Better yet lets talk about what happens when said kid gets busted buying weed from said dealer because you were sheltering him from weed. Talk to a high schooler or middle schooler they all have friends who smoke and they all get exposed to it.

If the best you can provide is the "well, it's not AS bad..." argument, I think we're finished here.

kids r over- rated.....

Wow kids are overrated? So that makes you the same, doesn't it? Nothing is more important to me than my kids. Not hating, but geez get some perspective on life. They learn the most from us.

It seems like the mom might be involved somehow. This whole thread only 1 person suspected the kids might just want to live with a mom that will let them get away with murder. They called the cops on there dad who apparently had custody of the 2 children? It is hard for a father to get custody of his kids in a place like Utah or any state in America for that matter. Where the kids taken away from the mother for some reason? If so that dude would of had a pretty vengeful craazyex and a lot of past baby mama drama.

They say if one parent teaches there children that they don't have to listen to or obey the other parent, at some point in time they are likely to turn on both parents then they have no need to listen to anyone at all. They will then turn on society, the cops, judges, and in the end all of us because they where not brought up knowing the importance of loving and respecting both parents.

That being said it sounds like he got into a lot of drama and is going to have to put in a lot of time and effort into fixing his relationship with his kids. A lot of dads are bailing out on there families first chance they get. I prey they have what it takes to come out on top and make good of all that mess.

What ever does not kill us, right?

This is something I worry about with my child starting school next year. They are so one track minded at school when it comes to drugs it is unbelievable. As a teacher I know first hand about the hypocrisy. Health teachers in my school are some of the biggest tokers, yet they preach to the little ones how bad drugs are and how they ruin lives. They encourage the students to report their parents if they even "suspect" drug use. God bless america right!!!

Home schooling. Best damn thing you and your child can do.
Tough to do if you can't afford the time though....

Kids really respond to actually being 'raised' by parents that are around all the time. Home-Schooling brings all that wasted school time into the house between you two. Great stuff!

Remember... your child is being raised to be an average of the people they spend the most time around. In the average home these days.... that's your school and/or daycare.

My child is a freaking angel and everyone that comes in contact with her shows surprise at her behavior and intelligence. She's a striking contrast to kids these days and the kids I've been around throughout my lifetime.

Both of her parents have been home nearly every day of her life now.... can't even begin to tell you how much of a difference that makes.

this is very sad. they send pigs into the class room by the time your children are in 3rd grade. they feed them lies and disinformation and encourage them to rat on family members. they do this each year until your children are in jr high.

Its taken me the last year or so when you blasted me on my nobody is to stoned to drive stance till now to relize you are a fucking retard. Weed is harmless fuck nuts. You may be a cop.
because anyone who uses weed would never take a hardline stance....Unless u are a cop. Drunk gives courage stoned gives caution.

I have to respectfully disagree! At what point do we take the hardline stance? Or do we just roll over and spark up a joint and say fuck it when the Gov't runs roughshod over us?
At a certain point the people HAVE to stand up and say enough is enough, do not "indoctrinate" our children with your agenda. Schools are for learning academics, NOT political agendas. It's the NOT taking a stance where we lost control over the schools, and our rights to raise our kids as WE see fit, and with OUR moral values, not the governments view of morality.

Just sayin'

just so you know.

The ex wife told the kids to do this - having read that from someone familiar w/ the case.

sounds quite probable.

I had good parents. I saw a couple things i shouldn't have(pot on a plate.) Never once even as an ignorant child did I think of ratting at school. Though young at that age I knew their propaganda just not the name for it.
I hope the man forgave his kids and they learned some loyalty.
Sad in general especially if the ex used the kids as pawns, sad.

Colorado has dropped cannabis from the D.A.R.E. program in the schools.

Just in time for Amendment 64 too! :)

Vote with your dollars and move to Colorado... we'll leave the light on for ya! :D

I've always been interested in home schooling my kids when the day comes.. But I guess I have always worried it may affect their sociability since their not surrounded by their peers everyday?? What are your thoughts on this?

This story and everyone's posts made me think of that South Park episode where all the kids called the cops and said they got "molestered" by their parents and took over the town lol..
