New Grow 20 fem chemdog beans 1200 watts

Hey Guys, thought id start this right by starting a thread along with my grow. Just received my chemdog seeds from greenhouse seed co and very excited to get started! Im sure i will be asking lots of questions along the way since this is my first time with this strain and only have a few grows under my belt but i shall start with what im using for supplies and a pic or 2.. This run i am using the following

4'9x4'9x6'7 Growlab tent
(2) 600 watt Sun system Yield Master II air cooled hoods
Plant max hps bulbs
600 watt Galaxy selectable watt ballasts
6" Wind tunnel fan
another 6 inch can fan blowing outside the tent in on the bottom
carbon filter
Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil
Cornucopia Plus Nutrients
20 chemdog greenhouse seed co feminized beans
3 gallon smart pots
rapid rooter seed starters with dome and heat mat

a few pics :)

Thinking about starting tonight but just thought id ask others the best way to go about germinating these beans as i usually just start from clone Thanks for visiting! :)

well, the beans have been soaking in a cup of water for about 24 hours now so about to pop em in some rapid rooters and put them in my greenhouse with a heating mat under them...here goes nothing!

Your on the right path :).. good solid setup.. should be an interesting few months to come.. look forward to updates!

I also just germ straight into moist rr plugs in under a dome with a heat mat.. works like a charm every time.. no soaking for me.

I'm curious to see how this chemdog compares to other breeders offerings for the price. Have only tried a few GHS strains and some were pretty good others were just average IMO.

Just a little update, So when i checked the glass of water i put them in most sank to the bottom and were cracked even had a tiny bit starting to poke out of them so i placed them all in the rapid rooter and covered the top of the holes with a little piece of rr i put them in the dome with the heating mat last night around 8. Anyone have any idea on average time when i should expect them to start popping up out the tops of the rapid rooters? Trying out a new strain is exciting but i have that minor anxious feeling just because i want them to turn out nice guess only time will tell! :)

Thanks DeoXy im excited to see how they will turn out!! :)

Probably 24-48 hours for most. Relax dude, you're in for a long haul. The biggest thing I've learned from over 10 years of growing is patience. Still hard to not get worked up over new genes.

Thanks for the wisdom unspoken but you are right new genetics are always a treat can wait til my garden is nice and bushy! Checked them tonight and all but one have popped up heres a pic for you guys :) Just wondering should i put them under flourescents now or wait til the last one pops up? just curious

The moment they break the surface of the soil is when they want light. You've got a very nice tent setup too I'm excited to see how it does for you.

Will be very interesting to see the GHS version of Chemdog, will be watching very closely. Have been debating getting some GHS strain varieties recently so this will be great info.

Fantastic setup mang, doing it the right way. The plants will be loving those two mackin' 600w bulbs that's for sure!

be cool to see the variations that come forward and the strain itself- keep us posted till the finish! good luck!

Agreed. I see a lot of people hating on ghs, but don't see many of these grown out. Definitely looking forward to it, and nice setup :tiphat:

Any reason why people tend to hate on them?

And thank you, i started out with just 1 600W and went to 2...after this harvest im planning on adding another 600 and moving the (3) 600s into the GL 145 which is 9'6" wide x 4'9" deep x 6'7" and use my 5x5 as a veg tent My only worry is going to be heat issues ive done a dry run with the lights on and it tends to get warm in there with the intake and outtake fan i have it down to about 86. :(

I think im just going to end up running an ac and blowing into the room so the intake fan on the bottom blowing into the tent can get that cool air in there and circulating. I already have the ducting from the hoods going out and up in to the attic but the room isnt much bigger than the tent so hopefully the ac will take care of any heat issues i may experience.

Anyone with advice or who has experience running this many watts in a 5x5 tent id love to hear what worked for you! :)

I think a lot of people just don't like arjan or his marketing practices. He's the kind of guy that sells a bobblehead doll of himself and renames himself arjan greenhouse. I went to their coffee shop in amsterdam and smoked a bunch of good weed though. Wasn't as good as a couple others, but top 5 anyway. As far as their seeds go, it's kind of misleading to cross sour d and og and call that chemdog. They assume everyone knows that it's "greenhouse chemdog." Doesn't mean it won't be fire, just not like the other reports of chemdog you see here.
