The 200XX powder drops the price per gallon for Aloe vera juice by as much as 80% - pretty amazing difference. Mixes very easily with absolutely no clumping at all.

Thanks soursmoker! I knew I'd seen it, did a quick thread search, and when I couldn't be satisfied in 45 seconds, I gave up. :)

With our low humidity (20%) how do you dry? My first grow hermi (took me forever to get to this stage) and I harvested at week 6 of flower. The bud dried quickly (<48hours). I'm thinking of drying for 24hours and paper-bagging next time ( in 6 weeks).

I went through the process of trimming drying because I've never done it. I won't be growing more than my 6 plants. Just too physically hard for me.

I've been gone for a week! Nice to be back in town and I was excited to see that all was well in my garden :dance013:

One of the things you will notice about drying is that it is really really easy when you grow good buds all the way through and harvest them when finished.

My Method seems to work really well for low humidity.

Step 1: While plant is still in the soil. Trim the major fan leaves off that haven't any trichomes.

Step 2: Chop plant at the base.

Step 3: Hang entire plant and all the sugar leaves upside down in a closet or anywhere really. I prefer a closet that is clean and free of dust.... Also keeps my cat out.

Interestingly enough, different strains will do different things. Although not very dense, my Agent Orange Takes FOREVER to dry.

When I got home from my trip, some had been hanging for 7-10 days and still aren't ready for the jar.... but damn do the smoke good now. WAY better then day 1. I love a really really slow dry.

When I want to smoke, if I'm out, or just to have something new, I will take a few lower buds off and put them on my dehydrator trays and turn it on to the lowest setting 90F

As far as when I jar them....

Once the smaller bottom stems will break and the outer leaves are very crispy, I chop one branch or two off at a time and trim them all up... usually a day longer than when I think they are good. That's where it's at. The moisture comes back out in the jars and if you put them in to early, you'll get a hay smell.

Lately I've been leaving most of the small sugar coated leaves on when I trim... these are called Bracts... not the ones with a stem, but the little single tipped leaves that stick out covered in trichomes.... keep those on your medicine. That's good stuff right there.

Don't laugh, but my soil is Happy frog (base soil) for veg I amend with ancient forest, worm casting and Oregonism. For flower I repot and. amend with a bag of budswel, ancient forest and Oregonism. Not perfect and yes scary but my DNA Genetics Cataract Kush made it through veg and now 2 weeks in 12/12.

You exhausted me with all the tasks you perform for your grow.

You exhausted me with an entire grow that did not work. haha Sorry I had to because I know I do a ton of shit.

Don't worry about me. I'm crazy and I love having a million things to do. It can be done with a much simpler recipe.

Make your own soil mix if possible. If you would like to talk about a very simple soil mix that is easy to use and cost effective.... just say the word.

Also, If you were able to run the same mix all the way through from start to finish, this would be ideal... I bought so much of that Ancient Forest and then found out that it is just Sphagnum Peat Moss.... I was pissed!

I'm not saying you should change right now.... but prepare to change your soil medium as time goes on if you would like to improve your results.

Hope that helps!!!

:tiphat:

P.S. This C99 Is Intense... Can't believe I typed all that.... I barely stopped typing for a second... haha.

Lookin' frickin' marvy! :respect: What lens did you use on those last couple close-ups of the single nerg?

200X Aloe is good stuff. Frequency. All the Damn Time.

Also excellent for cloning. So many benefits for so many things. Did you read up about it in the Recycling Soil Sticky??

Roger wilco, if my Cataract Kushes reach maturity that's exactly what I will do.

You exhausted me with an entire grow that did not work. haha Sorry I had to because I know I do a ton of shit.

I cried and felt depressed thankfully I had the Cataract Kushes to fall back on.. I had no "super-soil" ready thus the aforementioned mix was used. In addition, I supplement with Earth Juice products (micro, catalyst, grow, bloom, meta-k, Hydrozyme & cal-mag plus). So far they are tolerating my over feeding.

I have all the ingredients to make a "super-soil" using one bag of Happy Frog, but I would welcome a simpler working mix. I gather this is for flowering only? It's ok if your mix is for large quantity ill mix it for 2 cu.ft. Just enough to fill three 7 gallon pots.

I'll have my first 4 successful clones ready in a few weeks for this mix.:thank you::thank you:

I have had my fair share of crop failures or disappointments.... but all were good learning experiences. I hope all works well with your current crop.

Happy Frog Ingredients: Composted forest humus, sphagnum peat moss, perlite, earthworm castings, bat guano, humic acid (derived from Leonardite), oyster shell and dolomite lime (for pH adjustment).

Composted Forest Humus: Don't worry about this ingredient (It's just Peat Moss)

Sphagnum Peat Moss: They use a lower quality then available in Single Bails at Home depot or any garden store for a MUCH better price.

Perlite: This is used because it's easy to ship. Use Lava Rock or Perlite if you have it.

Earthworm Castings: Buy a bag of these or use your own preferably.

Bat Guano: Don't worry about

Humic Acid: there are many ways.... I use a product by BioAg called TM-7 that has humics and micronutrients.

Oyster shell: Good Stuff and Really cheap

Dolomite lime: Probably don't need this either.

Any soil mix that I suggest will be for everything and not just for flower.

The plant is in control in the living soil and the plant will exude fluids through the roots that will attract the proper bacteria and fungus to digest foods in your soil that will produce the necessary nutrients at exactly the right time... veg or flower.

Let's start this way......

What do you have on hand that you were going to use anyways???

Well damn! You have a ton of goodies.

You'll be fine!

I thought you were about to start buying and mixing.

I would mix that asap, it really needs to thermal compost before adding any plants to it.... I'm not sure what your mix will look like but there are some hot ingredients in there that will need time to break down.

PM me anytime if you have questions..... at this point, I'll keep my advice to myself until I've run more mixes and have more input from experience.

Hope all is well!

I sprayed a nice coating of Fresh Tea over my Soil Mix.

1/2 Cup Compost
1 Cup Earth Worm Castings
1/3 Cup Molasses
Sprinkle of Alfalfa meal

Brewed for 40 hours.

Sprayed every drop all over the soil.

Probably the best plant I've ever grown out this far. Beautiful, covered in resin, really unusual smell.... Just nasty, but alluring. Skunky, putrid... and a little sweet.

Afghan kusk skunk

Worst photos ever... I should have taken some time and snapped a few good ones.... Oh well. I'll do the Budshots justice when I get there.
