That doesn't read well bro. An 8th of Triangle Kush, Chemdog D or Urkle will fuckin REEK...It does not take a pound of the nug to find out that those strains are Loud! They're kickin you in the face like Bruce Lee....Even down to the GRAM! A whole turkey bag of nugs to get the nose?? Not helping this piece work its way in to my garden at all!
I think you may be over analyzing that a little too much. Prop said that he likes to smell batches that way not that he has to in order to pickup smells. Also loud doesn't mean smell alone, it's loud to your senses: visually appealing, great texture, strong apparent (and appropriate) flavor, and pungent smells attacking your pallet.

its been said a million times its all personal preference and depends on how your sample was grown. lots of bud will reek i had an 8th of bland tasting blackberry kush in my pocket in las vegas that was breaking peoples necks while walking through the casinos...
i have already given cookies the pocket test at bars and clubs and it will reek up your section just like the best of them...i actually have some top notch A++ Sour D right here with some of the animal cookies, both smack you in the face when the bag is opened just depends if you like sour fuel or minty cookies...i enjoy them both equally, the sour D was excellent daytime smoke while working in the garden and tasted fucking great. the cookies is good night time smoke for mixing with my beers, hits hard like a narcotic does the job nicely..

another cool thing im seeing with cookies = no trellis!
her stems are so thick and upright they manage to support colas nicely....i have SFV and Sour Ds falling all over the trellis nets but my cookies i havent even put in my trellis yet...didnt even stake them or nothing and they all stand tall.
trellis and bamboo stakes annoy me.....especially at harvest time..
