Here's a few more pics from today, day 53 flowering. Again, this is the extreme sativa pheno. Still has 2 weeks or so to go. Remember, I shoot the pics thru color correcting sunglasses to remove the H.P. light so you may see the rims ocassionally- sorry.

Nice, but the pheno I'm talking about is WAY more sativa-like. I have some similar to your pic too but I don't consider yours anything more then the regular Cocoa Kush dominate pheno. The "extreme-sativa" pheno is totally different with twice the resin and just running foxtails to form the bud. I'll put a pic up when the camera becomes available later tonight.

I've seen airy whispy buds just covered in crystals, total sativa leaves and looks to be pouring out crystals

looks tasty as hell

THAT'S THE ONE........ again I've now grown a total of over 32 of these plants over 2 grows and found only 1 like it. When you see it, you know right away that's the one. It's not like any of the other pheno's. Everyone on Opengrow always calls it the "extreme sativa" pheno and it's the perfect description for it........

well fuck

somehow she was lost

the others are all kusy, the lost one was straight sativa fire

I have 3 phenos.

1 super kush leaning . Small hard nugs.

1 sativa leaning , super resinous . Short and bushy though .

1 60/40 sativa leaning type, crazy resin , nice yield. Amazing smell and taste. Potency a 7. My keeper.

I'll post some pics when I have a chance

I thought that mine was the cocoa kush dom. pheno, too. Esko told me on opengrow that it was actually the Chocolope pheno. The cocoa kush is the taller, higher yielding pheno. I also grew out some of the chocolateberry fems and they got real tall and were quite sativa like, too. Longer, 11 week flower.

Here's some more of my cut. at 9 weeks she's perfect....

Nice pics. I just wish the strain was a little more potent. It's a nice smoke but there are many other choices out there that kill this strain potency wise........... but it's easy to grow and with a slightly below average yield. AND, I've grown the strain twice and haven't really found anything "chocolate" in it. It should have been named something else......

did you ever read the part about a long cure needed to bring out the flavor?

few months and it SUPPOSEDLY tastes like dark chocolate and sour cream

Hey DIDM..... if u remember, I grew it last crop too and have smoked it thru til this current crop. I've found loads of berry and fruit and had a few plants have a smitten of chocolate in flowering, but have NEVER tasted anything chocolate within it.

In my mind, strains like DNA OG Kush #13, Sweet Seeds Sweet Cheese, and Breeders Choice Cheeseberry Haze are way better in every way (except price). Mind you, I'm not knocking it- but I'm not waiting around for 3 months for a bit of chocolate to show up, if it ever does. Bottom line, it's just not potent enough for my liking. I know others feel differently though........

Get your facts straight........ one parent was D.J. Shorts and the other was DNA's Chocolope. Esko produces some fine strains, that's all I care about.
