Here's the price I pay for not taking the cloning seriously enough. It looks like I'll preserve all the different phenos as long as the gel cups work. Don't tell nameless about these clones. I was admiring his clones over at "Freedom 35" and mine look terrible in comparison.

BAHAHAHA busted. i wondered why i was struck with sudden interest in what youve been up to. lmao. ears a burnin i guess.
seriously though, im more concerned about the wires than the state of the clones. cloning takes time man, its effin hard sometimes, but its easy as hell to move extension cords and outlets away from water... not scolding you or anything but id be a bad friend if i didnt mention it yknow? :) i know sometimes its not possible but then you could at least cover the cords or something, i have a ballast near a rez and i have no other option, so i set it on a cement block and covered it with a plastic lid lean to setup. do what you can!

also, whats all this crazy stuff your putting those cuts in? i applaud you for trying stuff out, but you should have some plugs or cubes goin too just in case... maybe get a 50 ct rapid rooter tray that comes preloaded with plugs and throw a mat under it. remove whatever plugs your not gonna use and keep water in it... i know the mats are like 25 $ but they last forEVAHHH. trays reuseable too, but i think im going to start buying a new insert every time, i feel like im losing time because i cant keep them totally clean....
edit. you have a crazy white mat i see. derp! also i guess you could be moving the trays to water them. i dunno. i just imagined you watering out of a can onto those little 3inchers and water splashing onto that cord right there. dont want you to blow a fuse!

just my two pennies bro!

complacency is a growers worst enemy. were here to keep each other in check. i hope you would not hesitate to do the same for me! a large reason i am so active on here is because this place keeps me steppin razors.

twice my size....

cause im dangerous :)

Busted is right........ ha, ha............ Most of the wires are temp sensors. My heat mat died last year and I was too cheap to buy another ($79) so I'm using mrs smilley's heating pads. I water with a syringe and all the power is protected by a ground fault circuit interrupter. Not much chance of electrocution but a good recipe for cloning failure.

I should have started under a dome, but I was feeling cocky and went without. The gel cups are an experiment and really, the cuttings in them look the best at this time. Thanks for looking in nameless, and I'll try and do better next time, I promise............... :comfort:

Hey bro I snapped a pic for you of my keeper BH pheno. In this pic from left to right it's Bubblegum, Blockhead, and Agent Orange, in order of most to least frost so you can see the comparison. The BH probably has about a week left on it.

Beautiful plants dude, excellent growing!! You can sure tell the Blockhead from the big giant fan leafs. The Blockhead sure filled in nice for you. I hope I get one as nice as that. I'm going to go to bigger pots for the Blockheads next crop and see if I can get mine to fill in more like yours.

Thanks for sharing, gingerale, that's the first mature Blockhead I've seen. I'm sure the closet Blockhead lurkers are smackin their lips......... :thank you:

Yeah this is one of the medium yielding phenos. There was one which yielded much more but the smoke to me was somewhat bland. It did go over well with the crowd though, so go figure. It does have big fan leaves for sure, to go along with its big branchy sativa structure. All in all there are some good phenos in this seed offering from Beanho and definitely some keepers. I probably won't be growing this one extensively but I like the smoke and I will keep a plant or two of it around. Got a big one in a 3 gallon getting ready to go in there soon.

Day F20 Update

Day F20 Update

Sorry no pics tonight, I just wanted to make a few notes for my own record.

Males - The HSD cutting is producing lotsa pollen. I've got a packet in the fridge and will collect another packet tomorrow. I pollinated several buds on my favorite female HSD yesterday and the pistils are already shriveling. The male BH cutting only produced a little bit of pollen and started wilting so I pollinated several buds on 2 different BH females (tonight) and discarded the male cuts. So, no BH pollen for later but I'm hoping for 50 - 100 f3(?) seeds or whatever they call them.

Clones Day V10 - The pro mix clones are starting to root and are perking up a bit. I'm not saying I'm out of the woods yet but things are looking up. I may lose a BH pheno (maybe not) and it's one of my fav's, but it looks like I'll have a nice assortment for crop 2. Cloning is my weakest skill, and I'm always doing it hillbilly style. Oh, the gel cups aren't rooting (yet) but the foliage is a lot better looking than the pro mix clones so I'm still hopeful. If the gel cups take, I'll have 2 of every female for sure.

Flowering Plants - I'll highlight them later in the week but the HSDs are really putting out the pistil and doing exactly what I was hoping. The BHs are not quite so pistilly (except one) but are looking great too.

So far I'm really happy with the way things are playing out........... :watchplant:::canabis: :smoke:

:) Hey OldLuck, good to see your still following. I'm starting to take a shine to the Blockheads. The girl on the right in the last BH pic is really frosting up good. Quite different than the other 3. It's also the smallest. Very different from the HSD, all of the BHs. The fan leafs are massive. I thinking they're in the way, but I'm just gonna lettem do their thing. AS for the smell, the room reeks, but I'll have to get back to you on that....... :chin:

Lookin' Good smilley.

Got the nutes, small bottles. Was going to use them on BH seeds. Now I'm thinking I'm better off trying the nutes on a female clone. Don't want to run out of nutes half way thru. Or waste it on males.

Be watchin' yours ...mitsu

Hi mitsu. Your gonna love the PBP. I just buy the small bottles too. A bottle of the "Grow" will last me 3+ crops at 12ml/gal including the big 20 plant seed start. I've been using the "Bloom" at 10ml/gal and I expect it to last partway into the 3rd crop before having to reload at the hydro store. With the water starting at ph 7.0 (for me) I haven't had to add any ph adjuster at all. The ph is always ending up at 6.3 - 6.5 for both Grow and Bloom. Not showing any deficiencies except for a bit of "claw" going on on a couple of the smaller HSDs which I think is an over watering issue. I had issues following the weekly mixing instructions last year so I'm going with this lower feeding rate and the girls aren't complaining. The plants might tolerate double this feeding rate, I don't know and I'm afraid to find out. :)

My advice for the Blockheads is to give em as much veg as you can and pot em up into as big pots as you can and stake them when they get above 2 ft. There's not much stretch to them so if you've got limited headroom and grow horizontally I think they'd do great. Gingerale doesn't recommend topping them so I'm going to follow his advice on the clone crops. He's got me concerned with his mention of mold late in flower so I won't be doing any foliar feeding or spritzing.

Good luck with the BHs dude, I'm looking forward to seeing how they run for you....
