LOL.....

Yeah once folks got good organic it changed pricing. Organic nugs fetched higher dollars up here. Like 4800 top shelf organic compared to 3500 frosty chem nugs...no shit. The circles I knew didn't know people that were into chems...since we we all seeking higher quality herb back then,we would laugh at chemi herb and that grower would want to step it up. I dunno what happened besides Bush and the 911 trip messing the scene with new anti-terrorist (actually anti-doper) laws.

Finally - a real pH solution!

ODM-1 is a pH meter that connects to any iOS mobile device. Talk about complete control of this important factor with indoor gardening....

Lol cell phones and brain cancer go quite well together i hear. I refuse to get a new one after losing my last in the garden somewhere.

There is a cherry grower down this way who monitors all of his orchard sights temps, humidity etc in real time with a phone ap. If the harvest time is too wet or cold the cherries split and are ruined and the same if the humidity is too high. These guys call in a helicopter to hover above the trees to dry em out and warm them!

Serious money to be made on the Japanese market. $1.50 per cherry for some varieties.

Wow...thanks CC...you're the man...ph problems solved!...don't forget to flush!!

If it is a cut of the real PK,what I call 'extinct Purple Kush' from the PNW area that was up here everywhere for nearly 25 years from what I can remember, then dropped off somewhere around 2004,it should be looser than the denser replacement purple kushes. White thrich's and plenty of them..purple in the caylx's and leaves, but also quite green. Super sweet Indica musky/earthy/anise smell...makes some really nice white hash. Last time I smoked this was in Oakland (brought by a friend to one of the first dispenz in Oakland from the PNW 2001-02...I also threw in my DJ/Sag Bubbleberry keeper mom cut from 96) and I oddly last spotted the real PK in Spokane 2003...probably didn't stick around long as far as a productive indoor type,it just wasn't super dense at a time when 'density' was played like the latest trend. I think the real PK didn't yield well...so I never wanted any cut I came across....but I smoked the hell out of my buddies organic PK~

I think it's been crossed out extensively....making a basis for these other denser less potent PK's

LVPK (KKPK) has that real PK smell and greasiness....but it's definitely not as potent as the original PNW type. The original's effect could be kind of freaky when grown correctly...just potent ass shit ya know.

I'm kicking myself in the ass for not running more than 2 plants outside this year. One was some kind of ATF/MTF/NL#5 crossed to some kind of 30 year old Oregon sativa I was gifted that did well...last year was enough to prevent me from any attempt this side of the Cascades.
Nah - this Purple Kush wasn't anything that would have kept it around for that long, i.e. nothing special.

I was just curious......

Are the opposing sides on Washington 502 initiative running ads up in the Seattle media market?

The other question that I wanted to ask you is who are the Kardashians and why would I want to keep up with whatever it is that they do?

Holy overflowing mason jar of camellia FPE! Got up in the night to discover my test quart jar of camellia flower fpe had bubbled over the edge of its jar and spilled wonderfully smelling brown liquid all over the counter.

502....serious shit. Not looking good for our side...there are no 'No on 502' tv ad's.. Yeah...some pretty heavy deceptive shit being played out the 'Yes' side. Do a search on Rick Steves speaking in Olyimpa on 502....after you read that I'll try and find the other sides story. Big prime time tv spots all freeking night man.

As for the 'Keeping up with the Babylonian's'....what better political and social distraction for the mindless portion of the populous.....don't forget to flush that shit!

Portland's media outlets run the political ads for Washington's races to Southwest Washington voters.

Not a single ad. Nothing at all.

The ballot initiative in Oregon isn't on the radar either. There has been nothing from either side - no TV ads, newspaper, no debates and the pro side hasn't been able to raise money from out of state groups - that's not the case in Washington and Colorado where big money has flowed in.

The financial statements filed for September showed that the pro side had $2,000.00 in the bank - not even enough to pay a month's rent on their office space. It's hard to see how the pro side can pull this off.

Progressive auto insurance is one of the biggest supporters and campaign donators for 'Yes on 502'.......more DUI's from MMJ. Rates go up....Progressive makes bank off the MMJ patient who puffed his Meds 2 hr's ago...but still is considered under the influence two days later...pretty fucked up shit. If Rick Steve's could go back in time on his European adventures he could take his punk ass and that initiative back to Nazi Germany.

the passing of 502 would drop the retail prices? Is that the concern?

...it would raise black market prices..raising all prices....GOOD.......FUCK "EM!!....looks like the kids will have a good X-mas.

IMO they loose again despite the increased punishments from the new law. If 502 passes it would also propagate and support the entire judicial system...police,prosecutors,lawyers,judges,prisons......more bunks filled in the joint means more federal and state funding.

Maybe if I did a soil test and don't forget to flush...everything will be alright?

The opposition in Oregon centers around 2 issues:

1. The bill's sponsor - Paul Stanford (THCF clinics)

2. The distribution being controlled by the State of Oregon
I'll just explain #2 since it's easier: if passed, the state would be in charge of setting up stores (whatever the correct term is) where cannabis would be sold. In order to have product, this proposal would create a new designation, i.e. a 'grower class' under the law.

Under the OMMP regulations, you can grow your own medicine obviously. Legally you can have 18 immature plants (pre-flower) and cuttings do not count as they are considered plant material. You are allowed 6 plants in flower and you can have, on your person, up to 24 oz. So the total plant count is 24 which plays into the next part.

As a legal grower, you can grow for 3 others by them assigning their grow card to you. So 4 x 24 = 96 plants which falls under the alleged DEA thing about 100 plants. Delusional - if they want you a single plant is all they need but I digress.

Under this proposal an individual could apply for a 'grow license' and the harvest would be sold to the state though the compensation structure is pretty murky but whatever. The state would have to set some kind of standards if they're going to be in the MMJ business and in this state if anyone thinks that standards won't be enacted by the state legislature then they are beyond delusional.

So let's say that the medical review boards decide to do real analysis on the medicine coming in from this new group of growers and set-up limits on the heavy metals, outright poisons (like NAA), etc. In a state where Superthrive was banned 4 years ago how well do you think the majority of bottled nutrients would remain a viable choice if the grower knew that his 'medicine' would undergo rigorous testing? You can't even pump gasoline into your personal vehicle in this state - LMAO

Behind all of this though is the history of the OLCC (Oregon Liquor Control Commission) - in this state all liquor is controlled by this agency except for beer & wine. We do not have liquor stores as in most other states. The liquor stores are completely controlled - hours of operation, price that you pay (all liquor is sold through OLCC), etc. - all of that is under the auspices of the OLCC. Even restaurants, taverns, hotels, etc. have to buy their liquor through the OLCC

Imagine what the state legislature will put together for MMJ - keep in mind that the current governor, John Kitzhaber, is a cardiac surgeon by profession. He was responsible for getting the Oregon Health Law passed over 20 years ago, i.e. he's one of the good guys. Think he might have some input?

Here's the summary in the voter's guide that came with the ballot. Oregon has had vote-by-mail for years and years. We do not have voting locations - it's all by mail.

Summary:

Currently, marijuana cultivation, possession and delivery are prohibited; regulated medical marijuana use permitted. Measure replaces state, local marijuana laws except medical marijuana and driving under the influence laws; distinguishes "hemp" from "marijuana"; prohibits regulation of hemp. Creates commission to license marijuana cultivation by qualified persons and to purchase entire crop. Commission sells marijuana at cost to pharmacies, medical research facilities and to qualified adults for profit through state-licensed stores.

90% of net proceeds goes to state general fund, remainder to drug education, treatment, hemp promotion. Bans sales to, possession by minors. Bans public consumption except where signs permit, minors barred. Commission regulates use, sets prices, other duties; Attorney General to defend against federal challenges/prosecutions. Provides penalties.

Effective January 1, 2013; other provisions.
A bill that is almost the same was shot down in 2010 - not even close.

"Best wishes" and all of that.

great information, both regarding the thread title as well as internal Oregon politics. I visited Eugene/Springfield area for the first time a few years back, right about the time of the Country Fair?? Anyway it is the town where my dad grew up back in the 40's.......what a great vibe also got to travel out to Florence on the coast then drove north.

again thanks for this great thread and information I have recently switched back to living soil thanks to the inspiration here.
