the stuff ive found contains 4% hydrated lime

That`s just reminded me as i forgot to mention it in my last post . I was going to ask wether you were aware of the lime in Gypsum . Do a bit more research if you can coz i`m not sure how your compost mix will fare with added lime . I am sure there is a neutraliser that can be added but i can`t remember if or what is is .
Time for some research methinks .

All this talk on M Ways reminds me of some-ut that happened a few yr ago . I had a job on trade plate delivery of top end cars & had to take a brand new Merc to Bristol from London . Hitching a lift back i got in a big Scania lorry going east along M4 & somewhere poss around mid way we came to a halt with some delay up ahead . Now it felt like i was 20ft up sat in this cab & i`m looking at the hedgerow alongside the hard shoulder . Now this was some big hedgerow along a field with a lot of Hawthorn & small trees in it & planted all over part of this field were dozens of MJ plants , i spotted poss 50 . It was only because i was so high up & we were static i saw them .
Reminds me of another story . Few yr back working on Farnborough airbase & coming home on M3 there was a few paddys building this police car stand for the old bill to catch unwary motorists . Behing this stand was a long fence & way behind that was the tops of a row of houses . Local paper few week later & one of the first cop cars sat on this stand was also taking a nosy in the back garden of the houses behind them because they could see quite clearly over the fence because of the height . You guessed it ! one fella only had a row of plants in his garden un-noticed by his neighbours but clearly visible to them bill sat in the panda !

Stay safe .

I know someone who designs the layout for motorway ,eg, tree's and shrubs bankings i never knew there was so much preparation that went into motorways....anyways

If it's a bit of motorway going through a built up area they plant Scandinavian pine trees to hide the motorway from houses as not to ruin the view and it also helps with the noise coming off the motorway. i think you would be better off growing behind these pine tree's as there's no chance of stationary cars / cop's seeing your grow.

just thought i would share that for those who want to grow next to the motorway :)

Bit of a walk today nr a MWay through a field right nr a small river & i`m thinking this has some good possibilities only to find around 20 well worked holes . Someone is making good use of the spot , lucky **** .
I wonder how this summer/autumns going to go , seems an odd season already . Temps up , my daffs flowered before the snowdrops , leaf buds breaking out on the Elders & saw my first Blackthorn in flower today . Lets hope we all get a good-un .

It was an area i thought of as i drove along the MWay a couple of days prior , was in slow lane & could`nt see right down into this spot . Couple of days later i`m along this road that runs under MWay nr the field so pulled up in a bit of a lay-by , grabbed bi-nocs & went wander . I`m not suprised it`s been used b4 as it`s ideal . Good luck to the grower .
The guerilla scene is certainly increasing as knowledge of the results increase but finding a lonely spot in amongst lots of peoples is really getting harder especially around my manor . Same old story , someones either wanting to grow or rippers are wanting to rip . Odds on a successfull harvest seem to be shortening so lets stay quiet & safe & hopefully unseen .

Like you say MJB it must be a nightmare trying to find plots in the south as everyone seems to be at it.It's hard work finding good plots even up here, I'm forced to grow in pine forests, where the soil is poor and carrying supplies in is tough work.Luckily there aren't many GGs up here although I did stumble across somebody's grow a few years ago_One day I'll find that south facing nettle patch with all day sun :)

I've always thought it's only a matter of time before this whole guerilla growing thing catches on. I've noticed a difference with people I talked to 5 years ago about growing cannabis outdoors in the UK, most people thought it couldn't be done or if it did the quality would be so low it wouldn't be worth anything. Now it seems to be getting more common especially with new strains on the market tailored to climates like ours.
Like you say MJBadger, people are catching on. When you can go out in spring, put a few plants down, come back in the autumn and have a substantial amount of sellable weed on your hands, peoples heads are going to start ticking.

Anyway, thought I'd start this year by showing you a little grow I did over the winter, it's critical mass by Mr. Nice.

I hope we get a summer like last year, I'm not sure what it was like for anybody else but I thought the weather was pretty good last year, good harvest too.

alright guys, hallo to the old regulars, irregulars etc
ive got a new site this year, ive got my seedlings going, ive got my shit together. I went to a marsh to plant out last year with a friend who is a tough street fighting man but was almost reduced to tears by the mossies and went to hospital a couple of days later. I didnt get one bite.
Running some seeds which are a mix of Dannish (HFH,Esben) outdoor genetics and UK clone only.
good luck everyone one
be brave

they did an experiment with 2 peeps in a tent, one freshly showered the other hadn't washed for days, the tent was partitioned down the middle separating them... a swarm of mossies were released into the small tent, the bulk percentage went for the dirty bloke.

a shower before going out, if the mossies really bother you, can help a notcieable amount... ive tried it and it seems to work, not perfect, but it seems to help alot.

yes Harold i eat garlic virtually everyday, often raw. cheers for the washing advice. Every year horseflies and mossies are terrible in spring on this marsh, less so later on.
Just remembered that the seeds that im running all started out from a thing on a UKoutdoor thread a few years ago, thanks again Wotamess, Esben et al. Im trying to make a strain, or a population, of reliable outdoor plants from those seeds crossed with ukcuts. Love Erdpurt.
cheers guys

a shower before going out, if the mossies really bother you, can help a notcieable amount

I have found it to be the opposite . I used to fish a lake & the one bank i favored was in shade a lot during the day & in the evening the mossies came out in their 1000`s . Clouds of the little fookers . The only thing that worked was Autan to some degree . But i found that if i had recently showered they were attracted to the hair after shampooing no matter how well it was rinsed so i never used to wash it at least a couple of days before we went .
Where i live is close to a lot of still water & we always have them in the home in summer evenings but they will ignore me if the GF is anywhere around & make a beeline for her , she said if there was 1 mossie in Wembley stadium it would find her in the crowd . The boffins reckon they are attracted to our breath but if thats the case we should all get as many bites as the next person .

How`s things Eddie ? hope you get a good season in .

Stay safe all .

im good, B, thanks. Ive found that totally covering up(hats, sleeves, tucked in socks)and keeping moving all the time works. once you stop moving they home in and strike. Anyway, im quite rugged and manly.........mosquitos wtf, we are talking about fertilizor bags full of ganja, im more worried about those bastard leafhoppers, every year they are free lunching on my plants, im starting to resent it.
respect to the farmers
