I'll find a better way than tape to block the holes on top ... but i think these are gonna work out great for these pots :)

Sorry for muckin up the thread with this ... if the mods want to delete it .... thats fine . :)

Not gonna lie I might have to use the same exact thing caps, how much are these? Im about to use two watering spike per 7inx7in pot. Let me know of the caps are better then spikes. If so I might use some blumats vs watering spikes vs these caps on the next round and see what watering system is the best for my coco medium.

Net you kill it everytime I see pics, glad your still updating.

Having used all 3 methods that you mentioned .... if you have enough hieght to set the blumat rez ... then use the blumats . they give a much more precise feed to the plants . i can't use mine here cuz i'm in an attic & my max height is 6' . can't use a blumat rez . so i set up drippers on pumps ... & its workin pretty good with 2 drip lines per pot .... but i'm trying the caps cuz they have 4 drip sites per cap with a 2 line feed & the plus is ... they'll block the light to the top of the pots .
the 7 x 7 pots are the same ones i use & you see how they fit .... i'm likin them so far :)

Anyone else using the gro chunk/gro cubes? I feel like there is no ceiling with the multi-flo buckets and the rockwool. System is running 1.9 EC Veg+Bloom rite now and I'm contemplating adding in Overdrive.

Nice.

I eventually dropped my Ebb&Gro setups after a failed Sure To Grow medium test and just sick of dealing with hydroton.

I really enjoyed the system though and like flood and drain setup and wouldnt mind breaking it out of hiding with an easier medium.

So you're using the Grodan Grow Chunks? The 3/4" squares.
What is your flood frequency like? Do you alter it for smaller plants and as they grow.

Any downsides? Looks like you're rocking some pretty nice rooms. You've got a thread or more info on your methods?

EDIT - I see your thread now.. see you over there.

Hi guys, was looking at the formula, had a couple questions..

goal was 100 N , so it worked out to 1/2 TSP ( 2.25 grams )

95N / 26P / 148K / 36Mg / 107Ca

does the P seem a little low, and even the Mg in the formula?

by the way , this is R/O formula

Yes it does. I don't think that you can approach it quite like that - I know that when I was trying down around that level, I was getting all kinds of deficiencies and some really, really hungry girls.

I would take it up to an EC of 1.2 or so (minimum) and see what the percentages yield for you.

I've been hitting em' hard this round and they keep jumping. 2.0EC, it's even slipped up to 2.3 and no burn! It's def been cooler and I think you can feed heavier in a cooler atmosphere but either way I'm going to keep it simple. Changing the rez once a week!

looking good everyone. as far as the additives go i am trying out bloombastic and it seems to have made an almost immediate change. but then again i am using a new active hydro system instead of coco so its faster in general. could be all in my head but they are blowing up like mad

I decided this grow to give the Veg+Bloom a try this go around and one thing that I have noticed is when I mix the Veg+Bloom in my reservoir the water is clear with no sediment on the bottom, but as time goes on there seems that some of the nutrients must migrate out of the water with time and settles on the bottom of the reservoir. I do a water change in my reservoir about every 5 days.

I have a reservoir that holds 7 gallons and last water change I had mixed the Veg+Bloom to a mixture of EC = 1.7 or 860 ppm.
I have two air stones and a small H2O pump to keep the water circulating in the reservoir
I'm running two plants using Blumats and air pots in a grow cabinet.

In the past I have ran GH Flora Micro and Bloom with the current setup for 5 grows so I know the system works, But this is the first time that I have used the pump in the system and this was added to help keep the powered nutes mixed.

So how is it working in comparison to the GH stuff you ran?

That sediment at the bottom is probably excess salts IMO.

I've never seen any sedimentation, and I never change out my reservoir. I also run Blumats, but I either just replenish it as needed to keep the EC and the level where I want, or dilute it down toward the end of the run. No bubbling, just kick on a stir pump twice a day when I run the lift pump to refill the upper reservoir.

Since I'm only in my second week of flower and have only 2 water changes with the Veg+Bloom its to early to for a comparison.
