~BHO LOVERS~

Yes you are right too.I think the secret,if there is a secret, is keeping and fixing the hot bath or the hot plate at the right temperature to make the gas fly away from the bho.
I would like to boss a secret about the adjectives given to the bho.I think them are just adjectives.Amber,Crystal,Budder,Wax,Sugar..
I think that adjectives don t stand for different extracion or purguing technique.I think the extraction technique is the same and the fynal look of the bho only depends on the strain of the starting plant adn eventually on the climate condictions of the room(or outside if you stay in the garden).I think that the only one different product that you can get is when you get the BUDDER and in my opinion it only happens when you go over with the temperature(when the water or the plate is too hot) and imo it is not a beautiful thing.

Look at these pictures. The extract is the same. The first one is when finished to work the bho and I hold it in the freezer for few minutes just for keeping it away frome the blades to put it in my finally bag (a glass bag);and it looked so freezy,so crystal. The second picture was took some days later.
Look the extract is the same.Look what wheater has done to the bho.Woooooo

Hi MID you are right I first answer to you because I think you are so peaceful and your ideas are clear. Now I explain to you why I think vacuum is good only for small extactions.
First of all :
What is that keep the bho liquid or fluid? Butane gas.
How can the butane stay fluid in the bho? With temperature.
How has to be the surface of the pyrex dish? The most wide as possible.
So where is the temperature in the cheap vacuum machine?
Where is the surface?
When I mean lab machine I mean a very expensive vacuum machine with a half-open ball of pyrex wich always rotate in a hot water. These machines also have a serious vacuum pump.
If you have a little vacuum machine and you hope that the "so light power of the little noizy pump" should aspire butane, you can try to aspire butane with human breath. You will get the same results.Of course, with this sentence,I'm funny,I'm not offending you when I'm suggesting you to aspire butane with your mouth.Ok?Ok.It was just to bring you an example.
Backing to the lab machines, only in this case we can be sure to purgue a high quantity of bho.
I was talking about 1 g just because with small quantities like this
you don ' t have the problem of the surface, temperature etc..
Now I want to make you enjoying another time before going to answer to some jumpers. If I only have 20 posts on IC it doesn't mean that I started to smoke 20 days ago.

PEACE

Your still seem quite confused about this, have you ever used deep vacuum to purge? I'm assuming no from your comments posted.

BHO can be runny or solid regardless if there is butane in it or not. Extracting from decarboxylated material or decarboxylating during your purge will give you a more viscous runny extract. You can also have a solid piece of shatter and still have butane trapped with in the solid.

My 3 gallon 11" diameter aluminum degassing chamber can be kept directly on the heating element to purge oil at 110-125F keeping the viscosity low enough to constantly release solvent while under vacuum of
-29.9" hg. It's also large enough for me to purge ounce + batches in very thin films, less than 1/8". Most vacuum experiments in labs involve use vacuum ovens for the most thorough even heating while under deep vacuum along with a pump that has a very low micron rating. The pump I have now is very strong at 25 microns, but I'm going to be getting a JB industries platinum series rated down to 15 microns these cost around $400. My 2 stage 3cfm pump will bring water to a very strong rapid boil at room temperature with no added heat. Underpurged oil placed in my chamber under full vacuum and constant heat shows a violent rapid release of solvent and moisture.

Comparing a cheap vacuum pump to using your breath to purge butane is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. If you think they will do the same thing your are very mistaken and should do little bit more research. I'm sorry, but your opinion of vacuum purging just doesn't make any sense. If you would like me to explain anything else, ask away.

Diggin the color of that oil in your pictures, whats the flavor?

Happy thanksgiving!

I think your extraction way is so right and it s very good if you can get a JB.But if you still have a deep vacuum pump and you can give it the right heat, it s allready ok.Most of all if you have the right surface. My personal problem is that I have familiarity just with cheap pumps,as I said.Sadly I can' t give any heat to the chamber. And beacuse is a little circular chamber I'm forced to put there a glass,or a cup.Even if I know how work the good lab machines,at the moment I can' t get them.I' m forced to work with my hands and with the right temperature, or to use eventually a little pump. But sadly my little pump doesn' t work.I don' t want to tell you the false. For my extractions it works better my hand work.Unfortunatley it' s not so confortable.

I m just trying to say that if we have a tall and close surface (like cup or a glass) it' s almost sure that some gas saty trapped. But if you have a pump with a oven or if you can perpetually rotate the cup with a deep pump it' s ok.It' s an industrial vacuum machine.

When you mean that the bho can be runny after a total butane clearing, you r right but I think it can only happen in the summer or spring season. In fact image to moove from an open air hot summer, to an oven, you notice that the runny bho first melt down, and than evaporate (or cath fire).Thc is more solid than liquid. If there' s some gas trapped in the bho you must give it some heat. And I think you do it.I think that you are on the right way.

The extract in the pictures I post you tastes like lemon. So good.

There is no part of that paragraph that shows you understand this anybit as much as you think.

SO STOP TRYING TO EXPLAIN TO US HOW THE MOLECULAR SYMPHONY HAPPENS!!!

My earlier post still stands. Please, go to the Toker's Den to get your post count up.

Not that exact thread, these picture just show you how to use the search function. Cause right now you are just showing you are too lazy to do the research on your own and expect to gum up this thread verifying some BASIC concepts of this. Which may be more time efficient for you, but not us. Seriously this thread would be half as long if this didn't happen.

Ok Red, thank you.

Thc is more solid than liquid.

You are wrong Kab,
THC in its pure form is an incolor, inodor liquid that first turns violet then reddish if exposed to oxidation. Sam talked about this.

Even if some points you touched sounds good, i suggest you to read a lot before sentencing on what is wrong and what is right.
It seems you missed 85 pages of this thread, and a whole bunch of other endless thread full of info.

All the problems you talked about were adressed long time ago here, and as MidwestHigh among others showed, they were solved quite efficiently.

I agree with you that without thin film, and right temps vacuum would be less effective and maybe unsuccesfull in purgin all the gas out.
But saying that vacuum is useful only on little extractions is far from correct in my opinion.

Lastly there are better thread to discuss bho tecniques in.
This "Bho lovers" thread should be just a gallery with a lot of pictures and just few words....

Yes Rula you remind me that I shouldn' t generalize my personal experience. And yes, maybe I missed some threads. Also right for the bho gallery.
Thanks for every one' s tips and.. let' s make a bhombo book of pictures!

That's one way to say it.
Another way would be the 'Virgin telling the Prostitute how to suck'.

Static shock - I've never seen or had an absolute amber come out waxy looking and not see threw. Was this winterized?

Its a ghetto absolute, I used 91% qwiso instead of everclear since my state doesnt sell it.
And no my qwiso was cold as shit but I didn't winterize technically.

I imagine the added water content brought me the waxyness.
But thats only a speculation.
