Is OGK still the most sought after cut(s) on the boards? ?

I see lots and lots of ignorant posts..
Someone says I like "xxx" more and everybody are like:
noob, idoit, you havent smoked the real one ... WTF :deadhorse:

Different people have different tastes.
How can you tell someone whats better for him or what he likes the most...

Vodka is stronger than Beer.
So Vodka is better... right ? :chin:

I did not think we were arguing which was best...just which is most sought after. I don't think OG is best (just an opinion) but it is most popular where I am.

6ULDV8 - Are you serious? I kinda feel like you are just trying to rile this thread up out of boredom. There is no way anyone with any exp in growing or smoking would give Mazar, Oasis, Green Crack, Cali-O the thumbs up over the OG's. You have never smoked any and its obvious. I have grown ad smoked all the strains you named and the are garbage! Even if I didnt have access to the OG's I would never grow any of that shit again in any room of mine. The mere fact that you mentioned Dutch P. as a good source of genectics is laughable. They have not been relevent since...what 90?

By the way GC came from Georgia and not Canada and your Purple Kush is prolly from BC Bud Depot!! You need to read up and grow some shit before the jokes really get goin cause right now you are the funniest poster I have seen on IC since Yummy was active!
GC supplied to the West coast from Canada!!?? Too funny.

did you know that green crack; originally cush was first bred in california? 80% skunk x 20% indica and not 42% like some claim.

brought to BC and backcrossed; then stablized, it is a favorite here and i wholesale it to the states. you say OG ('s) which proves to me you know nothing of good smoke and genetics. theres only 1 OGKUSH. to knock the NL's is just stupidity and shows me your actual experience. theres around 35 kushes on the market, most hybrids.

ogkush is good, i will not shoot it down but i perfer the wild masterkush hybrid of all the kushes. IMHO thats if im allowed to have an opinion here? the vancouver seed bank is good and has most mmj and mj genetics as well as v.i.s.d.

have you ever tried the godbud or the sweetgod?

It looks like Legend OG from some pics I have seen posted on here. The Legend OG is the closest one I have found anyways.

Its a cut thats been around awhile I just know that the people I grow with have it and if anyone else outside of them has i wouldnt know who. I am sure its around though. My buddy who sourced it originally got it from an older grower who wont touch any other OG, we were lucky enough to get a cut in the group and we havent let it go since. I call it 3 point cause it throws 3 point leafs all the way through. Buds are medium to small nugs that have a nice earthy flavor to them. Definitely no huge yeilding OG just high grade top shelf buds. When its grown proper.

Thanks! Sounds like you sourced a winner

Thanks Booyah! I think so too. And the more I look at MoneyMike's pics I think it could very well be the Legend cut as they have very similar traits. Oh well no way to really know, I just know I got a good solid OG cut to work with. I will be using her in some crosses I have planned for this year along with quite a few others. Time to get back into it after a short break I took.

BD and GC = most commercial cuts going in CA, mostly outdoors now days... Lots of smokers like them but their name has still been dragged through the mud and most growers or brokers wont touch em.

This is so sad, Blue Dream is one of my very favorite things in the universe, a shining example of how life is on my world.

I've been seeing everything "kush" in in the great white north, some folks claim it's "OG", some call it anything under the sun. I've not been impressed with much of it, but most of my strain tasting has been disappointing. I always expect something more, and rarely I get it. I loved Blue Dream because it was so different than everything else going around.

I dislike, however, the "trendiness" of the whole thing. People selling one thing, calling it the trendy thing, and then the thing that was good gets a rep for being bad and it makes it bad. So very sad.

6UL - The only thing you are wholesaling is bad info and retarded remarks showing your ignorance. Bred in Cali and stabilized in Canada?? Sure it was! And who is bringing in Green Crack from Canada when there are so many better strains around and being grown right here. You bravado and bullshit is almost on equal terms at this point. You are right that there may have been 1 OG to start, but there are def many phenos and hybrids out today that still blows Mazar, Cali-O and all the other lame cuts you named earlier out of the water. If you and your circle are still growing that mersh I know you arent importing anything but internet jokes and laughs for for the rest of us. Godbud? Please! Again you name that strain like it is some fire! Really? Godbud? Too funny. And no you cant have an opinion when it is so freakin lame!! Go start a thread on all your super fire cuts you named and how you wholesale GC to the US, cause this one is about OGK's nerd! When was the last time someone asked "Who has the best Mazar cuts right now?" I can tell ya the answer........never!

Regional flavor may vary - the cat who is "wholesaling" the GC could very well be doing so - those who aren't in the know, aren't in the know.

I can tell you for certain, even when involved and friendly with many local growers in some areas it's just hard to get your hands on the good stuff. I'm sure there's a market for the stuff he's selling, and it's probably different from others.

Up in the part of Canada I inhabit you can get a million obviously different types and its all either M or Kush. Mostly Kush. If you drive 100 miles south across the border, what I consider regs is hi-test. $20-30 a g easy. it's sad.

Just saying, it's not the same everywhere. That said, wholesaling to the states is like inviting your in-laws to fuck in front of you. Not a good idea. Talking about it is even worse.

Green Crack has not been the same in Cali for years now.

The last batch of solid properly grown top shelf Green Crack was back in 05 then all of a sudden this nasty looking GC with little dense nuggs came...I remember it being more on the sativa fluff side with medium density. Original green crack is a great strain.

It just got lost and tempered with somewhere down the line. Im sure the original cut of GC is superior to most. I am from Cali so maybe other states have variant GC like some stuff popping up around here.

OGKush is also one of these strains that seem to pop up everywhere but often is not the real deal. The OG smell is in many strains and are labeled OG but the true OG Kish properly cultivated is everything the hype claims.

The lack of strong sativas that have been grown until ripe is very rare around the S.Cal area. Mostlikely due to the long flowering time. Quality is replaced by fast flowering strains that lack the uplift intelligent high. The trick is finding bud that has been flowered all the way through. OGKush harvested at ripeness is also hard to come by.

I've been really impressed by some Solar OG I've been smoking from a shop around here. Very strong complex high. OG seems to in everything tho....somewhat dissapointing.

You are allowed to have an opinion and voice it. And, to me, it is as valid as any other opinion. I apologize for asking the question that started this.

I am a commercial grower and I get more for OG and it sells out quicker than anything else I have ever grown. That, no doubt, influences my opinion.

I actually admire that you would voice your opinion and stick with it. Not sure I would have been so brave...probably not.

I have noticed from being around the forums a long time and back in the OG days all the Green Crack pic's I have seen never had any purplle in it. I know the environment can change the colour some what, but I am sure it hasn't got that much colder in the last ten years to account for all the purple showing up in everything that use to be strickly green - actually I thought it was getting warmer. It's to the point now that even elite cuts and even seed lines that were always green have that slight kush look to it and tend to go purple with even a small degree of temperature change.

I believe the Kush is like the Skunk was years ago, incorporated into everything to the point that it was hard to find anything without its genetics incorporated into the mix. The Kush, I believe is now the new Skunk.

Obviously it has excellent traits for it to be used as much as it is and the hype really is deserved IMHO of most real cuttings, so i'm not putting down the 'real' Kush genes of today - it's great and I love my cutting of Bubba Kush. If you look back to old pic's of many strains they look much different than they use to, but I guess this is the artificial progression of Cannabis that we humans excert on the plant and is to be expected, but is it really progression? I don't know. It just might be a good idea for some of us to keep these old 'green' genetics alive in case it is not the route we should be taking.

I just thought I would share on what I have seen happen in the last ten years or even longer since the Kush has shown up. I don't consider myself a professional on the subject, but I am just commenting on my personal observations - so please take this into account before saying I am wrong - I very well could be.

My green crack is lime green with bright orange hairs and a candy mango skunkish smell, no purple in it. Sourced in CA. Good daytime smoke for light smokers. heavy tolerance and you'll pass on it for others.

heres my GC outdoors in a greenhouse
