Hi guys,

Long time lurker first time poster. I would like to share a few things with you folks and see what you think.
I have been at it for about a year. Room was recently redone but not complete.
Currently I have Mikado 1, Mikado 3, White Panda, OG Kush Moms.
In flower I have Mikado 1 and 3 White Panda, Og Kush, Purple Kush, OGxBlue Sat. and some bag seed.
I don't have all the details about wattage and sq footage at the moment but all that and pics will come real soon.
Looking forward to your input!

CFL's have made what would have been dry times, high times for me. I was pleasantly surprised how much you can pull with these cheap little bastards when you use em' right. I just went with mainly walmart standard 23W (not cool white). I kept em' cranked down as close as I could to the plants throughout growth and some were literally in between the buds when it finished.

how much did that yield

Got access to an awesome camera tonight!

Might as well post tonight's pics:

(For those that don't know, these were flowered for 68 days under four 42w 2700K CFL and two 42w 6500k CFL (Total 252w) in a cabinet that holds 36 of these in a 2.01 sq ft space.)

Great set up man, i admire your skill. I was wondering if certain strains grow single colas like that or do u have to train them?

Keeping your container size small and then lopping off little fluff branches before flowering kicks in helps.. but we're talking about trimming like 1-2 little branches per plant.

If your container size gets past about 20 oz (think 20oz soda bottle) the plants will start to get a lot bushier. The bigger your container, the bushier your plants will get.

I'm using 8 24 watt 2' long T5 HO 3000k in a 3x2' area these are 20 days in to flower. Unknown strains gifted clones.

What kind of yields are you guys getting per plant of cfl's ? I know strain and methods obviously play a huge role but still, im curious what kind of yield you guys pull. My first harvest is a month atleast away.

That depends on container size, veg time, wattage, too many factors.

My personal best so far is 40.3g dry from a 1gal. I average around a oz per 1gal though.

Oh nice. An ounce of dried bud from 1 gal. I'll be happy with half that :) Both of mine are in more then a gallon of soil

my m8's cfl wardrobe has 1 cfl blue spec 250w in it currently & was planning putting in another 250w cfl red spec when he goes to 12/12 but he has a temp of 25 degrees & humidity of about 65 % when light is on.
there is a whole been cut out for a small extractor ( thats still to be fitted).
do u think the wardrobe could cope with another 250?
any other tips would be great, its the dudes 1st medicenal grow.

I was wondering what the ideal size for cfl's was.
Not total wattage, but what is the most effecient size bulb to use to get to one's total wattage.
For example if I wanted to use around 125w in a cab, would it be better to just get a 125w bulb from a hydro store or combine either 42w bulbs, 26w bulbs, etc until I get around 125w total?

26/42w are the most efficient CFL bulbs. I'd rather have the 26/42's personally.
