yes no water, Left turning amino acids... hence the bioavailability. this was one of the main things that interested me when speaking with the developer

So would aptus benefit me, the 1200w grower? Pricewise i suppose?

I am bored, stoned, and have no snow tires. So I will break down my price model if I use Aptus....flower price calculation.

I use 3000w so you will have to adjust your figures to 40%. You might also use significantly more or less water per cycle, so you might need to address that as well.

Problem... Determine the Nute costs for a 9 week cycle. Week 9 is flush. Weeks 1-8 will be using H&G coco base nutes, supplemented twice a week with Aptus full line, ecozen used only once a week.

Answer.....

Approx volume of feed per week.

1. 80litres
2. 120 litres
3. 160 litres
4. 160 litres
5. 160 litres
6. 160 litres
7. 160 litres
8. 160 litres

1160 litres total.....this will need about $35 worth of H@G base.

Now for Aptus you need to find out how much of each you need each week. So for week 1. If I feed with Aptus twice a week. I need 2/7th of 80, or 23 litres. Use their calculator to determine which nutes I need that week, and how much of each

You do this for each week, then total each nute.
You then find the price of the bottle you want, and determine what percent of it you would use in the grow. Then use this percent against the cost of the bottle.

For example I would need 50ml of FAS per cycle, a 250ml bottle is $200, so it cost me $40.

Doing this for the full line works out to $186 per 3000w harvest.
Now for me, if it increases yield 2-3% over base nutes only, it was worth it.

Trolls that dont know math will see, my nute cost using aptus and H&G, is 6 times more than H&G alone, and since it won't increase yield 600% it is a waste of money. :moon:

Go here j, but assuming 3week veg, and 9 week flower, 40 gallons per week, here ya go.

What you'll need for a full cycle
FaSilitor needed 264 ml
StartBoost needed 160 ml
BloomBoost needed 336 ml
PeakBoost needed 464 ml
MassBoost needed 320 ml
FinaleBoost needed 408 ml
Ecozym needed 480 ml

250 ml bottle of facilitator is. 200$
250ml bottle of startboost is 75$
250ml bottle of bloomboost is 90$
500ml bottle of peakboost is. 75$
250ml bottle massboost is. 50$
500ml bottle of finaleboost is. 75$
500ml bottle of ecozyme is. 80$

Total per run, 600 dollars or so.

The problem isn't as much price as much as you have no clue what's in it. Spend a few hours reading about plant hormones, then read in the advanced cultivation forum here on ic where a few guys have been using natural pgr's for cheap and getting the same types of results, since its likely these companies are utilizing mostly basic plant hormones and bottling them for 1000% markup at least.

I like knowing what I put into something I'm going to smoke.

fasilitor = choline stbilised silicic acid
I'm going to guess that it's more likely that you have no idea what it is, no references, no test results, or any other factual basis for your statements.

In the Aptus growers manual pdf, each product is described; vaguely, incompletely, and not perfectly correctly, but described.

They look up-front about the expense, in the Aptus cost comparison pdf.

I don't care what the description is. I want an ingredient list. That's it. Ingredients. If they are nice, concentration.

It just amazes me people would spray or feed their plants something when they are clueless as to the contents. plants, by the way, which will be smoked.

OK I don't want to get involved in the nute battle. I use GH 3 part myself with some liquid koolbloom then the dry koolbloom. I am happy and do not push anyone to use what I do. If OP is happy with Aptus thats great. I am happy with what I use. I just like coming in here for the grow show....and it is pretty impressive to say the least. On with the GROW!!!!:dance013:

Aptus[/URL]]Composition
Regulator consists of a mixture of bio-available trace elements with the main component being Silica. Regulator contains a protected formula of stabilized silicic acid, the bio-available part of Silica (Si) that provides a hardening of the cell wall resulting in thicker stems, stronger leaves and an overall stronger plant.

so there are really two commercially available stabilized silicic acid formulas on the global market.

one is the choline-stabilized silicic acid, and the other is the polypropylene glycol stabilized formula. both of these can and do come in a product combined with boron and or other micronutrients such as Molybdenum.

what makes me guess choline stabilized instead of PEG stabilized is ...

APTUS said:
During warm periods, Regulator ensures that:
- crop with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius remains green

as choline has been shown to protect chlorophyll from degradation under temperature extremes. and if you look up cholocholine chloride, you will see dark green leaves referenced repeatedly.

not to mention the choline stabilized stuff originates in the Netherlands. and they actively seek private label formulations.

I think it is fun and educational to play the guessing game.

Man this thread is really full of annoying growers that dont want to learn but want to start arguments.

DT do you reuse your coco? If so after you pull the roots do you need to rinse your coco and charge it agian? I would think after the final flush it might not need to be washed agian but deffently precharged before clones go into the coco. I rinse and charge my coco each run b/c Im using new coco every run but reading Jacks thread he says his coco gets better and better reusing it every run.

Also are you using all of the aptus products? If not which ones?

Lets see some more pics or this thread is dead to me.....

Hi Eko

When I reuse coco i pull what roots I can out then I drench it with fulvic acid and ecozen

We spend all that money creating a biological breeding so to throw it away doesnt make any sense.

If your using heavy salts then you will need to let the coco rest. 1 load in the room being used and 1 load resting., then 1 load being prepared to go in the next cycle

I use all the Aptus boosters along with the base boost pellets but I'm running tests at the moment with a whole bunch of different bases.

here of some snaps of my 30

Thanks DT, nice pics I wish my room were that clean and had that even of a canopy. My room looks like a jungle atm, doing 50+ plants all from seed under 6kw.

Aptus isnt in my shop yet but I will look at it when it comes around. Seems fairly easy to use, and the big rooms around here are using it in super dialed enviorments.

Have you ever used Dutch Master Gold 2 part flower as a base? I got Part A and B for super cheap and thinking about using it since Im low on my GH Micro and Bloom base. My plants are super happy and healthy and wondering if switching nutrients 2 weeks into flower is stupid. I believe I will be fine but never used Dutch Master base, so any advice?
