I do not demand anything of my neighbor then what is not demanded of me.

I will go further to say that I am not happy with how much I pay in taxes and what is done with it. However, no governement can function to serve the collective needs and services without taxes. That said, I feel the tax codes are desparate need of reform and there is gross injustices taken by the very rich. But thats another thread.

I find it repugnant I have to pay just a little more for those that do not pay. That I have to work just a little bit harder so that others can "skate" while spouting quotes from founding fathers taken out of context to justify their actions.

I am not speaking of those that "can not" pay I am speaking to those that "will not" pay.

The taxes you pay for at the pump, at the grocery store, at the the restuartant are consumption taxes. Now I am being taxed again on my income as your buddy Thomas Jefferson (a good man I think with views I can get behind) stated in the text below. How is this fair or "just" for myself and the rest of my fellow countrymen that do pay income tax while you pay only consumption taxes?

(1) IRC 280(e) is an immoral double / punitive taxation in lines with the original marijuana tax act. The systems version of fair taxation on cannabis is 100% of revenue. That is not actually fair or moral. Judging cultivators for not turning over 100% of revenue is an interesting view, and not Jeffersonian or in line with the first quote you posted.
