Fucking Irresponsible Dog Owners...

Dogs pick up negative energy from people. I usually find that people with calm well intentioned energy get along fine with dogs. Often people who get attacked show a sense of unsureness which makes a dog confused and can lead to aggression.
I know it sucks getting bit,but it's a real dick move to involve the cops. You could really fuck up that persons life.
I raised my dog off leash and he sometimes runs up to people in the forest or on the beach. Anyone who is cool with dogs usually smiles, people who are naturally nervous around dogs sometimes flinch and it can lead to him barking or jumping up on someone.
Either way please think about what your doing before calling the cops. Handle your own shit.
Imagine if someone had their dog taken away because of you. Dogs are no different than another family member.
Neg karma for sure.

Dogs pick up on movement 1st. If you are running..many will chase. I always stop and face them off...but if they come in...

It's the owner's fault at all times...but that means squat when you are being mauled....even worse is when there are multiple dogs.

handle my own shit...yup. karma? come on.

the time to stand up and do what you feel is right is here, follow your gut

next, the politicians...

hahahaha.. I would shoot George Fucking Washington if he ran up and bit me in the hand. :ying: I live in a county of California where the local Sheriff is a hell hound with fangs and claws. He drops out CCWs like candy to children. Guess what, the crime in this area is VERY low. The bad guys know the good guys have`em. ;)

I have two pit bulls. I would leave the country before I let someone put one down for biting. With that said, through training and extreme training I make sure that will never happen. Now if someone breaks into my house or car that is their ass. But when we walk in the open, without leashes I am very much in control of them. The lucky thing about my big boy is that he hasn't the energy to run too far away from me. The lucky thing about the pup is that he follows the big boy the whole time.

I love my doggies.. In this corner, 2x Presa Canario.. The male is 29" at the shoulders, the female is 25" at the shoulders - for a combined total of 284lbs. In case you are wondering, 50lbs of dog food per week.

If my dog/s bit someone who was not assaulting me or on my property, I would put him to sleep myself. ..I put his mother to sleep for it. She was 3 years old, she escaped the yard/fence/electric/check point charlie and attacked farm animals and other dogs many times. She caused a 2000$ vet bill to my neighbor because she kicked the asses of 2 pitbulls, killed chickens, and assaulted a person trying to protect their farm. I took the logical step instead of being a fucking idiot who lets an aggressive dog run my life, I had her executed. I felt bad but I knew it needed to be done, I still feel bad even if it was 8 years ago. I remember every moment of the day like it happened only hours ago. Her last meal was 8 double quarter-pounders with cheese. I looked her in the eye after feeding her each one, not too fast. I took her for a walk and turned her over to Animal Control and signed the euthanization orders. It makes me sad but it needed to be done, nobody (good person) wanted her and she was a danger to others.

Animal control had addressed the issue a few times but never gave me a formal warning or summons. It might sound cruel but my animals have all the freedom to build their kingdom IF they follow my rules. If I shout the command to stop and drop and they refuse and bite someone, penalty = death. NO EXCEPTIONs.

Regarding the Bite laws.. Usually they will issue a red-flag warning to a dog which attacks other dogs or has bit a person. 1 or 2 warning is all you get before they are serious. IDK.. If a stray dog bit my child, I would shoot the dog then and there. The owner should be wise and refuse to protest. Call the police.

responsibility is the key

dog owners need to take their lumps if they are lacking in the safeguarding of others when their babies are out of the bounds of "home"

props to all who love their pets enough to prevent harm to others when exercising them, the rest are fair game

Yes this is right. I have been bitten whilst jogging by a Golden Retriever had to get tetanus etc. This was in the town in middle of a residential area. The dopey woman didnt even care that the dog was off leash. Didnt even apologise.

I also walk my dog in forest etc and go hiking with the dog.But whilst the dog is off leash I always put the lead on if i see people coming ( pretty rare). Problem today is most people are fckwits when it comes to dogs , dont have them under control , no basic training for recall etc.

However the city I come from in the UK; you are more likely to be bitten by a person than a dog..thats the truth man.....:tiphat:

Always Always Always on the owner. Just reading this thread...I can tell some owners don't get it. It's their responsibility...they can not expect other people to understand them or their dogs. You have a dog off its leash..no matter what...you are responsible to what happens with that dog. Good or bad. Don't blame the guy who is defending himself...from your poor judgement. If your dog gets killed..you killed it

I own 2 pits...and they don't run loose. They are on a leash or behind a door or fence. That's for their safety and any bystanders safety. That's how it has to be. Take your dog off a leash...you take your chances.

Getting chased or attacked by dogs is...in no way...the fault of the bystander person. No way.

You people who want to rationalize with a strange and charging dog...are full of shit. You'll get hurt. Sending you good vibes puppy..for fucks sake...that's crazy talk. When one of those things gets a hold of you...you'll be singing a different tune. Law of the jungle...best beware

California dog owners automatically have the burden of 100% liability. Automatic loss in court cases.

The guy who suggested pepper spray has the right idea. No permanent damage but it's a good way to just say no.

People need to understand the seriousness of dogs, especially large and aggressive breeds.

I took this quote from my previous post. I hope some people understand it clearly before anything stupid and more terrible happens.

~ "I took the logical step instead of being a fucking idiot who lets an aggressive dog run my life, I had her executed." ~

My dogs listen to my command. When it comes to people they seem to usually want to pet my dogs.

The problem is with Other Dogs. I don't want my dog killing another dog, and that could happen. I can control my dogs around people, but other dogs is harder.

What I do is put leashes on my dogs and let them run with me in areas that are open. But if I see another dog I yell for them to Stop and I rarely have to say that more than two times. Once they stop I run up and gather the leash again until the other dog is clear away.

I only think my dog (the big boy) would bite someone if they entered my home, car, tent or hotel and were not dissuaded by his loud growling bark. He has a very intimidating tone. He only uses that tone when someone he doesn't know violates his space (house, yard, car, tent, hotel room etc). In public he show kindness to most people out of training. That is a problem sometimes but I have a key word I can use to get him to warn a stranger on the street. If some stranger comes up to me in the city and I say bad dog my dogs hair raises and he assume an aggressive posture. If he person comes closer my dog will pull the leash and even stand up with progressively louder barks. A person would have to be nuts to come close enough to be bitten, seriously. I am training the pup the same way, but so far the pup has zero aggression towards people. That will come in time.

i have 2 over 100lb akitas. i always keep them leashed. not because i fear them hurting someone/something, but so i can be close enough to kick that LITTLE snappy, yiping POS lap dog that people let run around unleashed. these fucking idiots that think, 'well my dog is so small, it can't hurt anyone' should just think a little bit. you know how many times we're walking our dogs in the park or hiking trail and here comes a little dog shit sized dog barking and growling at me and/or my dogs. they come over and threaten us, my dogs are not going to put up with threats against me or them. next, i try to keep my dogs away from their POS, while they come running up yelling at me. like i did something wrong. i ususally tell them 'if they'd like, i can not protect their dog and just let my dogs loose too' then they cuss at me or call me some name, i tell them to Fuck Off and they better hope we don't run into their unleashed dog again. because that little dog will go flying...
sorry about your hand dave. but sheeple are fucking idiots.
i hate people, people are the worst...

My dog and I were attacked while walking on a remote beach about a year ago. I had her on a long leash, about 20 feet and suddenly a large PB came running out of nowhere and charged my dog. My dog wasnt one to back down from a fight but I didnt want her hurt so I pulled her close to me and had her sit between my legs as the PB ran circles around us trying to get a position for an attack from the rear. Just as I was about to draw down on the PB it's owner came waddling around the corner. She was a "large " woman and couldnt catch her dog as it circled us trying to bite me and my dog. I told her she had about 5 seconds to get ahold of her dog before I put a .40 slug between it's eyes.
Luckily she did get hold of it and then proceeded to berate me for considering shooting it. I reminded her there is a leash law here and I would be well within my rights to plug her ugly mutt for attacking .
Her attitude wasnt very accommodating so I told her that I intended to call the dog officer and make them aware of this dog and the danger it represented if for no other reason than to document the incident should something happen in the future, which I did.
Stupid dog owner. I left thinking she needed a bullet more than her dog did.

cm....I have a large dog..a Bernese Mountain Dog a male..hes a gentle giant..really soft to people and dogs..and yes you get these dimwits allowing their completely untrained unleashed little terrier to snap at his heels, bite his back, and then they laugh think its hilarious. Sometimes I feel like sayin why dont you fckin train your dog you morons. Theres an american dog trainer (cant recall his name now) he use to train dogs for Us military and police, does schutzhund training, He says to politely warn other dig owners who do this to put their dog on a leash and go away. Problem today is people are so full of 'entitlement' that you cant say anything to people....youre infringing some obscure right they think they have in their peanut brain.....
