That's what I'm talkin' about. I wanna know what the Durban can do to some other heavy hitters other than og and such.

i would love to see some nice f1 durban or some pics of durban..it seems like a rare strain on ICmag. i know the guys in CO were working a purple durban cut that looked real nice...

guerilla i hear that...and i agree. but i will not be releasing any untested genetics.....if i decide to make S1s from the GSC i will do a large test run before selling anything at 100 a pack...if i dont find the uniformity they go to server fund...if i find instability and hermie tendancies they go to the guerilla seed bomb pile.....hope that clears up my position....im also not working with genetics that i simply ran to harborside to get, my circle has been in talks with pretty reputable genetics collecters and breeders in the US and europe to figure out how to do this properly, we are sourcing tried and true pollen and males from the breeders themselves that they used in their own genetics lines, not phenos from their seed releases....for sake of everything id like to keep the identities of everyone involved private for now but stay tuned.....

i do agree that just taking some elite clone, crossing it to another elite clone, and trying to charge 160 bucks a pack is a little steep, but thats the market and if people are willing to pay than so be it.....the way to challenge that process, is to go ahead and make seeds yourself and charge 40 a pack for it and undercut them...but in order to do that properly you would need to source the clone $$$, grow the clones out for 3 months $$$$, pollen hack and test the beans for another 2-3 months $$$, and than if at that point you realize that your seeds are golden, why sell them for cheaper than untested pollen hack experiments? most folks would realize they got bills to pay and try to squeeze as much money out of the last 6 months of work that they can...

its similar to people who are complainig about GSC price for buds or clone....some broke kids are like "whhaaa? 300 a zip? i cant afford that"....well then enjoy your 150 a zip outdoor buddy!! or a grower spending 1500 for a GSC clone, 10k to setup a grow, and then enter the market and only charge 2500 for his GSC packs........the art of business is charging a price that benefits both you and the customer and doesnt leave the producer undercutted or the customer ripped off...

and thanks to Karma for dropping by i think the ideals he follows on seed breeding is something most breeders should adhere too...descriptive details on parents, quality pictures of phenos, good relationship with testers and putting the best possible genetics to market. lots of excellent growers here on IC who are going to breed the cookies the best possible way.

Been thinking about it and I really think that Durban sets off that cross. As previously stated, that cut from the city is apparently no slouch..
Got me about to buy a pack of them for my own little future projects.
Nice posts Yes4, as usual.

Any one know how the Cherry Pie and GSC perform SOG? My CP looks SO tight in internode spacing with its alternating nodes that it seems like it would be perfect at throwing out baseball bats when flowered. She just takes so long to veg.

This is 42 under a 1k in a 4x4 right here. You can def spot the couple sours that tower over the cherries. Not sure about the numbers yet but I'm happy with the results so far. I think these are 5.25 inch pots

I've said it from the get go...Durban is what make's cookies so special, but the original durban is not the best looking plant. Very leafy and weird smell that puts many off. I feel the effect from the uppity sativa, coupled with a hard hitting OG and GDP triangle makes this quite a plant. You could easily cross all three in various ways, but to get the best from all 3 would take a lot of time and effort. Although all three are great in their own (Durban, GDP, & OG) to find something with a blend like GSC is a rare gem.

Hard nugs dense as rocks, greasy thc coating, with purple/blue sugar leaves. When broken up she reeks of thin mints and the taste is as distinct as albino pussy. I may go from flowering to just being a motherer, she's that special.

I grew a bunch of Durban poison pre-2000 . I believe it was from Dutch Passion . Plants were short/squat , finished under 70 days . They had a very potent up, cerebral head effect with some body . The flavor was full on anise/licorice .

Yeah that's Durban. My friend REv has worked Durban into quite a few crosses he has in storage and running some of that stock now. He got his stock from a friend in South Africa. I love African genetics and Malawi rocks too!

As for GSC I'll be back in the Bay area in a few weeks and maybe next time will run across some...Beuller...Beuller...:)
