The beginning of my solution

Hello all and welcome to what I considering my answer for economic hardship and downfall due to a system I feel is extremely flawed. I do this because I personally like knowing if something was to happen, I always have cultivation to get me through. Its my safety net and peace of mind. So knowing what we know now let me introduce my plans and intended methods.........:whistling:

First and for most, I will be trying to maximize efficiency by using the minimal to achieve maximums results. I will have one flower tent and one veg/mom/clone tent. The flower tent measure 8' L x 4'W x 6.5'H and the veg tent measures 5'x5'x6.5.

The flower tent will be a combination of a 600w vertical grow and a stationary horizontal grow using 3 -- 12gallon soil beds lit by three LED lights. My good hearted intentions are too craft a perpetual cycle which will give me a harvest every month using strains the take 8ish weeks to flower.

The veg tent will house a 25site areo clone machine, my soon to bonsai mommas and the vegging plants that will replace the monthly harvest. I am using T5s and T8s for my veg tent which won’t total more than 200watts.

This is my concept. Veg the plants for 4 weeks, then they go into the flower tent. Using two flower lights and spacing things 4 weeks apart will give me the monthly harvest I am after once everything is filled and running smoothly. It takes a while to get to that point when you take in account making moms, taking clones, vegging, and then flowering. So in about 3-4 months from now I will have everything filled and running and most importantly….giving me the profits Im after to make this worth it.

And the most important aspect of this grow is everything is and will be done organically. So let me show you my pictures. Please keep in mind I just moved into this home so everything is in disarray and not at all setup. Between working full time, going to school full time, and establishing a successful grow operation, my time is very much used up and spent. I literally have zero free time during the week unless I want to cut into my sleep time (which I do to frequently so when Friday finally gets here I am totally spent and sleep for like 16 hrs straight). :muahaha:

Moving on…………….to the method of my madness..

Here is all my random equipment one accumulates from this lucrative hobby: A little bit of everything in there. Filters, fans, Lights, LEDs…ext….
photo13.jpg

And here is my mixing bay and soil ingredients center. My favorite spot, once again there is a little bit of everything here….2 different N/P bat guanos, worm castings, rock phosphates, gypsum, green sand, blood meal, bone meal, dololime, rice flour, Myco inoculates, kelp meal, alfalfa, azomite, food grade DE, two grades of perlite, and dry molasses. Think I covered it all…..?

photo21.jpg

My base soil…and usually I don’t buy any big brands in my mixes but during the winter months it is difficult to source good peat moss and soils.
photo16.jpg

My water tote with a float valve hooked up to my RO/DI filter (a must for AACT convenience in my opinion).
photo14.jpg

photo17.jpg

My newly bought veg tent. (It wasn’t shipped with corner brackets and had a slice in one of the sides. So the vendor is sending me a brand new one and letting me keep this tent!)
photo15.jpg

Here is the power draw of my 600w HPS which will be my vertical bare bulb. 567w at operating temp.
photo8.jpg

Here is the power consumption of the three LED lights that will light my 12 gallon soil beds. 498w total.
photo12.jpg

photo11.jpg

photo10.jpg

Here are those soil beds. Mixed about one week ago, gonna give them another 2 weeks before I plant in them. I am considering a live mulch but don’t have enough knowledge on the various clover covers to make a educated purchase of seeds so I will research when I have time. Each tote will have two plants in it.

photo9.jpg

And finally my back bone and support, the moms or soon to be moms. Exhibit One is a new life, she is Kong and a feminized seed which broke soil yesterday. :good:
photo6.jpg

The other two plants are clones and are hanging on for dear life. I am doing everything I can to keep them on this planet but things are not looking to promising. When I picked them up a few days ago from a buddy they were in a dark closet and had no light for probably 4-5 days and were kept in the same solo cups for probably 30-45 days receiving no type of nutrition. One is a Vanilla Kush and the other is Strawberry Diesel. Since receiving the clones I transplanted them in my dankly mixed soil and water with a AACT. Only time will tell…..

photo3.jpg

Well that is It for now folks. I think I am going to order 6 fem seeds to grow and flower out to keep my busy while I create a mom and establish clones to kick off my perpetual grow. All in all I should be under 1500 total watts between both tents and all the subsystem equipment. That being said my goals and aspirations are 1 pound a month once I am at full operation. Cheers ICmag.. :smoweed: :ying: :ying:

Im not using FFOF as a base, Im using all three and the plants dont look like that as a result of my soil, I assure you that. I been using this blend for years, plus or minus a change in the base.

okay...then, why do they STILL look like that...

And not...still that second pic...how is it so short...it is a reveg? Or 12/12 from seed that got taken out of flower or what? Seriously...

Not trying to bust your balls, but I'd be weary of a seed bank that sells single seeds. Good luck to you sir.

Thanks man, I baught them in a 5 pack from attitude seeds but for some reason I couldnt list that URL. ICmag would blank it out if I did so I just linked to another website with the same description.

Ya I thought it was weird too. The soil these plants were in was just a top soil from a hardware store. No amendments added and they were being watered with plain tap. So I imagine sever pH problems and a huge lack of nutrients. Surprised they never died.......

Whats up man,

Good luck on your setup!

Maybe check seedbay for some genetics! They got some affordable quality beans over there. Anyways, keep the good work and good luck once again! :)

Thanks dude. I cant wait until my seeds get here. I order some white dutch clover to make a nice living mulch for my PPP in my small soil beds, even got some live earth worms to throw in there.

Slow process but I cant wait until things are how I like them. Its probably been a good 6-7months since I had my last grow. Mainly because I had no place to set anything up. Anyway, Im really looking forward to this and these soil beds.

My white ditch clover seeds arrived today which are being used for a live mulch. I planted them in my soil beds and once it is established I will add the red worms..... The soil is probably really hot still. Its only been sitting for about 2 weeks and I blended these beds hot because the are going to be used for a long time.....

I setup the veg tent and and installed the lighting. Right now I have T8s being used but if they dont do the trick I will get a nicer 6bulb T5. I shall see. I don't know whether or not I will put a carbon filter in this tent, I have one for it but during the winter this basement is a ambient 55 degrees. I will have a hard time keeping this tent warm and I really dont want to use a space heater. Running one of those is like having another 600w HPS running. I want to use as little as much power as possible while cracking out some good weight.

Once I get the flower tent setup I will run a circulating duct system between both tents so the heat of the bloom lamps can be distributed and used for heating both tents.

Anyway, that will be a while down the road because I wont have plants for that tent for a little bit.....damn....:dance013:

The way your setting up is pretty much the same as mine . 4 x8 flower ,4 x4 veg , a clone & small veg cabinet & a mom box . side by side 600's in flower harvested basicly once a month . i use a 250 watt MH in veg & T5's in the clone cab & mom box . I am constantly upgrading things here though . i switched from 400's to 600's recently , now i'm ditching the cooltubes & going with blockbuster hoods . gonna be adding flood tables & catch pans next ... etc ... the only differences are soils, nutes & strains .
I'll grab a seat & watch yer grow if ya don't mind :)

i've got a few pics if ya want to see them .

^^Thanks for looking dude. I checked your grow out and it is a lot like my last grow where I used 2- 1k hoods in a 4x8 tent. Your buds look awesome too, makes my mouth water! I hope I get nice plants this round... Im really excited to finally give a vertical bulb a whirl.:jump:

What i think is going to happen is I will probabaly not like the results of the LED lights in bloom and will use them as my veg lights and throw another 600w vert bulb in the bloom tent.

There are guys on this forum getting 20oz off a single 600w bare bulb. Its absolutely amazing and if I can do that once a month I will be stoked!
