A SWC99 X Bubblicious top.

Plants are doing well. Still feeding and drinking heavily . Humidity is constant around 50% in grow space with a constant temp of about 78-79* F. All plants are frosting up and bud development is constant. Looks like the stretch period is over. The SWC99 X Bubblicious plants are packing on the frost and exuding a heavy menthol/citrus/pine scent. Even the fans and stems are frosting up on these plants. Bubblicious a bit behind in the resin dept. but still looking good with the typical fruity sweet scent. Not seeing much difference between the plants under the MH compared to the HPS but Ive been rotating them once a week. One thing Ive noticed is that the plants in the centre that have a choice of the two lights tend to fan their leaves out towards the MH , not the HPS. They definitely prefer the MH.

Can I use Roots Organic CocoFiber Hydroponic Soilless Media as the medium in a Hempy, rather than the 70/30 perlite/vermiculite recipe? I think I can, but I am unsure to let the bucket sit for a couple days, because in the Hand Watering Coco thread it says you should try to feed at least once per day-and to not let the coco dry out. Would I be able to go up to full strength nutes, using the coco in a Hempy bucket? Thanks again guys!! Sorry bout all the newbie questions, Coco and Hempy Buckets are new to me lol

Yes you can use the coco instead of perlite/vermiculite. Take a look at the "coco hempy bucket" thread in the coco forum for more information regarding that, tons of people do it. Basically any hydroponic media works fine for hempy buckets, each one just has intricacies involved with them.

It took the plants I have going 7-9 days before they had reached the bottom of their 2 1/2 gallon buckets. As stated by Stihgnobevoli the size of the buckets and also the vigor and size of your plants will have to factored into that time frame.

i started my hempy grow today
i was wondering if anyone could tell me how long does it take
the roots to hit the res?

Fine lookin ladies Captn....

I put my babies (9) in their hempy's yesterday. They've been thru hell, Nearly fried em with too much heat cause I thought I was too cool at nite in my closet. Didn't have a thermometer. Then I doubled the cfls I had em under (from 138 to 312w) and again I think it was because I wasn't feeding enough, I nearly fried em again! Trimed the damaged leaves and couple of days later put the Hempys under a 1000k. Fed the hempsy till they leaked and cans see a big difference in 2 days! I truely think I was starving my plants and burning them with my lights! In my grow room 4' x 8' x 7' that ain't gunna happen. That's why I started with bag seed. Gotta learn form my mistakes.. :watchplant:

@mattkilla- I have to agree stihngo here....get all the elements right before worrying about yield. Genetics can play a big role in yield not to mention growers ability. Take your time and learn your strain and oh yeah, get the cab dialed in for best results. Good luck!
@seedlin-excellent attitude bro! Keep on working it and it'll pay off.

BioBizz didn't work out as well as I had hoped, seems like a Potassium deficiency problem throughout whole flowering, as well as other symptoms. PH was buffered by mixing calcites to the medium. I'm still a bit confused how to feed in verm/per medium with these bottles.

Next round I was thinking bout trying House & Garden, any of you have advice regarding what bottles to buy for a classic verm/per bucket?

Asked about it in House & Garden thread and one replied to buy all bottles.

@suspect-have you looked at jacks professional hydro nutes? Its pretty darn cheap, easy to mix and works very well. At 1 tsp/gal with a little less calcnit....we've done very well. Just a thought for your hunt.

I've been running Spurrs formula + some additives for the last few grows, getting much better trich production/flavor/yield than I was getting running Lucas in my hempy buckets. Not saying it'll do the same for everyone but Spurr's has blown Lucas out of the water in my particular setup.
