Ive always assumed the most knowledgeable growers were off line...sure there are some peeps who know what they are talking about...but sites like these are populated w people who THINK they are experts and even newer people who ride thier jocks cuz they dont know any better...the internet is where most info is focused..but who knows the percentage of internet knowledge that is shit..im betting over 50 %....habut you learn to weed thru it and get some truth..

If I may. My advice to forum goers is this; Stop looking for plant specific information regarding cannabis but, rather search to expand your general plant knowledge and basic chemistry skill. Take a leap forward and apply it. No regrets. Have faith in yourself, and cultivate in your mind an image of success, minus profit motive.

It's got a little more than 20 days, I think Im going to take them to 11.

That's not PK its Raskal's FIRE OG. I use a homemade nutrient blend, and it's soil not hydro or cubes.

Was apparently cured for 6 months and smacked harder than anything else I've smoked before or since.. I was walking around my aunts apartments in SD smoking a fat jay, all the while in the same tiny gated community, and had to call my brother to guide me back to her house because I had become completely lost lol... Man those were the days, I need to grow me out some OG to cure up for a good long ass minute and get all senile and shit..... Thank you for taking me down memory lane haha..

this sounds like the OG i love....sounds very similar to my OG cut which came labeled "pure kush" but after showing many growers including SFV locals they said it was the closest they have seen to the SFV cut since they moved up to the bay area...lime green with straight lemon fuel filled with pine needles smell..

Funny story about Skywalker. The reason Skywalker became iconic as a brand back in the day was due to the fact the crew in possession the "G" cut would grade all the flowers before they hit the market and the guy in the crew who consistently pulled the dankest, his name was Luke. Hence forth they branded his gear Skywalker and a legend was born.

I have subscribed to the school of thought that believes only 3 Legitimate cuts exist and everything else is either spurious or a victim of the name game.

interesting story, and i agree 100%. the name game is best shown here...how a cut normally just an OG all of a sudden becomes its own brand name "skywalker OG"...then cuts start floating around at clubs labeleed skywalker that are probably S1s or so far down the line that genetic drift has occured, or just mislabeled. Harborside Health was selling lots of skywalker clones and meds and it did not look like OG to me, looked like headband or a hybrid OG x Sour...

also with many companies releasing OG crosses now we will only see more and more of this happen. for example i just found a nice OG pheno in a pack of rare dankness "Docs OG" its a hybrid of ghost, chem91, and triangle....however its got its own name now. i could give that pheno to another grower who may have 50 lights and then he wants to call it his own name when he markets to a dispensary....the name game is nuts and you can see it happening in its infancy with the GS cookies strain..you have the original cuts + s1 + bagseed finds + mislabeleds + pollen hacking experiments all producing dozens of different phenos from one original cut..

^^ youre getting nice yields with those ogs. if youre hitting over 2 pounds a light you got that shit dialed. i know its possible i just average like 1.3 with og's. also prolly cuz i do organic soil.

that g sounds like money.. from the description it kinda sounds like my skywalker og. a little more sativa and higher yield and fatter calyxs although my skywalker kinda has thick blades. kinda. lol.

also that topanga canyon kush or pk is the 91 pure kush im almost positive.. fast flowering super low yielding amazing dank og.. some say they get a lucky charms flavor on the exhale. i guess i can see how they get that. theres been a few pure kushs but this one is the best one by far. youre a lucky man. pure headstash.

its funny noticing the slight differences in the og clones. some are bushier, some are stretchier. some yield more, some have fatter blades while others have skinner more sativa blades. ive noticed that most throw out 3 fingered leaves. some are extra extra viney while some have thicker branching, some are more sativa, some more indica.

so the theories on the lineage are like this:

some say its a chem 91 s1, a lot say its chem 91 x old world paki/lemon thai (i believed this one for a long time as a lot of others did too) but i think now the common theory is its an s1 of the triangle kush form florida. maybe theres og's that are all 3 that just came out all similar. who knows, maybe someone did a chem 91 x paki/lemon that that came out dead on to the triangle kush.

now i wonder if the triangle kush has chem in its lineage as it kinda seems logical that og came from the chem line.

now back to the question of the old iranian landrace thats dead on to the og kush? maybe the triangle is an s1 of this. and the rest of the ogs are s1s of the triangle and s2s and s3s and so on lol.

i know its corny to speculate and tell stories but its very interesting to me so i dont care what people say lol

diamond og= bushier shorter internodal spacing, small 3 bladed leaves and larger producer then most og's. nice earthy fuel og buds.
b real og= bushier og with fat ass 3 bladed leaves as well as 5 bladed leaves as it gets bigger. nice yielder. earthy og fuel buds. average look.
sfv og= easier to grow, stretchy, viney plant with 3 bladed leaves as well. decent yield of lemony pinesol fuel og buds.
tahoe og= not as stretchy and viney as some but still stretchy and viney lol. decent yielder of super potent earthy fuel og buds. extreme frost and fat calyxs. one of the better looking and stronger ogs.
skywalker= kind of fat 3 bladed leaves as well as 5 bladed leaves. average internodal spacing for an og, not extra stretchy like some. good yielder of more sativa like buds that look kind of braided almost foxtaily.. pointy crown shaped buds with extreme frost and fuely og smell. one of the better looking ogs.
hells angels og= hella viney and stretchy with floppy ass branches that need tied up.. large yielding og of nice fuely og buds. cant remember if they were more lemoney pine sol or earthy?
sac og= stretchy small 3 bladed leaves, viney plant with strong more indica like og buds with a earthy fuel stink. darker then most ogs and average look. strong high though.
diablo og= stretchy plant with long internodal spacing but branches seem a little thicker and hardier then most ogs. decent yield of pure fuely og buds. similar to the true og imo.
true og= stretchy, long internodal spacing, super viney and floppy branches. small yield ime but produce amazing buds that reak of og fuel, pinesol, lemon, earthy, fuel, all the above.. extreme frost. potent high. nice red hairs. fat calyxs
presidential og= bushier plant. shorter node spacing. larger yield of extra lemoney pine sol og nugs. might be a hybrid cuz it doesnt look like typical og in veg ime.
king louie og= average stretch for og. ive seen long node spacing and short node spacing depending on enviornment i guess. good yielder of more indica like og buds with fat ass calyxs and earthy fuely smell. straight og. extremey potent high. hard to root.
ghost og= one of the stretchier ogs, super fast vegger with long nodal spacing. extremely dank og buds. fat calyxs.

this is just my experience with those.

Out of those you listed the Sac OG and True OG are the ones that sound the closest to the OG cut I have. Good info!! Thanks for posting that.

So is the cookies a fad? OG clearly is not, but I have not smoked enough batches of cookies to judge yet. Only smoked one that I feel was legit, and I wasn't too impressed. The nugs did look good though.

i couldnt say....OG has a decade+ of hype behind her so shes going strong and is clearly in the top spot for cannabis smokers. but cookies is definately the new kid on the block....been spreading slowly and if you get a good batch its definately some of the best herb you can smoke regarding taste and high.... i like both herb alot but OG is probably still my favorite just because of the lemon fuel taste that i love..
