Im fucking terrible!
I put a new hygrometer out there today and its 12% higher than the 2 older ones Ive had out there the entire grow.
My plants arent dry and I have no hash! They are hanging whole and are sticky and spongy as can be. They must be releasing a lot of moisture because my dehumidifier cant keep it below 60 in there. I have the AC set at 70 and have even tried exhausting the air every hour.
I tried the dry ice method and only got a couple of grams from a freezer bag full of leaf and trim with some smaller buds mixed in. Its pure as can be but has a fresh plant type taste to it still.
The washing machine was a complete fuck you kick in the balls! I filled the bag with a freezer bag full of weed and ice with enough water to fill the max line. I set the machine to run for 9 minutes but I noticed the water turned green right away and the ice was melted in a couple of minutes. When I drained it through the bags I didnt even have a full spoon of hash.
Ive done this by hand with the same amount of herb and ended up with mounds of hash. The ice would be frozen in the bucket for hours and I would end up throwing chunks of ice into the trash. I dont know what the fuck happened! The RO water I used had been sitting in a storage can at around 70, but I did throw some frozen bottles in it before dumping into the washing machine.
I still have 2 freezer bags full of trim and Im not done trimming the plants yet. Im not sure if I used the machine wrong or how the fuck Im gonna make some hash!!!

I tried following this video, but it looks like I needed more ice. Im not sure how they got it to bubble like that with almost no ice. There must have been a time lapse where they added more or something. Theres a note in there that I missed that said you will need to add more ice later, but they never show it being done, nor do they show it in the machine while its running. Oh well, its just trim.
Ill be trying again with some colder water in a few hours.
Heres some dry ice

You think Im gonna abandon this thread without showing pics of this frosty dank weed?
I was planning a huge update with my final recollection on the grow.
Ill be back with more. Right now Im looking for ideas on my new room. I have a 2 car garage to play with and an additional room in the house.
Here are a few of my plants. The room is getting taken apart so its a mess in there.

I just ran the bubble machine two more times without much improvement. I added as much ice as I would with a regular bucket being done by hand and I tried without ice in the bag. Neither way improved much. Im throwing the machine away and doing it by hand from now on.
Whats realy fucked is I didnt even use the spin trimmer because I threw the smaller buds in the hash pile. Oh fucking well!

Whattttt.... Sorry to hear about your short comings Tribal. Regarding the nugs drying, do the massive stems attribute to the moisture? Those buds could of sucked up more juice from the massive stems they reside on. If that happens after you give them the axe.

And Jimney Crickets those are fucking bad ass trees man! Must be heavy wet weight yeah?

looking good man. sorry to hear about the shitty hash runs. i tried a run of bubble hash a couple weeks ago and it was terrible as well. i think i will stick to the dry ice screen method from now on.

Yea... The stems were floppy for a while. They are still pretty moist.
Id remove the main stems but then I would need to do a bunch of hanging.
Im going to be taking them off the stems and laying them on a net. Im packing up soon.
Next time I have problems in veg Im tossing the plants! Veg is overrated!
Half of these plants didnt even have much root going into flower.
The 5 gal pots seemed to have yielded bigger buds. If I didnt have problems with the roots in veg I might have needed bigger pots for bushes this size. Im not sure.
There was a good amount of buildup in the medium when I tried to flush. I had them sucking 200ppm w/drip clean for a week but they wouldnt yellow. When I tested the runoff it was 2000ppm. A good flush with the same 200ppm res wiped it out. Fuck me!

I didnt get much from the single runs on the bags with the machine, but its potent and clean as can be!
I think you have to run the machine a couple of times. Fuck that!
The only good thing about not having a huge pile is its already dry and vaping!

Dry ice screen method? Is that with a bag or an actual flat screen?
I was thinking of a tumbler next time. I really dont want to go back to bubble by hand, but the yield was so much better for me.
Maybe Ill just hire someone else to do it for me. But then I gotta teach them to do it...

This was a Sour D bubble run I did by hand with the same size freezer bag as the spoon above came from...

New genetics on the way! I just pulled the trigger on the Cali Connection Chem 91' promo.
Ill be sprouting some regular Tahoe, Larry and CVK along with the Chem in a few weeks at my new location. Im also hoping to pick up a few clones from the shop.
Hopefully Ill get the chance to run this Sour Kush again, but with a dialed setup.
As part of the promo I also got a free fem Res Sour Kush aka Headband seed. Im sure it wont be anything like the Headband Im after, but its free! They also gave me a free Kandy Kush and OG#18. I should have a bunch of nasty fuel soon!

WHY IS IT U HATE RUNNING THE BAGS BY HAND? IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BAD.. HOW MUCH MATERIAL R U RUNNING.. I HAD A GUY MAKE ME SOME BAGS THAT FIT A 5 GALLON BUCKET GOOD.. I just fill it put the drill in it with a sheet rock mud mixer let it sit for couple minutes and strain... take like and hour to do 2 run with alotta trim... nice looking harvest.. just needs a little time.. i had a friend it would take 2 weeks or better before he could jar his goods, due to his settings.. he always had some killer tasting stuff

They are sticky and smell nasty!
Its a lot of work to do it by hand and its messy.
I think if I had more water ready I could have just ran the machine again and emptied a few loads into a bucket and then into the bags. I didnt run it twice because it had been sitting for so long.
Letting the buds mix in the bucket with all the ice is still going to do a better job at removing them, but its a bit more green than what I got from the machine. It was pure white foam.

Aww shucks. Hows the drying coming along? I know your moving also. Curing any of those buds?

How much space are you getting at the new garage set up? Starting a new thread for that grow?

Sup homie! Im high as a kite! I had some issues last night, but Im alright.
I have curing jars and a vac seal kit. I usually try and follow the Perfect Cure Everytime thread. Thanks Simon! I havent really nailed it yet, but Im working on it.
This time my bud smells perfect drying though. I had the hay smell for a second, but the buds smell incredible! I dont think it will take much of a cure.
I have a ton of small buds. They really shrink like crazy. I dont think I had this much shrinkage with my Sour D's last time.
Im having some work done at the new house before I set up a grow. I have a 2 car garage and a spare room for growing. The 2 car garage is going to be split into atleast 2 rooms. Im thinking of leaving my dryer and washer in the front and seperating the back into veg and flower, or Ill just add a shed outside for that junk.
Im thinking 4-6 600's in flower, so about 10x10 should be a little over sized. Not having a reflective surface on the sides sucks. I think I lost a good amount of light. Plus cooling the 2 car garage was a joke. I really liked all the extra space I had to throw shit around in...
Im still not sure if I can exhaust a room next to a sealed room. I really cant afford to run two AC's!!!
Im open to suggestions on the new grow. Id really like to increase my efficiency with the gear I already have. I might try vert, but I want to have my room prepared for air cooling the hoods if I need to. I havent managed to control temp and humidity within the optimal range without an AC & dehumidifier. Im sure it would work just fine without them though.
