I like a lil leaf left, it gives character. Super trimming takes too long and it looks like a robot trimmed your shit. I used to trim super close and all my nugs looked the same. You gotta find that happy medium. I can't stand over trimmed buds.

Yep machine trimmed = fail in my mind. Can't be AAA if cut it wet and drop it into a machine.
i actually prefer my buds to have a military hair cut... As close of trim as possible

no doubt... I have a TrimPro Rotor and I used it on 2 harvests and now I just still hand trim the whole things... sometimes on small shit or very dense round flowers it does a nice job but the majority of work I just do the old fashioned way... and I would NEVER put bud from the trimpro in my own jars.. lol...I do not like smoking leaf one bit...

Or people that dont want that commersh.. perhaps it just me but i dont want someone else trimming my bud. quality cure comes with sugar leaf intact, trim before smokin
Mine was barely trimmed so it was probably me, props nugs look perfect.
I throw away the buds and smoke the leaves and make hash out of stems. Pack full bowls of seeds also.

I would rather vaporize bho than smoke all those carcinogens. I would like to see a blind test of who could tell, smoking without seeing it, the better manicure of two of the same buds. I don't think too many would be able to tell. It's usually the rookie pot snob types that want their nugs with buzz cuts, USUALLY. Flame on.

Well personally I prefer a small amount of leaf because it's telling...you can trim off burned leaves, sippling, PM, ect and with a real tight trim you'd never know. Also I consider sugar leaves to be extremely important as shields; they protect the THC on the bud that would be much easier lost if the leaves weren't present. I hate looking at bud under a scope to see what looks like a kiefed bud. Often times it's not kiefed, but just mangled and smeared on peoples fingers, jars, turkey bags, ect.
Besides that I know a few growers who don't trim much at all, but then just trim on the spot if they're rolling, packing a bowl, or vaping; leaving out all leaf matter but still holding all the THC that may have been lost if the leaf wasn't present.
I personally HATE when my trimmers go close. Before getting started I like to show them how I like it done and then it's green light. Unfortunately I had continuously had to explain to my friend it's not what you want your weed to look like, it's how I want it trimmed. The guy seriously mangled some gorgeous buds and to boot he only trimmed tops...My indoor from him came out looking like outdoor and when I brought packs around, people pulled out his buds thinking they were something else completely (not in a good way). Also when you trim that close there's a lot more oops moments and often times you cut into the bud making it look like you're hiding something like mold which in my books is all bad. He even wanted to use electric scissors, stating the best way to trim is with the top pointed towards you and scissors pressed against the bud with out ever stopping cutting!?! Needless to say he will never trim for me again.
Anyways that's my 2 pennies...UP.

My buyers prefer to buy buds that are trimmed proper over some shit that looked like it was grown outdoors and you cant see the bud cause its too leafy. Trust me people who are buying weed dont want to see a bunch of leafs on their buds if they do to each their own but I havent met anyone like that yet. Cant recall anyone telling me they would like to see more leafs on their buds. lol
some cookie packs are leafier because the fan leaves are just as frosty as the nugs it feels wasteful cutting them off like gonzo pic shows i see a fair amount of cookies that are trimmed like that...and some growers are lazy/cheap and like the extra 14g of weight some leafs add onto their packs, stretching every harvest...as for my nugs, none of that batch is for sale i smoke it all and give to friends, plus it got seeded and im making hash so why trim it up to market standard..
sometimes i use the frosted leaf as a base for my bowls, then crumble pure plant vagina topped with honey oil extract....the leaf catches all the melting wax so it doesnt gather in the bong stem..
although i agree for the most part if a pound is not trimmed well i am definately not paying top dollar for it, gonna be some haggling and some "ehhhhhhh, trim is bad, gonna lose sheckles oye gavult" comments...
