Back in the 70s we got alot of Opiated Thai stick. Ive been told since, that the process involved soaking the dried Thai sticks in the milky water liquid left over from making quantities of Heroin. And thats what I believe it was.

where I'm from, a lot of people buy heroin and cheap colombian pressed brick,and mix them both and smoke it, they do it for personal use though, not to sell; and btw heroin is way more expensive than colombian brick; however, the colombian "cripi" is more expensive than heroin or cocaine.

btw, this unholy mixture of colombian shit weed and heroin is called 'camboyano', or in english 'cambodian'.

I saw so many times how many neighbors who smoke a joint of this mixture, and climb a huge natural rock-wall, without ropes or anything; crazy mofos! lol

they might as well just light money on fire...you can't smoke heroin like you would weed. You need to vaporize heroin like on foil, direct flame is too hot and destroys the dope. So lacing weed with heroin wouldn't even work

I remember the smoke well . I got through a few ozs myself , called Nepalese in the UK when it was here . Sure it was good stuff but not all it seemed . Apparently the (opiate) bits were a myth created to explain the whiter pieces in the hash & were more or less mould as the bud had`nt been dried completely or something similar . I have had Opium in raw form & collected some myself but have yet to see a white opium in raw form .
I`m sure George Cervantes said something about the hash in one of his books & said it was an urban myth .

I was getting the black by the plate. I can remember a few times sitting down to a full bowl of the white bits and getting rocked right outa my shorts. Whatever the white bits were we enjoyed the hell out of them.

I have had sticks dipped back in the late 70,s early 80's.. There was no question that these had opium on them. We all know what being high is like no big deal. dipped Thai Sticks would make you very dopey lethargic slow motion. Sometimes I got sick.. These where not around very often. Im pretty sure I enjoyed them half a dozen times back then...

Hey icmagers....I grabbed opium many times upon people (Sahel, Sahara)who use it traditionally since centuries...they also use weed & resin since ever too...but the two things are not mixed...opium is really considered as a medicine...mostly used by old men & old women... usually, they just stick a dab under their tongue...or even in their shoes! (alkaloids just pass thru the skin)... raw natural opium color is always dark...when put in the mouth, opium has an awful bitter taste, and make your teeth black...when inhaled, it has an absolutely wonderful & unforgettable musky taste...not easy to vaporize opium...it require some training & tools...never seen hash or weed laced with it...neither in Europe nor in my African trips...doesn't seem logical...as stated here, maybe some individuals make it for personal use....don't know about Asia, never been there...

Therefore those sticks your talking about were more money taking into account being dipped..I believe one stick went for anywhere from $20.00 to$40.00 depending on who you got it from and at best you could only get 4 joints. headband 707

It was a very long time ago, 1979 at the Iowa Jam. We were sitting in the old Pinto wagon, rolling a few for the concert. A dude walking by shared a pipe. It had white chunks mixed in a what looked like a fried bowl. I asked what that was, he said "Qualudes and Reefer"

We sat there saying "wow" and saying it backwards, "wow" for about an hour. We missed the opening band but enjoyed Head East, Nazareth and Ted Nugent under the sun, tits everywhere

you'll never find it on the streets, maybe from a close friend, I have seen high grade opium hashed up with BHO oil and made into a product that could be solar ripped...

If BHO and hash and cannabis do it for you, don't go use opiates if you can help it...

I love opiates but im not gonna sit her an glorify their use and tell others to be encouraged to do it..they are addicting and will make you sick if you don't respect them

I just knew the right people lol. We also got sticks that where dipped in oil... People will always try to make more money by adding things...If you have never smoked Opium then I can see why someone wouldn't know the difference.

Spent a little time along the Mekong River in the late 60's. We got Thaisticks and another breed of MJ that the locals told us was "cured in opium". The "other breed" was buds rolled in striped brown and beige waxed paper about 3/4 the size of a roll of dimes with minute white flakes of ? covering the buds.Don't really know what it was...but I do know I've never smoked anything like it in the last 50 years. It was hallucinogenic to a degree and you were worthless/useless, sometimes incoherent, and totally RIPPED for about 45 minutes after sharing a joint with three friends. Heavy.

nothing to do with weed but back in the early 80's i had a good hook up for opium it came in a bar about 1" diameter in dark brown with a somewhat tarry consistency and that characteristic opium smell if you broke it up into grams without gloves within a minute you would feel the wind rushing between your ears just from the handling the stuff quite an experience

Hello all,

Call me stoned. Some years ago--never mind how long precisely--having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world. It is a way I have of driving off the spleen and regulating the circulat....... all right enough.

In the mid to late 70's I was a sailor in the US Navy. I was stationed in San Deigo my last year and a half. Anyway I would be able to buy 7"-8", 1/2" diameter thai sticks for $15-$20 for a while.

It was light brown with maybe an orangish hue with a sticky coating to it and it was the bomb. It was reputed to be opianated thai weed and that is what I recall.

Some of the most amazing buds I have ever had in some respects.

Wished some old time thai stick would come my way again.
