thoughts?
Each tray is worth 3-400 bucks times 8 at a time... Yeah, let's automate that shit...

it was all thoughts, i dropped back down below 99 after rent was paid but it seemed like a fairly simple setup to build.

i used the tiny rockwool cubes, never used root riots but i've never attempted to keep any sort of constant moisture level. i would just drop the cell trays into a flooded regular tray for 30sec til they were all saturated and then put it back on the shelf. only took 10min a day including mixing food, but none the less automation is the tits.

now that you've got me thinking, i'd probably build some 3" high, 2ft deep and 8ft wide pondliner tables to flood. 4 of them staggered 4 days apart... 16 trays on each. each table has its own res and schedule. 12 days to root and 4 days of food to get em nice and green.

LOL at $5 a pop that's 5,760 every 4 days. holy shit. from just a 4'x8' room.... assuming you've got them all stacked.

i wonder much wattage you'd need in the mother room to produce for a cloning room like that...

yeah pond liner flood tables on different schedules... i like that.

I would probably need to re answer when I am not medicated, and about to pass out...
The way I have it set up now, I could have a total of 16 trays at a time, 8 fresh, and 8 hardening off. But, with trays being moved, there is likely to be a tray or two missing. So I would say 6 trays constant, with a value of $300 per, giving you close to 2k in constant revenue...
It's been a while since I had to do revenue projections as a Project Manager, but it may be time to dust off some of the old spreadsheets...

Flower set on the HK#1 room is a little behind due to cold temps. I need to seal up the lung room and throw in a radiator heater on a timer.

My closet is humming along. Checked my dates, and I am at 4 weeks completed, fuck me if I lost a week somewhere, too damn busy. The Chem's Sisters are starting to stink! The USD is the dominant smell right now, but I am getting a garlic undertone now. Doesn't sound very tasty, but they won't be smoked at the same time lol...

Now that stretch is over, I will be adjusting the bulbs.
As a general rule you keep the bottom of the bulb at to top of the canopy, and then drop the bulb to where the top of the bulb socket is at the top if the canopy.
