I like nerding out and fucking with stuff though so it might be right up my alley. I just don't ever have the coin to drop on all new gear and nutes and whatnot. Not to mention the new onslaught of shit to read up on so as to not murder my broads right out the gate.

Style doesn't suit me, but the intention is there. This jackass brought some bathtub gin and Zima, basically.

But he does grow some seriously cool tall screen-fastened trees, so i AM okay with that.

ichy, f'real, just go to the corner and grab us a 12-pack of some sierra nevada.

I'll roll a hooter of some Nightmare while you're out, .. Hurry back please. :)

Dude relax I don't drink. I asked the guy laying on the side walk what was good to drink, and you are worth the effort to get the best. So I got it for you.

I'm researching LEDs, and that shit's scary enough.. :yoinks:

Are you sure you even asked him what's good? I feel like you just took whatever he had.

You bought him a 6 pack... and you bought me spotted dick? You're fucked up.

Trust me - mine's worth spotted dick, or worse

It wasn't even a six pack. It was only a four and a half pack and two half full bottles of wine.

Sorry about not getting the cap for one bottle it was in the hobo's hand on the other side of him. Who new drunk hobo's could run like that?

If you have a lot of them, its a good indication of keepingyour plants too moist

Hey jbg! :tiphat: Thanks so much for chiming in. However, you've essentially stated the only two truths I've come to understand about 'em. :)

My Golden Goat pot is TEEMING with the little guys. When I made the moisture connection a while back, I dialed the blumats back a little bit. Didn't seem to have any real impact on the number of springtails..

..and when I say teeming, .. I mean, .. Imagine staring at the surface of the soil, .. And once your eyes focus in at the tiny level, these critters are just allllll over the place. Almost like looking at a dusty table on LSD Just tickatickatickatickatickaticka running all over the place

Edit again: From the article:

In moist soils with high amounts of organic matter, tremendous numbers may be present—thousands per square foot.

Yep. That's me.

I read several articles on tem and with the exception of a couple of species, they do not harm the planrts, bit can actually help them as they eat dead material, and fungus metaboilzing them into useable nutrients. Helps to erradicated dampoff and actually are transporters of mycorhisae(spelling) that helps plants. They recommend allowing plants to dry out as much as possible between wayerings and dont oversoqk soil which wont allow them to reprodduce as quickly and will reduce populatins in time. May not kill active populations cause you dont want th to dry oute ough to harm plants. If you dont mind thm though i say just leave them alone. Probably got themfrom the promix. Thats how i always got them when i had them

Good call. I've never been too sketched about their presence, but it's at the front of my brain sometimes more than others. I've not noticed any negative effects, but..

With all the grief I see root aphids causing folks, it sketches me a little just to see anything tickatickatickatickin' down there. :) I know they're harmless (and beneficial), but still sketches me sometimes.. :)

Silver - To further put your mind at ease I had what seemed like thousands of the little fuckers crawling around in my big garden a couple years ago. I freaked just like you, then learned they don't hurt anything so I left em be. Seem to have dissappeared these days, but no harm ever came from them.

It's funny - I've been aware of their presence for sooooome time - literally, runs, .. And I definitely went through the "HOLY FUCK ZOMG WTF," on the initial discovery..

Did some reading.. Lookin', .. Readin', .. Lookin', .. and finally figured I'm all set.

But, like I said - from time to time, I wonder if I'm not a little too complacent with these little critters. :)

Anxiety - is there anything it CAN'T do?
