DR60 Pl-l tent

well, ya know what they say...
When the DR60s rockin, dont come a knockin.

I'm kind of praying for males. I was supposed to have a 3x6 space but now the area of my house that was going to contain that is no longer suitable. So it looks like this 2x2 is gonna have to work. I just ordered 4x 55w ahsupply lights, woohoo. Theyre currently under ~125 watts of fluorescents, some of them are starting to stack nodes pretty nicely. And theyre danking in veg, damn chem genes, haha. I had to put my carbon filter in.

I'm thinking about taking a clone off each, flowering the from seed plants to see sex, then sog'ing the remaining female clones. Seems like it'd be the best way to use the available space while still being able to flower each plant for selection?

Sounds like a plan to me. I've wanted to see how a sog run would work out in a tiny space like this. If I had some mothers I would totally give it a go myself.

Look familiar? :tiphat:

I'm really impressed with these lights. I'm not a handy person so it was a bit of a task to set it all up but it was worth it.

The penetration off these bulbs is actually great. I had a light similar to this in there to start
http://www.amazon.com/Hydrofarm-FLT24-2-Foot-Fluorescent-System/dp/B002JQBQZQ/ref=pd_sim_lg_3

and its like night and day. The plants already seem to be perking up to bathe in the light if you can believe it.

Looks really good. I am thinking of making something like that for my dr60 tent. You need 4 of the lights to fill the 2x2' area so the ready made 2 light units are a little weak there.

If you can do some close up shots of the frame or describe it a little I would be thankful. I think the good flowering area from these lights is within about 10 inches from the bulb. That is from knna.

Hey man, it's super easy to make the frame. I left my camera in my office so I cant take a picture, but if you look on the first page of this thread pm2000's is there. I basically made a ghetto version of his out of thin wood strips.

Essentially there are 3 wooden strips perpendicular to the lights, with each light secured onto the wood strips via screws. All you need is a screwdriver and some method of punching a hole in the metal reflectors. They're not super thick so it's not hard at all.

Back at it! Changed up styles a bit, doing a mini sog-esque grow for mother hunting. Same lights and setup but changed to coco, and going to bottom feed. Also cleaned up the ducting and wiring some more. Have the fan blowing out onto the ballasts as well getting double duty on the cooling.

Will take them to first topping, clone the tops, and flower out after healing for comparisons and selection.

1x dinafem sweet deep grapefruit

Glad to have y'all on board.

Updates will be a lil slower this round since we are just at seedling stage and I won't be doing any "large" scale flowering like with the previous scrog, but in due time I hope to turn this into a perpetual sog with 4 plants going in every 2 weeks or so once the mothers have been found.

BTW they are in a 2x2 flood tray/table right now and I thought I had ordered a flat bottom regular tray. So there are grooves and such holding the pots off the bottom which is going to make bottom feeding a wasteful task. Any ideas on what to fill the holes/grooves with? Otherwise I am going to get another damn tray that fits into this one, maybe even two if I can only find a suitable one in a smaller size.

10 day growth.

Crude figure of the plant orientation:
DF DF DF SDG
DF DF C99 C99
C99 C99 C99 C99
C99 C99 C99 C99

Some leaves doing some weird twisting and looking mottled - thinking it may be ph issues. I didn't ph my water in the first few like a bonehead and they got underfed to start off. Going to do a reset flush and feed 1/2str.

Otherwise they look pretty good - really showing the difference in vigor between the phenos. Diesel Fires already smelling skunky/danky, sweet deep grapefruit smells "green/fresh", C99s have no discernable scent.

They had a bit of a stall previous to the flush, some lower leaf freakouts but they are back on track. Bottom feeding full time now and going to start weekly water top flushes this week. Still keeping the lights about a foot away but they will start slowly coming down now. I didn't want to keep them toooo compact since I want the tops for clones.

Going to need that clone/mother cab done soon!

I should mention that the Diesel Fire were thanks to TonyGreenHand, so thanks to him for the opportunity to pop these. They stink like hell already!

This plant has been doing this weird variegated leaf thing. One other plant was also but quit soon after; this one persists. Thought it was a def at first but everyone else is fine and this one perked back up in all regards other than the mottling.

They are starting to show sex. Been a while since I've popped seed and not 100% sure but it looks like 7-8 females and 2-3 males on the C99 side. SDG is fem. At least one ecsd leaning female DF but most of those are still not showing for sure.

About time to thin the herd - getting packed in there. Got my leds ordered - clone/top, and flip to 12/12 soon. Been real cold in the house lately since I can't run heat due to several reasons but temps staying ok in tent. 1gal/side nutes in the bottom feeding trays seem to last about 2 days right now.
