Went to Snowball this weekend what a fun time... Although Afroman didn't even play his set because of car troubles they said...

Just picked up some Sour Bubble today... sold on the fact that it may have been BOG's... now that I'm home not so sure haha but the nugs look nice. Anyone know where to find Bog strains in shops around the Dever/Boulder area?

They have Indiana Bubbleberry at 14er holistics in boulder. F'ing fire. The flavor is on point. and high is very nice. Can get you clones ordered as well, a load of very nice genetics available. I can post some picts tomorrow of it a few days before the chop.

I had a buddy who brought over some Indiana... I thought Bubblegum but maybe it was Bubble berry... I remember thinking to myself no gum taste here. The flavor was almost spicy and very unique to me. Wonder if we had the same meds

home depot is selling potable green houses right now
it's some kind of special buy for the spring so they wont be on the shelf forever.
it's small, only 5' x 6' ,but it's built pretty solid (all metal frame instead of plastic shit) and the clear PVC cover is fiber reenforced so it should last a while, and from 20 feet away you would have a hard time seeing what is in it.
for $100 it is worth a look.

I'm looking at real estate deep in the heart of the Rockies, but to be honest the driving sucks. Especially with snow on the ground. I'd imagine sliding down a mountain road just to get the groceries might get old.
Any inside scoop here, growers?

How far to Boulder is a good question... is the property in Boulder Co?
Will you have high-speed internet and access to a workout/ country rec center. If you're growing legally with permission unless you are the buyer.... I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you want to be left alone mountain living is not always the way to do it. In my case I think that there are too few people, lots of traffic and leo's. Sometimes I wish there was more snow because it's been so warm lately.
Driving does suck and you have to plan your life accordingly... it also forces you to either bunker down or spend the money to go up and down the hill for activities the farther away you live.

The only thing I regret about living in the mountains are the people that drink the water, have diets that don't allow them to absorb oxygen well, drink excessively and smoke. The combination is devastating for brain function...
LOVE the mountains... Absolutely fabulous scenery...
Get a subaru, seriously. The bigger 4x4's suck ass on mountain roads, don't care what tread you've got and chains are definitely a trip killer. Subie is light, AWD and there are thousands of them up here... a lot of folks won't buy anything else.
Get an R/O unit and a booster pump for clean water.
Make sure you have a backup generator if you're really remote... it gets damn cold at times.
At 10,000 feet the snow is different, much easier to deal with than other places I've been. It's dry, powdery and tends to blow away after a few days.... almost whiteout conditions at times and all of it snow picked up from the ground by the wind. So cool.
It can get wetter/heavier at lower elevations... ask around. Wet snow is crappy snow... at least for me.
Half a foot to a foot of snow falls.... I just sweep it off the porch with a broom, it's that light and fluffy.
Don't set yourself up for a daily commute if it involves a 'pass' through the mountains... even if it's clear all the time you'll get tired of driving the mountain every day.
The first winter at altitude takes the most adjusting to... think it through.

I live about 9,000 ft and this was the mildest winter I've ever seen in my life coming from the northern midwest. The whiteout conditions are spot on. I've often time sat and worried about my water supply wondering how clean it really is...

Driving is one of the worst parts of living in the mtns. I did it for a long enough time, won't do it any more. Mt. communities pretty much suck as far as any social scene, so you'll have to drive if you want to do anything. I agree about getting an AWD car, and make sure it's on 16" rims w/ 205 max width for the winter, 17" rims are common these days but the performance in snow isn't as good. An Impreza/WRX with 205/55/16 snow tires is easy and fun to drive in the snow.

we lived in the mountains for 26 years, now live in weld cnty. the biggest things we missed up there was easy shopping, fast food, and a social life. when we planned a shopping trip, we always tried to include as many other stops with the trip as possible...oh, and reserve yourself to the fact that no matter how hard you try to write a good to do list and grocery list, you will ALWAYS think of something you forgot, on the way home....just sayin
Lived in Carbondale for 2 years,.... Pretty, but never again. Driving everywhere to do anything and especially in the roaring fork valley EXPENSIVE!
I was talking to a Coworker today that lives in the mountains above longmont, she's looking to move down to the flat lands, the winter drive sucks and they simply don't have the opportunity to do any kind of gardening that doesn't involve lights. Great view, but nothing else she said.
